Chapter 5
The next morning Regina woke at 6am, she had always been an early riser. She lay and watch a sleeping Emma, who seemed content to be sprawled out on the bed. Clutching one of Regina's hands.
Regina smiled as the sun rose and shined through her blinds. Emma began to stir and blink a few times, taking in her surroundings. The woman had begun to blush as she saw what her hand was grasping.
"Sorry about that."
Regina smiled and chuckled. "Could be worse, it could have been my boob."
"Right. Well, why don't I brush my teeth quick and while you take your shower I'll set up some coffee?"
After kissing her now girlfriend, Regina pulled away and got off the bed. "Sounds great."
Emma went downstairs and started the process of making coffee, strong. She knew that was the way her Queen liked it. She bobbed her head, as if a melody only she could hear played in her head. She could hardly believe the Queen was now her girlfriend. She loved Regina with everything she had, even more so if that was possible.
She was concerned about her safety though, particularly with the rest of the town, her parents included. Snow and Regina had formed a tentaitive friendship, but it was surely about to be shot to hell when her mother found out she was in love with the Queen.
Emma heard a sound behind her, only to turn and catch a glimpse of Regina in nothing but a silk bathrobe. The older woman smiled a predatory smile and Emma gulped. "Shower is free, unless you rather stand there gawking."
It seemed as though Emma was transfixed by the sight of the brown haired woman. Regina walked over to her and placed a kiss on her lips, a feather like feeling against the woman who was frozen in place. "You look beautiful Gina."
Regina blushed. "You do as well Princess. Now go shower, I'll have breakfast ready by the time you come back down."
Walking out of the kitchen Emma took one long look at Regina, She couldn't help but think, "I'm going to marry that woman."

Across town Snow, David, baby Neal and Henry were all awake having breakfast. Henry had to be off to school soon, but he told his grandmother he had to stop home for something first. Really, he just wanted to see if Emma fixed what she'd done.
Making his way up the walk of the mansion Henry could hear laughter coming from the kitchen. When he crept up to the patio doors he could see everything. There before him sat both his mothers; smiling, laughing and- holding hands?
He came up short as he realized they had spent the night together, Emma had never come back to the loft. He didn't think Emma would try taking advantage of his mom, but the fact was he needed to give her a stern talking to.
As he opened tthe doors Henry noticed the women's hands shoot apart and a blush creep up both their faces. "Hi mom, Ma. I just forgot a textbook up in my room. Oh Ma? Could you drive me this morning? I don't want to be late." he said as he bolted upstairs.
Before Emma could respond he was already gone. She noticed the rather green tinge coloring Regina's face. She took one of Regina's hands and placed it against her own chest. "As long as this is beating I will never allow someone to come between us, to hurt you or to treat you like any less of the Queen you are."
Regina smiled slightly, kissing Emma quickly, always listening for Henry to come downstairs. "We have to tell him."
Emma nodded. "Tonight, right after dinner."
Regina's lips twitched. "Dinner hu?"
"Of course. Swan-Mills family dinner."
"Since when do we hyphenate our last names?" Regina asked, knitting her brow in confusion.
Emma simply shrugged and called to Henry letting him know she'd be in her bug and to say goodbye to his mom.
The drive to the school for Henry was a difficult one. Emma seemed relaxed, blissfully unaware that her son was about to give her "the talk".
"You slept with my mom."
Emma sputtered her to go cup of coffee down her shirt, the one she had on last night. "Henry what would give you that idea?"
"I saw you guys in the kitchen- holding hands. You two hate each other. What could possibly be the other explanation that you took advantage of my mom and now she doesn't hate you?"
Emma sighed. She didn't want to do this without Regina but she couldn't let Henry continue thinking what he did. She pulled out her phone and Regina answered on the third ring.
"Emma I-"
"I think you should call the school and tell them Henry will be staying home today. High fever or something. That thing we discussed? It can't wait until dinner tonight."
Regina was silent for a beat. "Come home and we'll tell him."
Emma couldn't help but smile at the word home.
