Well this is awkward... I'd say that I was caught up with other work but that's not really true... I had somethings happen around the house (getting used to living with 10 other people in a small house for 3 people) and getting used to not going to HS (that's down the road -literally- for me) and to college instead. That and I was somehow sucked into reading Harry Potter fanfictions... I don't know how that happened by the way, I was just reading one (read one) Inu Yasha that turned into about 20+ Harry Potter fanfictions. Again, I don't know how that happened.
But anyway, here I am with the next chapter, I had it planned that I was going to start picking up pace a bit (if I ever get there...) and not this chapter but the next chapter (definitively) Natsu will come in. I promise.
Anyway, here is the chapter so enjoy and review -either on the story or to complain at me for taking forever (which still won't make me write faster, by the way).

The Promise: Chapter 4:Coming Into the Light
Monday mornings are the days that everyone, whether students or employees, hated; but for Naruto, it was a day –like all days –that he could wake up around seven and not at six or –mentally shutters –five in the morning. Naruto knew that Natsu would be up by himself, getting ready while Naruto would wake up to make him breakfast before seeing him off to school that was –conveniently –just down the street; the blond would take a shower after he ate before leaving for work around seven forty-five. Whistling a tune as he walked down the dizzy staircase to his car, going through the short traffic to his job that was ten minutes away, five without traffic; he always started his day with a happy tune.
That, however, was not the case today.
Naruto, having to wake up at a little after six, was rushing around the apartment; running from his room, while in his boxers and white t-shirt, to the bathroom to start the bath for Sai –stating that he liked to bathe twice a day, one in the morning and one before going to bed. Once it started to fill, Naruto walked in to the boys' room, gently waking up Sai by whispering his name and gently running his hand through his short hair. Naruto noted that Sai and -possibly –Sasuke had inherited Itachi's soft and silky hair that ran through his thin, tan fingers; "Sai," Naruto removed his hand from the midnight hair to the small shoulder, gently shaking it, "you need to take your bath, Sai."
"Mmm," blurry dark eyes opened, blinking at the light that hit his face that came in from the door being open, "Chichi?" he whispered, eyes looking at Naruto for a second before filling with fear when remembering where he was.
Naruto gave a small smile to the boy, "Chichi left last night, remember?" After a moment, Sai nodded, relaxing a little before sitting up on his bed, rubbing his sleep filled eyes. "Come on," Naruto stood up from the bed and scooped up Sai into his arms, the boy making a soft gasp as he clinged on to Naruto as they left the room, closing the door softly to not wake up the toddler.
'You shouldn't have any real problem with Sai, he know to listen to you and if he doesn't, I'll hear about it and deal with him.' Itachi's words ran through Naruto's head as he carried Sai to the bathroom, helping him undress and get into the tub, asking if he needed help; Sai shook his head quickly before starting his bath. When Naruto closed the door to that bathroom, he returned to Sai's side of the room and pulled out the hanger that was set with today's uniform; knocking on the door to the bathroom, Naruto checked on Sai –making sure that he didn't fall asleep in the tub, a habit he quickly picked up when Kurma and Natsu fell back to sleep when bathing –while he placed the hanger on the doorknob inside the bathroom.
"You ok with some cereal?" Naruto walked into the room and knelt by the tub, giving Sai some privacy; Sai stared at the man, confusion in his eyes, "You don't pick what you want to eat, do you?" Sai shook his head, "Hmm," Naruto tapped his chin, "how about what would you like to eat?"
Sai looked at his toes, wiggling them in the water, "Um," Naruto strained to hear him, "I want to try some cereal…?"
Naruto smiled, rubbing the wet hair for confidence boost, "You like sweets?"
"A little," Sai looked up from Naruto's hand, shock show in his now awake eyes.
"Ok, when you come out I'll let you pick, ok?" Sai nodded slowly; Naruto got up and pointed to the uniform and the clean towels by the tub. "See you in a few."
Naruto went to the kitchen, pulling out a bowl, spoon and a small plastic cup and set them to the side before pulling out a small box that came with a set of chopsticks attached to it. Having it open, Naruto moved to the fridge and pulled out what could be put into the bento for Sai to eat; 'Sai loves tomatoes, so make sure there are a few slices he could eat,' Naruto pulled out small ripe tomatoes and set it on the counter. 'He also likes the little octopus weenies with some rice,' Naruto was glad that Itachi knew what Sai liked, not guessing about his child's interests like most rich parents. With the ingredients put together, Naruto started on creating a bento for all three of them. The last time he made a bento was for Itachi when he was working full time to make sure the bills were paid for the apartment while he was full time in school; Natsu argued that he wanted sandwiches –and an occasional roll or two –instead of a bento. When Naruto finished, admiring the hard work done for the bentos when he heard the bathroom door open, a clean Sai walking out in his uniform.
