Chapter 8
Crystal reunion
Well time for chapter 8. Now before we begin I need to tell you guys that I've decided against putting Dark Magician Girl in to Jaden's harem because of her having a thing for Syrus. Well, with that explained... Let's kick it up!

Jaden and Blair were sitting at the couch with a data pad going over a read out of what her uniform would look like.
"So I'm guessing you'll want a red outline." Jaden assumed.
"Yeah, that'll be great. I think I'd also like to have my blazer open. So I'll need a good looking shirt." Blair said.
"Hmm." Jaden pondered for a second. "I'm thinking you'd look good in orange." Jaden said before pressing on the pad a bit for the rough draft.
"Oh that looks great." Blair said with a smile.
"I thought you'd like it." Jaden said with a grin. Suddenly, Jadens PDA began beeping and he looked at it to see that he had a message from Shepard. "I gotta go." He said before he got up to leave.
After Jaden left the room, Yubel and Alexis came up behind Blair.
"We need to talk." Yubel said as Blair got an uneasy look on her face.
A few minutes later, Jaden arrived at Sheppard's office.
"You needed to see me?" Jaden asked as he entered.
"Yes, I just thought I'd inform you that construction on the Black Dorm is officially ready to begin." Sheppard informed Jaden. "Though I am curious. What do you think should be done with the Red Dorm?" He asked.
"Have it refurbished to be used for guests or students who haven't been put in one of the dorms yet. Also, I think we should expand the rec room to be used as a hangout for everyone." Jaden said.
"That sound likes a good plan." Shepard said before getting up and shaking Jaden's hand. Suddenly, Jaden's eyes began to glow.
"I've gotta go." I just remembered something I have to do." Jaden said before rushing out of the office and leaving Shepard looking rather confused.
Back at the rec room:
Blair was standing next in front of Alexis and Yubel looking like a deer in the headlights.
"Okay, Blair. You have a thing for Jaden don't you?" Yubel asked having already been given Blair's story by Alexis.
"Y-yeah." Blair said as with a stutter, feeling a bit intimidated by Yubel.
"Alright then. I just want to make one thing clear. If you want Jaden, you'll have to share." Yubel smirked.
"Wait, what?" Blair asked as both Yubel and Alexis began to grin.
"Here's the thing, Blair." Alexis began. "Jaden is the nicest guy that we know. So nice that he would never do anything to hurt us like picking one of us over the others." She said.
"So, Alexis and I decided to share him so he didn't have to go through the pain of hurting either of us." "Yubel said.
Blair took a moment to think before making her decision. "Okay. Having to share Jaden is better than not having him at all." Blair said.
"That's great." Yubel said before her eyes began to glow.
"Um, what was that?" Blair asked noting the glow.
"I'll let Jaden explain that to you later." Yubel smirked. "Come on, I think Jaden's about to duel someone." She said as Alexis and Blair followed her, the latter of whom was still confused.
Back with Jaden:
Our hero had just arrived at the roof of the Acadamy to find aster looking down near the docks to see a boy with blue hair wearing a black shirt, black pants, black boots and a sleeveless blazer with long coat tails and a large amount of buckles. (The Dark Jesse look from season 3.)
"I should have known that he couldn't wait till the tournament." Aster said with a smile as he shook his head.
"So, any idea what his story is in this world?" Jaden asked.
"According to Pegasus, Jesse Anderson one of the top five duelists in the world despite only being a second year student at North Adademy.
"Wait, then how come they didn't have him duel me during the Academy match last year?" Jaden asked.
"Apparently he was off looking for a tablet with a dragon on it." Aster said giving Jaden a smirk.
"Ah man. You mean he doesn't have his Rainbow Dragon with him?" Jaden asked in frustration. "Oh, well. He can still give me a challange even without his Dragon or his Knights." Jaden smiled before he jumped off the roof.
Aster could only shake his head and fallow him in jumping down.
