Chapter 6

Dragon quest

(No. Not that one.)

Okay time for chapter 6 and time to explain to everyone just how Yubel got her cards. Well, nothing more to say than that other than to Zobyra. Sorry. But you can't mind trick a Sith Lord.

Okay guys. Without further delay... Let's kick it up.

We join our heroes in the rec room of the Red dorm, joined by Kaiba, who egerly awaiting the story on how exactly Yubel got a set of Blue Eyes cards.

"Before I begin, I need to ask one thing." Jaden said before turning to Kaiba. "Mr. Kaiba, do you believe in Duel Spirits?" He asked as Kaiba leaned back and closed his eyes.

"Kid, I've seen plenty of crazy things in my life. So by now, there isn't a whole lot I don't believe in." Kaiba said, getting a nod from Jaden

"Okay, so it all started right after Yubel and I found each other in the woods." Jaden started to explain.

(Flashback)

Jaden and Yubel were walking through woods on the island.

"Uh, Jaden." Yubel said, getting Jaden's attention. "Where are we going?" She asked as the two of them continued their trek.

"Well, I figure that your'e going to need some cards if you're going to be at Duel Acadamy." Jaden said as they came to a clearing and up to a well. Jaden then rolled a rope ladder down into to the well. "After you." He said as he motioned his hand over to the well.

"Why thank you, good sir." Yubel joked before climbing in to the well.

"This is where all the Acadamy students dump the cards they don't want anymore." Jaden explained as he reached the bottom of the latter.

"That's awful." Yubel said, feeling sorry for the spirits of the cards.

"I know. But I figured you'd be able to give some of them a home in your deck." He said.

"Jaden? Is that you?" A familiar voice called to Jaden, who then turned around to see a trio of cards depicting three little imps.

(Flashback interrupted)

"Wait, are you saying..." Alexis began to asked.

"Yup." Jaden said as he pulled the three cards out. "Chazz's Ojamas.

(Return to flashback)

"Ojama Yellow?" Jaden asked in shock before running to the card and picking it up. "What are doing here?" He asked, knowing that no matter what Chazz said, he loved the Ojama cards and would never get rid of them.

"The Boss lost to this creepy guy called 'Sartorius'." Ojama Black said as Jaden picked up both his card and Ojama Green's.

"Next thing you know, he starts babbling about some 'Society of Light' and ditches us back down here." The green imp said.

"They're moving faster than expected. I need to get ready, fast." Yubel said as she came up to Jaden.

"Right. We need to get you some cards." Jaden said.

"Wait." Ojama Yellow said as Yubel and Jaden turned back to him. "If you're looking for some good cards, just look right over there." He said as Yubel walked over to a corner and bent down to pick up a pile of cards before her eyes widened.

"What is it?" Jaden asked as Yubel held up the card and much to his surprise, it was the Red Eyes Black Dragon. "How did you end up here?" He asked the card before his eyes began to glow and he read the cards past.

The Red Eyes cards that Yubel had just found had belonged to Atticus Rodes. After he had been freed from being Nightshroud, he had brought his deck to the well and threw it in, vowing never to use them again. Weather out of fear or guilt, neither the cards nor Jaden could tell.

(Flashback interrupted.)

"Alright. That explains where she got the Red Eyes cards. But what about the Blue Eyes?" Kaiba asked him.

"It's coming up." Jaden said as he continued the story.

(Return to Flashback:)

Jaden and Yubel arived at a lake in the center of the island.

"Okay, here we are." Jaden said as he lead Yubel to a waterfall.

"Why are we here exactly?" Yubel asked as Jaden raised his hand and opened a portal.

"To test you and maybe to get you some more friends." Jaden explained as they stepped through the portal and stood before someone Jaden had dueled the year before.

"Kaibaman." Jaden greeted the Duel Spirit.

"Come for a rematch, have you?" Kaibaman asked as Jaden shook his head.

"I'm not here to Duel you." Jaden said before gesturing to Yubel. "She is, and if she wins I want you to work for her." He said, getting a smirk from Kaibaman

"You think she can beat me?" He asked as he sized up Yubel.

"I do." Jaden said as he waved his hand over Yubel and created her red and blue Duel Disk. "You've got this." He whispered in her ear.

"If you think I can win, then I know I can." Yubel said as she focused in a Kaibaman and activated her three bladed Duel Dish.

"You don't waste any time. I respect that." Kaibaman said as his own dragon wing Duel Disk.