Noting the partial wet hair, Naruto let him pick the cereal to try for breakfast and setting it in front of him with the bowl and spoon he pulled out earlier along with a cup of orange juice on the side. Going back to the restroom and grabbing the towel that was left on the sink, Naruto returned and dried off the hair before running his hands through it, preventing it from being frizzy or tangled. "Alright," Naruto looked at the clock in the kitchen, "it's six thirty, and your ride won't be here for another half hour so I'm going to get dressed, ok?" Naruto bent over Sai's shoulder, his hair nearly touching the table, "Come get me if something happens, alright?" Sai nodded, earning a pat to the head; when Naruto left, Sai started after the man, touching his head where Naruto touched him, if felt as if his father was there to pay him.
Pulling out his clothes for the day from the closet and tossing them onto the unmade bed, the bedroom door wide open, Naruto quickly stepped into the bathroom and took a ten minute shower; when he came out, he closed the door and dressed in his suit that consisted of a white button down shirt with an orange undershirt, black slacks, and orange tie that was placed around the neck to be tied later, and matching orange socks with shiny black shoes. Grabbing his black jacket he looked around if he missed anything, Naruto left the room, his hand running through his quickly drying spikes, and found Sai sitting in the living room, watching the news. Naruto placed the jacket over the back of the couch, making sure that it wouldn't fall or get wrinkled; Naruto sat by Sai and changed the channel.
"Children shouldn't have to worry about the outside world until they get older," Naruto pulled Sai to his side, "what is there to watch for you…"
Sai looked up from his spot, "I don't like T.V."
Naruto looked at him, lips pursed to the side, "Then what do you like to do?"
"I like to read about history," Sai said softly, light blushing at Naruto's chuckle.
"How about a history channel?" Naruto surfed for the channel when Sai nodded slowly, "We can watch this while we wait, yeah?" Naruto saw the amazement that flashed in Sai's eyes, taking in the information that rolled off the T.V. When it neared seven o'clock, the doorbell went off, waking a certain toddler that was still sleeping; Naruto groaned when Sasuke started to cry, most likely seeing that he was alone in a partially dark room. "Sai, can you go get your brother?" Sai jumped to his feet, slowly walking out of the living room with his eyes glued to the T.V. before going to Sasuke. Naruto got up from the couch, stretching before going to the door; when opening it he saw someone standing in a black suit with a deep green shirt and black tie standing on the other side. Three things caught Naruto's eye when looking at this man: one being that his gray hair was slanted to one side, two being that the man had one dark brown eye and one red eyes with three dots, and three being that the man was reading a bright red book –the very same book that Naruto had worked with just a couple of months ago with Jiraiya –called Icha-Icha series.
"Is this the Uchiha-Uzumaki residence?" the man asked, flipping the page with his thumb, eyes never leaving the book that covered the lower half of his face.
Naruto blinked at the man, the question slowly going through his mind; "Why did you put Itachi's name before mine?" Naruto asked with an eyebrow raised.
The man looked up to Naruto, eyes widening for a second before giving a smile, "Because Uchiha Itachi would never bottom in any relationship," Naruto gaped at the response, "and that means that you're Uzumaki-san!" Glaring at the man for a moment, Naruto reluctantly let him into the apartment; just before Naruto could question him two little voices came out from the hallway.
"Kakashi-nii!" Sai smiled at the older man, rushing to his his stomach.
"Kaka!" Sasuke squealed before attempting to run to the man, jumping while holding onto the man's leg.
Naruto blinked in shock at the smiles and excitement that came from both Sai and Sasuke, but mostly Sai since he resembled his father -in more ways than one -the most. "Um," Naruto looked at the man, "you are?"
"Oh," the man closed the book and placed it in his inner pocket of his jacket, revealing that he work a dark green mask that covered his nose to his neck, "Hatake Kakashi," the man nodded, "you must be Uzumaki Naruto that Itachi-san told me about, correct?"
Naruto nodded, raising his hand, "Yeah, nice to meet you," Kakashi returned the gesture.
"Well, since there is some time before we have to leave," Kakashi said, "do you mind if I ask you some questions?"
Naruto shook his head, "No, I was going to ask you some questions anyway." Naruto offered for them to to sit in the living room, letting Sai continue to watch the program and Sasuke to grab his toys.