"Hey!" Jaden called. "Jesse, right?" He asked.
"Yeah." Jesse answered.
"My buddy here says your pretty good in a duel." Jaden said pointing at Aster. "What do you say you and I have a quick Duel?" He asked as Jesse got a Jaden like grin on his face.
"You're on!" Jesse exclaimed before reaching in to his bag and pulling out a black Duel Disk with blue monster zones (Battle City style not Academy.)
Both Duelist shuffled their decks before placing them in to their Duel Disks.
"Duel!" Both of them called before Jesse drew a card.
"Mind if I start things?" Jesse asked.
"Sure thing, dude." Jaden said.
"Alright, I summon Crystal Beast: Topaz Tiger!" Jesse called as he summoned forth a tiger with blades protruding from its legs and head and a yellow gem on its neck. "Next I'll put down one card face down and I think I'll my turn there." He said.
"Alright then. My move." Jaden said before drawing a card. "I summon Elemental Hero Bubble man in attack mode!" Jaden called as his hero took the field. "Since it's the only monster on my side of the field, I can draw two cards." He said before doing so and ginning. "Now I activate Mask Change!" Jaden said playing a magic depicting a warrior in red with his face covered by light.
"What does that card do?" Blair asked, surprising Aster, who turned around to see her Yubel and Blair who had apparently just arrived there.
"You're about to find out, Blair." Yubel.
"Now I use the power of Mask Change to transform my Bubbleman in to a new type of Hero!" Jaden called as Bubbleman placed his left arm over his waist as he put hid right arm diagonally over his chest with his index and middle fingers pointing out. (Classic Kamen Rider pose) "Now let's get going, Masked Hero Acid!" He called as a Blue Kamen Rider looking monster with a gold symbol over a red chest plate holding a blaster took the field. (ATK: 2600)
"With Acid on the field, all your magic and your monsters lose three hundred attack points each." Jaden said as Topaz Tiger's attack went down to 1300. "Now Acid, attack Topaz Tiger!" He called as his Hero destroyed the tiger and Jesse's life points went down to 6400. However rather than going to the graveyard. Topaz Tiger was absorbed in to its gem.
"Wait, why is it still on the field?" Alexis asked as she turned to Aster.
"The Crystal Beasts are a unique group of monsters that are sent to the spell zone rather than the graveyard when they're destroyed.
"How come?" Blair asked.
"Here's hoping you don't have to see." He said as Jaden resisted the urge to roll his eyes given that he knew Jesse didn't have his dragon.
"Your move." Jaden said, getting a nod from Jesse who drew a card before smirking.
"Alright. First I'm going to activate Gem Knight Fusion!" Jesse called causing Jaden, Aster, and Yubel's eyes to widen. "Now I fuse my Gem Knight Crystal with my Crystal Rose to form Gem Knight Seraphinite!" He called as a female monster wearing white armor and a white cape with blue gems on it and holding a glowing rapier. (ATK: 2300) And when I have this knight out on the field, I can normal summon twice this turn and I think I'll do that by summoning my Gem Knight Amber and my Gem Knight Sapphire!" He called as a male knight wearing yellow armor and a female knight wearing white armor took the field.
'Here it comes.' Jaden and Aster both thought knowing that the summoning native to their home world was about to take place. (Yup. That's how I'm working these in to the story.)
"Now, since I have two level four monsters on the field, I can do this. I overlay my two Gem Knights in order to summon Gem Knight Pearl!" Jesse called as star portal opened and out of it stepped a large knight wearing smooth white armor with its name sake gem on the chest and shoulders. (ATK: 2600) "Now I'll activate gem knight sword of union." He said as a red bladed broadsword with a blue hilt came to the hand of Gem Knight Pearl. "Now for every Gem Knight on the field other than itself, Pearl Gains 300 attack point." Jesse said as Pearls attack went to 2900.
'Well, looks like he already has his memories back.' Yubel' Thought while looking at the knight.
