AN: Hey guys! I am SO incredibly sorry that it's been so long! Life has been crazy these past few months, I've had an insanely bad case of writer's block, and I'm about to be back in school soon, so...yeah. But I just want to say thank you SO much to every. single. one. of. my. readers for being so amazingly patient with me. I LOVE Y'ALL! Alright, well, thanks for reading, and I hope you like it! :D

She says that she's fine. Her brothers give her worried glances, random touches of reassurance, but she tells them that those glances and touches are unnecessary.
She's fine.
At sixteen years old, she goes to school with her brothers. She makes a friend, but her friend is rude to her and makes her feel bad about herself.
But she says that she's fine.
At seventeen years old, she believes a boy that tells her he loves her. She really does love him. But he really doesn't love her. He asks her to do things that she doesn't want to do. She doesn't do those things. So he leaves her for another girl. Her family looks at her sadly, tells her that he isn't worth anything.
But she smiles and says she's fine.
At eighteen years old, her secret is revealed. She runs from the government with her family, and eventually, they come back and are accepted by the government. But she isn't accepted at school. The girls she had once been friends with leave her side, and instead of talking with her, they talk about her. She makes marks on her skin, then she doesn't eat. Her brother wonders about her health, and asks her if she's okay.
She tells him she's fine.
At almost nineteen years old, she takes a good, long look at herself in a mirror. The old scars on her body will never go away, but she's finally regaining her weight. True, the mental scars are still there, but maybe things are better now.
She thinks that she really is fine.
But at nineteen years old, she decides that she shouldn't trust him, and that the only boys she can trust are her dad, uncle and brothers. And when depression strikes, they ask her if she's okay.
She says that she's fine.
And she thought that she was.
But at twenty years old, it all comes out. They're sitting at home, eating dinner. All of the kids are staying at home for winter break, and they've had a good week so far. But something breaks her suddenly. And she sobs. Strong arms hug her, first her siblings, then her dad, then her uncle and finally her step-mom. And they let her cry.
And cry.
And cry.
And when she finishes, she tells them the truth.
She isn't fine.
And she never had been.
AN: So, I know that it's short and pretty sad. But this came to me this morning and I figured that it was better than nothing. It also gives me more ideas of what to write about, so if you guys are interested in seeing it, I'll write a chapter per age of Bree's life based on the things in this chapter. So, for example, I'll write a chapter about Bree at seventeen, explaining in more detail what happened with her and the boy that was discussed in this chapter. Does that sound good? If you'd like to see me write a few chapters about the different things mentioned in this chapter, leave me a review and tell me so! Please and thanks. :D Again, I'm so, SO sorry this took so long to be posted. D; Thanks for reading, reviewing, favoriting, and following, if you do! :D Later! :P