"First of all, how do you know Itachi-san?" Kakashi smiled at Sasuke who came running to him, showing him his favorite toy with a giant grin on his face.
Naruto smiled at the toddler, glancing at Sai who sat close to him, "Itachi and I used to date a few years back, before he married," Naruto said softly, his hand fixing Sai's hair that started to stick out some.
Kakashi took note on how well Naruto acted around the boys; fixing Sai's hair as if he's done it before and keeping an open eye on Sasuke as he ran around the living room with his toys scattered around everywhere. "You two dated?" his eyes widened in disbelief, "Well, that explains it," Kakashi looked Naruto up and down, seeing the similarities, noting why Itachi fell for Naruto rather than the other women.
"Explains what?" Naruto asked turning to Kakashi, his hand shifting to Sai's side.
"Explains why Itachi-san trusts you so quickly," Kakashi said, "Itachi-san came to me as a last resort to helping him with Sai when he was just a baby," he nodded to the boy is Naruto's arm, "but for Itachi-san to come to you right off the bat is," he sighed, "a bit shocking."
"Oh," Naruto looked in shock, "he only told me that he trusted me to help him raise them."
"Itachi-san is very controlling with who can be near the boys," Kakashi stated, remembering how long it took to have Itachi not hover over him while he cared for Sai. "There must be a deep reason for him to come to you," Naruto nodded slowly, "well, if I may ask, when will you be home?" he slowly stood up from the couch.
Naruto mirrored him, telling Sai to grab his things together, "I should be home after four today, but my little brother, Natsu, should be home sometime after three." Naruto quickly went to the kitchen to grab Sai's bento and putting it in his bag when he stood the door, "You have everything?" Naruto helped Sai fix his uniform: straightening out his pants and jacket, making sure the shirt was buttoned correctly.
Sai nodded, standing still as Naruto checked over once more, "Chichi said," Naruto looked up at the shy and slightly blushing boy, "that he wanted me to be with you when I was little like otouto," Naruto stopped breathing. Sai looked down to his feet, "You look like a nice mommy, Naruto-san," Naruto's heart broke hearing those longing words from Sai's mouth, hearing the desire in his voice.
Ignoring the man that stood behind him, Naruto gave a sad smile to Sai, a tan hand lifting to rub the pale and slightly red cheek, brushing away the tears, "If I couldn't be there for you when you were a baby, then I can be there for you now. How does that sound?" The need to talk to Itachi increased with another topic: who wouldn't love their own child?
Sai lifted his head, a brief smile appearing for just a second -long enough for Naruto to see, before it disappeared. "Thank you," Sai quickly moved to Naruto, his arms wrapping around his shoulders, his head resting at the curve of his neck. For a moment, Naruto wished that Sai was his own child before hugging him back just as Sai was releasing him, believing that Naruto didn't want to be touched.
Naruto poured his heart into the words he whispered to Sai, "You're welcome, little one." Pulling away when a cough was heard, Naruto quickly wiped away the remaining tear streaks before running his hand through the dark hair once more, mentally shrugging off when he saw small, thin strands of highlights in his hair, thinking it was a trick from the light. "Alright, you're ready to go!" Naruto tapped him on the nose before standing up, blinking at the wave of light headedness for kneeling for so long. He turned to Kakashi, Sai reaching for his hand as he stepped out of the apartment, "I'll tell my brother that you're dropping him off."
"If you don't mind, I'd like to stay until you come back," Kakashi said, looking down at the child in his grasp, "I was told to stay with him until you return."
Naruto nodded, "That's fine," he smiled, "I'll give him the heads up."
Kakashi nodded, waving bye to Sasuke who started to run after them but was caught by Naruto just as he passed the door; Sai turned to Naruto waving with a small smile, "Bye, Naruto-san!" Naruto couldn't help but laugh, even with a screaming and kicking Sasuke in his grasp,he watched as the two disappeared down the stairs before returned to the apartment.
Naruto checked the time, seeing that it was seven twenty -leaving twenty-five minutes before he has to leave, Naruto quickly went to change Sasuke for the day. After fighting to undress and change him after calming him down, chasing the partially naked baby around the apartment, Naruto had him in a clean set of clothes -and shoes -and sitting on the kitchen counter attempting to hand feed him. Every time Sasuke tried to reach for the spoon, Naruto would pull back, saying that was to eat the food not wear it; half way through the bowl of cereal, Naruto pulled out his cell and called one of his brothers, Kurma.
By the fourth ring, Kurma picked up the phone, "Hello?" a gruff like voice answered.