"I'll start things off." Yubel said as she drew a card. I summon Alexandrite Dragon in attack mode!" She called out as the gem covered dragon took the field. "Now I play two cards face down and end my turn." She said before Kaibaman drew a card. "I activate my trap card! Thunder of Ruler! Now you have to skip your battle phase this turn. "She said with a grin.

'Playing both attack and defense at the same time. Smart.' Kaibaman thought before recovering and playing a magic card with a chessboard with four dragon pieces on it. "First I activate Dragonic Tactics and send my Spear Dragon and Luster Dragon to the Graveyard so I can special summon from my deck, my Blue Eyes White Dragon!" Kaibaman called as the first Blue Eyes took the field. "Now I summon Kaibaman!" He called out as he normal summoned... Well, himself. "Now sacrifice Kaibaman to summon my second Blue Eyes!" He called out as Blue Eyes number two came out.

'Okay, that could be a problem.' Yubel thought before looking at Jaden, who was giving her a confident smile, causing her confidence to return as she drew another card and smirked.

"I activate Cost Down!" She called out before pulling another card from her hand. "Now I activate Change of Heart to take control of one of your Blue Eyes. Now I sacrifice your Blue Eyes White Dragon and summon my Red Eyes Black Dragon!" She called out before she summoned the ferocious dragon to the field. "Now I activate Card of Sanctity!" She called as both of them drew until they had six cards.

"Next up, I activate Dragon Nails!" She called out as Red Eyes' attack points jumped up to 3000 Now I activate Banner of Courage! Now Red Eyes destroy his Blue Eyes!" She called as the white Dragon was destroyed by the red flames shot from Red Eyes as Kaibaman's Life Points dropped down to 7800 before she had Alexandrite Dragon attack directly and his Life Points dropped to 5600.

'Alright!' Jaden thought as he saw Kaibaman cringe.

"Fine then." He said as he drew another card. "I activate Hand Destruction and send two cards from my hand to the Graveyard. Now I activate Necro Fusion!" He called out as a card with three Spirits being sucked in to a vortex came up. "Now by removing three monsters from the came for 500 points each, I can fusion summon this. My Blue Eyes Ultimate Dragon!" Kaibaman shouted as the three headed dragon took the field and the duel spirits life points dropped to 4100. "Now, Blue Eyes Ultimate Dragon! Attack her Red Eyes." He called out.

"Oh, no you don't. I activate Negate Attack!" Yubel called out as Kaibaman's battle phase was forced to end.

"You won't be able to keep that up forever." Kaibaman said as Yubel drew her next card.

"I don't need to." She said before holding up a monster card. I sacrifice my Red Eyes and my Alexandrite Dragon in order to summon my second Red Eyes Black Dragon!" She called out before pulling out another monster card. "Now I sacrifice my Red Eyes Black Dragon in order to summon my Red Eyes Darkness Dragon." She shouted as the black dragon covered in red lights appeared.

"Nice try. But even with the power boost your dragon gets from the monsters in the grave yard, it's still not powerful enough to destroy my dragon.

"Not once I activate this. Amulet of Ambition!" She called out as she had the Red Eyes Darkness Dragon attack the Blue Eyes Ultimate Dragon with the formers attack points being boosted to 5400 and the white dragon was destroyed and Kaibaman's life points dropped to 3800. "I'm not done yet. I activate Monster Reborn to bring back your Blue Eyes Ultimate Dragon. Only this time, she's on my side." Yubel grinned as she ended her turn and Kaibaman drew another card only to let out a sigh.

"I surrender." He said much to the shock of Yubel. "There's nothing I can do. There's not a combo I can pull off with any of cards in my hand. You win." The Sprit said with a smile before placing the Blue Eyes cards on the ground and went in to his own card.

Yubel then walked over to the cards and placed them in her Duel Disk, both she and Jaden glowing with pride at the victory.

(Flashback end.)

"And that's how it happened." Jaden said as Kaiba's attention turned to Yubel and grinned slightly.

"To be able to beat someone with my skills. You have defiantly earned those cards." He said before he got up from the couch before walking to the Door. "I look forward to seeing what you can really do with them." He said before leaving the dorm and pulling out his phone.

"Well, the girl is defiantly good and if you're right about Jaden, I am looking forward to the end of this tournament." Kaiba said before the person on the other end made a comment. "Of course I'm exited. Other than you and Joey, there aren't a lot of Duelists that can give me a good challenge, let alone the two of us together." He said as he looked back the dorm and said "This is going to be fun."
