With a bang the door to Sam's apartment burst open, the three of us poured in and took off in different directions. Sam had to find Carly, and Mikaela and I had to help Sam. We searched for what seemed like hours before returning together by the front door,
"Where could she be?" Sam roughly ran his hands through his hair as he paced back and forth.
"Aren't your parents parked right outside? Would they know?" Mikaela asked.
Sam went wide eyed before taking off down the stairs, the two of us trailing behind. We all stormed into Mom and Dad's RV, the two of them jumped up from their couch – both were in matching pajamas.
"Delyia! We missed you so much sweetie!" Mom called as she wrapped her arms around me.
"Sam what's going on?" Dad asked.
"Have you guys seen Carly?"
Dad and Mom looked to each other before shrugging, "No we haven't why? Is she missing?" Mom asked.
Sam shook his head, "No, just that we kind of got into a fight and she drove off. Now she isn't home and I'm worried is all."
"Sam," Mom sighed before placing a hand on his shoulder, "Are you sure you want to continue this relationship with that girl? I mean you already had one world-class hottie and you gave that up –" Sam coughed and pointed to Mikaela who was somewhat hiding behind me.
Mom's face broke into a wide grin as she rushed forwards to envelope Mikaela into a huge hug.
"Mikaela! Oh I missed you so much! I wish I got to come out here more so I could see you all. Anyway back to Sam," Mom returned to staring Sam down, "You both seem to be fighting every time I call Sam, I don't think –"
"Mom drop it please, we've had this conversation." Sam spit through gritted teeth.
Mom threw up her hands, and turned to plop down on the couch.
"If you want her somuch go get her, don't let her slip through your fingers. Although, I think you should just ask Mi-"
"Bye Mom, I remember where Carly went!" Sam called as he took off.
"Boys." I muttered, Mom giggled as she waved goodbye to us.
Mikaela and I whipped around and ran after Sam. Remembering the situation we were all in and skidded to a halt and ran back into the RV.
"Mom, Dad, I love you guys – get out of the city and as far away as you can. I can't tell you why but just trust me okay?"
They looked to me with a mixture of worry and terror as I waved and blew them a kiss, before taking off after Mikaela.
After hours of running through the dark, damp city, we finally happened across what seemed like a villa. Sam stopped and looked around before turning to Mikaeal and I,
"This has to be it."
"What're you talking about Sam?" I asked, "What 'is it'?"
"Carly went to her work party tonight, and this is the address she had given me a few days ago. This has got to be where she is, let's go."
Sam stormed towards the Mansion, fury radiating off of him.
"What're we supposed to do just waltz in there? Mikaela and I weren't invited remember!" I had to practically run to keep up with him.
"Then stay outside." He huffed as he shoved open the doors.
Ignoring all of the staff that fluttered around him, barking questions and attempting to throw him out, he searched each room until he found the blonde in the blue dress he was searching for. Carly looked up with wide eyes as Sam, Mikaela, and I all rushed into the room, and up to her table.
"You know, it's kinda funny. On my way here I was just thinking to myself: Man, I could really use some advice from Dylan." Sam spat, before turning to Carly. "Carly, can we go outside and speak really quick?"
"Hello Sam, come in, sit down, have a drink please." The man named Dylan gestured to the chair, his voice was thick with sarcasm.
"No thank you, I'd rather just take my girlfriend outside, and have a few words with her if you don't mind." Sam sneered. "I don't need your fancy, shitty offerings of cars, or money, or anything else. Just let me take my woman in peace." Sam held a hand out to Carly.
She looked up at him, eyes as big as the moon, and made no position to move. Sam took her hand, and she allowed him to pull her up and walk her out. As we turned, I heard Dylan get up from his table and walk out with us. He was mumbling something to Sam but they were to far ahead for Mikaela and I to hear. All of a sudden Sam screamed at us to run, and we did so without a second thought. Our feet pounded against the marble floors as we raced outside, and into the Benz that Sam mentioned earlier.
"What's happening?!" I asked as the car started.
"He is working for the Decepticons!" Sam screeched.
