Renesmee Cullen and the Angel's Domain

Chapter 14: Beginning of the End

Angel and Renesmee stood still as Lilith Demona approached them. Her green eyes were coal black and she was holding a silver dagger in her hand. "Well, well, if it isn't the hybrid freak and her lover," Lilith sneered. "I was hoping I'd run into you."

"Let me guess," said Renesmee with a grin, "you want to kill me."

"That's the plan," Lilith hissed, "and I plan on doing so for my master." Angel growled and stepped in front of Renesmee. Lilith chuckled. "I see your dear Angel wants to defend you." Angel said nothing and did not move a muscle. "Well, I guess you'll die as well."

"Not on my watch," Renesmee snarled. She pushed Angel out of the way and launched herself at Lilith, who caught her by the throat and threw her backwards into the marble staircase. "Okay, that hurt," she growled while drawing her wand. "STUPEFY!" A jet of red light hit Lilith in the chest, but the spell had no effect.

Lilith laughed. "Your magic is no use, you little twerp," she snarled. Renesmee gasped as a Lilith launched a blast of raw energy at her. Renesmee slammed against the double doors to the Great Hall leaving a dent in one of the doors. "Let's see if you die like the vampires I've killed before!"

"Not this time, Lilith!" a voice cried out. Angel, Lilith and Renesmee looked at the doors leading to the fountain courtyard entrance and saw Gabe McSaint standing there. "I'm sorry, Lilith, but your reign of terror is over."

"Gabe?" Renesmee said breathlessly. "What are you doing here? What the hell is going on?"

Gabe smiled at her. "I thought you would've guessed by now, Nessie," he said. "I'm the Archangel Gabriel." Renesmee gasped. "I was sent by Michael to protect you and you showed me that you can handle yourself." She nodded. "The Slayer and her crew, especially Angel, aren't protecting Hogwarts because they want to. They are here because it's their destiny to protect the Wizarding World and the mortal world from the forces of darkness just like it's your destiny to go into battle for the final war."

"Okay, I sort of understand that, but how am I supposed to stop Lilith? She's the strongest demon and the first demon created by Lucifer." Renesmee demanded.

Gabe gave her a smile and, with a wave of his h and, conjured a small dagger. "Use this dagger. It will send Lilith to Hell once more."

Renesmee gripped the dagger in her hand just as Lilith regained her energy and lunged at the half-breed heroine. "You're mine, Lilith!" Renesmee snarled. The fight was on and the two supernatural beings were evenly matched. Whenever Renesmee tried to stab Lilith with the dagger, Lilith parried the attack and vice versa. Finally, Renesmee found an opening and plunged the dagger's blade into the demon's chest. Lilith's eyes widened as her body glowed black and purple.

"You haven't seen the last of me, Cullen!" Lilith yelled. "I'll get you! Lucifer will return to the surface and when he does, I'll be with him!"

Renesmee looked into the demon's eyes with a mixture of anger and confidence. "I'm counting on it," she hissed and yanked the blade out of the demon's chest. Lilith vanished in a flash of gold light leaving Renesmee fatigued from the fight.

At the end of the year, the day the students went home for the summer holidays, Renesmee and Angel gazed at the grounds from the Astronomy Tower. "I hope Mom comes to her senses," she said resting her head on Angel's shoulder. "Dad's okay with us, but Mom won't even talk to us at all."

"She'll come around," Angel said confidently. "It took a while for Buffy's mom to come around, too. Just give her some time." Renesmee sighed but nodded. Perhaps it would work out after all.

A/N:I apologize for the late updates, everyone. I've been busy moving and haven't had enough time to throw any chapters together. I also apologize for how short this chapter came out. I'm sorry to say this is the final chapter of Angel's Domain. Book 4 of the series will be up soon.