Jesse wasted no time and commanded his monsters to attack and Pearl destroyed Masked hero Acid before Seraphinite attacked Jaden directly, the combined damage lowering his life points to 5400.
"I think I'll end my turn there." Jesse said with a grin as Jaden drew a card.
"Alright. First I'll summon Elemental Hero Bubbleman!" He called as the blue clad hero took the field. "And since he's the only monster on my field, I can draw two cards." He said doing so. "Perfect." He said with a grin before his field zone opened up. "Now I activate Dark Fusion to fuse from my hand Elemental Heroes Avian and Burstinatrix in order to call out Evil Hero Inferno Wing!" He called as the Evil hero rose up.
::At your service, my King.:: Inferno wing said in Jaden's mind in with a smile.
"Next, I'll play Super Polymerization and discard one card to fuse Gem Knight Seraphinite with Bubbleman in order to summon Elemental Hero Gaia!" Jaden called as a black armored monster took the field. (ATK: 2200)" Now due to his effect I select one and half its attack points are transferred to him." He said as Pearl's attack points went down to 1300 and Gaia's attack points went to 3500.
"Well, no point in asking if you have your memories back." Jesse said with a grin.
"No, there isn't, buddy." Jaden said before focusing his attention to his heroes. "Now Inferno Wing, attack his Knight!" He called as the Evil Hero destroyed Pearl reducing Jesses life points to 5500 "And due to her special ability which ever point set of your monster was higher is taken from your life points. In this case, Pearl's 1900 defense points." He said as Jesse points went down to 3300. "Now Gaia, attack his life points!" Jaden called as Jesses points went down to Zero. "I'll end my turn right there."And that's game." Jaden said before both he and Jesse deactivated their Duel Disks and walked over each other before giving each other a high five.
"Good to see you, man." Jaden said.
"You, too." Jesse before Aster came in and he and Jesse gave each other a wrist bump.
"You forgot your own advice man. He can't lose when Yubel's watching." Aster said as the two of them chuckled.
"Had to be sure he had his memories back too." Jesse explained before looking to Yubel. "Speaking of Yubel. Look who's back to normal." He said before Yubel gave him a hug.
"So, why don't we head back to our place and you can explain how you got your memories back." Jaden suggested.
A few minutes later after Jaden gave an abridged explanation to Blair about his past, Jesse sat down to explain. There really wasn't much to explain in how it happened. When he ha gotten the Crystal Beast Cards from Maximillian Pegasus, Ruby Carbuncle had used their bond to restore his memories.
"After that, I went looking for my Rainbow Dragon. Luckily, I think I might have tracked it down here right before I heard about the tournament. That mixed with me finding out that you and Aster were here. Well, I couldn't stay away.
"It's a good thing you showed up when you did, bro." Aster said.
"I'll bet. Ruby sensed something was off the second she caught an eye on the island. What's up?" Jesse asked.
"The Light is back. It's taken control of a third of the students here and its agents haven taken two of the Sacred Beasts." Yubel explained.
"Oh. That's really bad." Jessie said.
"True. But now we have nothing to worry about from the Light." Jaden said with a smirk.
"What makes you say that?" Jesse asked.
"Well, on top of all the friends I've made at Duel Academy..." Jaden began looking fondly at Syrus, Alexis, Blair, and Hassleberry. "I can't think of anyone who can beat the four of us when we're together." He smiled as he, Yubel, Aster, and Jesse all put their hands together in a circle.

Well, there you go. I hope you enjoyed this chapter as well as me explaining how XYZ monsters can be used. Now for those of you wondering. I gave Jesse Gem Knights for two reasons. 1: So he'd have more than at best fifteen monsters. 2: I just thought Crystal Beasts and Gem Knights would be a good mix. Next time will likely be the GX tournament beginning. As for who duels first. I haven't decided yet. Either Syrus vs Zane or Alexis vs Chazz. Well, until next time and as always... Keep on keeping on.