The car moved a few feet before it sputtered and creaked, the doors seemed to shudder and shake as it suddenly felt as if we were caught in an earthquake. My heart dropped into my lower abdomen as we were ejected from the car, and Sam, Carly and I rolled along the grass. Dylan walked over and helped Carly up, dusting her off as they walked over to what I now saw was a Decepticon, half transformed, holding on to Mikaela.
"C-Carly?" Sam croaked, his eyes half-filled with hurt.
She raised a perfect brow, her expression revealed no hesitation.
"Dylan can give me things you never could in your wildest dreams Sam, and tonight was the perfect example of that. Not only is Dylan a gentleman, but he's a thousand times wealthier than you could ever be, he's even going to pay his half of the rent when we move in together. In fact, I don't think we'll even need rent, together we'dd be making so much others will pay us to take their homes from them." Carly cackled as she leaned against Dylan, her perfect body conforming to his.
"You really think that you're the special, first man to ever be asked to join this noble alien cause?" Dylan asked as he walked closer to Sam, "Do you know why we've never been back to the moon since 1972? It was all because of these two," He pointed to the half transformed 'Con, and a bird=looking 'Con I hadn't noticed before, "approacjed my father and made, an arrangement. They told him to make it too expensive for anyone to ever return to the moon again, create some expensive accounting. And so, he did what he was told and he and others shut down the American and Russian space programs." Dylan walked around to the half-transformed Decepticon, and was now surrounded by four body guards. "And they've been our clients, ever since." Carly joined him at his side.
"Sam! Delyia! Help me – get help please!" Mikaela cried from the shackles of the 'Con.
"Let her go!" Sam screamed.
"Uh uh!" Dylan help up a hand and motioned towards Mikaela.
Razors, knives, spinning tools, and more erupted from the Decepticon and pointed towards Miakela, "I wouldn't do that if I were you Sam." Dylan snickered.
"You helped them kill people?"
"Did I have much of a choice? It's not like a personally contributed, I merely passed on information." Dylan shrugged. "I am a liaison, I liaise."
What do I do – oh my god. My heart thumped a mile a minute as I watched all of this unfold. Dylan, as if hearing my thoughts, turned to me.
"But why am I explaining all of this, surely your beloved sister knows some details?" He raised a brow, and waited a few moments. "No? Oh well, let me explain this to you then."
The body guards came up and held Sam down, Dylan grabbed onto Sam's wrist and that's when I saw it: another watch. I felt my heart burst in a flurry of hatred and agony as Sam struggled against the body guards. I felt the ever remaining watch on my wrist, a sinking feeling told me pain was about to come my way.
"Sam! Delyia!" Mikaela cried out from the car as the blades came closer to her.
"It's time you two," Dylan looked between Sam and I, I caught Sam's expression: it was full of confusion and hurt.
"It time. You are to hunt down Optimus Prime, you are to ask him the following: How are you intending to fight back? What are your strategies, tactics, everything! You are to find out every inch of their retaliation plan, and when that is done and only when that is complete: you will be free."
A white hot, searing pain erupted from my wrist as the watch buzzed in response to what Dylan was saying. I fell to my knees as the throbbing agony races over every limb, every cell, every muscle in my body. Through my blurry vision I saw Sam fall to his knees as well,
"Has a nasty bite doesn't it? It can hear everything you say, everything around you, it can even sense your thoughts. So if you so much as even think about telling your little Autobot friends about this, you'll get that nasty surprise of pain until you eventually pass out, or even die I don't know how long it goes." He turned to me with a smirk before turning to Sam,
"Now you and your little sister can serve the Decepticons together, as a family. She's had her prison placed upon her for some time now, how long has it been? Three, four years?"
He laughed as he turned to walk away, wrapping on arm around Carly and stepping into another vehicle. After a few minutes of blinding pain, the throbbing began to subside enough for the two of us to stand up. We looked at one another for sometime, both of us not knowing what to say. Sam didn't need to say anything, I could see it in his looks: he didn't know whether to trust me, hurt me, yell at me, or break down and cry. I ran and hugged him, a small sob pushed through my chest. After a moment he hugged me back and we stood there soaking in everything that just happened.
"At least you're not alone now." Sam muttered, before separating himself from me.
"I would rather be alone then have you in the middle of this mess now too." I hiccupped as I tried to hold back more tears.
"Well, we don't have a choice now – we have to do what they say."
"Let's go find them then." I sighed.