"Ah," Naruto made a face to Sasuke who turned away at the last minute from the spoon, causing the boy to giggle at Naruto who made a pout, "Kurma, it's Naruto, is Natsu still there?"
"Yeah, one sec.," shuffling could be heard before a shout, thankfully away from the phone, "here he comes."
Whining was heard on the other line before an "oh" when the phone was passed; "Aniki!" Naruto close close his eyes and imagine the small blond boy smiling into the phone, his red eyes shining with joy, "What's up?"
Shaking his head of the image, Naruto focused on the baby in front of him that was drinking from his sippy cup; "Something came up," Naruto offered another spoonful but was ignored, "do you remember Itachi?" Naruto put the bowl aside, halfway eaten, cleaning and picking up Sasuke and setting him on the floor carefully.
"Yeah, I remember him," Natsu said slowly, "why?"
Naruto gave an awkward laugh as he went to the sink to run water over the bowl, trying to rid of the remaining cereal, "Itachi is living with us again," Naruto counted to three in his head, turning to Sasuke who was pulling at his pants, lifting his cup to him.
"What?! No! He left-"
"Yes, Itachi left, but he came back; there is no use arguing about this, Natsu," Naruto refilled the cup with apple juice before returning it to Sasuke's waiting hand. "Right now Itachi is at a meeting, so he won't be back until Thursday-"
"So? What does that have to do with anything?" Natsu huffed in annoyance.
Naruto rubbed the bridge of his nose, taking a slow breath before answering; Naruto had always hated the fact that Natsu took Kurma's quick temper and attitude if something did not go his way or if he was just unhappy about one thing -or anything really. "If you stop interrupting me," Naruto hissed to the phone, "then I can tell you the situation." When hearing a mumbled "sorry" he continued, "Since Itachi isn't going to be here until Thursday, someone is going to be dropping off Sai -Itachi's eldest son -from school." Naruto waited a moment for Natsu to interrupt, "Kakashi is going to drop him off and is going to stay with both of you until I get home."
"Fine," Natsu muttered, "I guess, it's not like I have anything better to do anyway..."
Naruto smirked, leaving the kitchen to the living room, "Good, he's only four and this will be his first time away from his dad and in a new environment, Natsu, so please be nice to him." When Natsu didn't respond, Naruto sighed, "For me, Nat-Nat?"
Stomping could be heard over the line in the background, "I told you to stop calling me that!"
Naruto chuckled at the reaction, imagining a dark red blush over his tan skin in either anger or embarrassment -most likely both. "Oh of course, Nat-Nat," Natsu whined into the phone, "when they get there, I want you to call me; I'm going to try and leave a little earlier today, ok?"
"Yeah, sure," Natsu muttered, upset of the changes and mainly his older brother for not denying the stupid raven that he- no he couldn't go with that train of thought...
Naruto looked at the clock -seven forty am, "Ok, well I don't want you to be late to school, so I'm going to let you go; I'll see you later today, ok, Natsu?" Naruto smiled sadly to the phone, "I love you, Otouto, we'll talk about this when I get home."
"I love you too, Aniki," Natsu whispered, "but, I don't want to be alone when they get here; you told me not to talk to strangers, remember?"
Naruto grabbed his laptop bag, diaper bag and backpack -filled with Sasuke's new toys, that were lined up along the way by the door and layer them on top of him; pulling out a Bluetooth piece from his laptop case, the phone going to his chest pocket when the earpiece was activated. Naruto called Sasuke over while he went down his mental list, that he had everything; "How about asking if Kurma or Menma is off today?" 'Wallet, keys, three bags, baby,' Naruto looked around the room, 'T.V.!' Naruto went to turn off the T.V. and made his way to the door with Sasuke close by.
"Kurma-nii said that Menma-nii is off for the rest of the week..."
Making sure the door was locked, Naruto held out his hand for Sasuke to take before going towards the stairs; "Ok, ask Menma to call me during my lunch break so I can tell him to stay with you until I get back home." Naruto walked slowly down the stairs with Sasuke holding onto the rail, fighting the bags that wanted him to fall forward, "I have to go, call me when you get home, alright?"
"I will, I will, bye!"
Naruto hung up with the press of a button; checking if he could carry Sasuke with the bags he wore, Naruto carefully bent down and placed Sasuke on his free hip and walked quickly down the stairs, trying not to bounce Sasuke too much but enough to keep the giggles going. When reaching his copper colored 2003 Nissan Murano, Naruto unlocked the passenger side door behind the driver's seat; Naruto sat the baby into the car seat -that he found in his closet from when Natsu was Sasuke's age, placing the bags on the floor -his laptop on the seat next to Sasuke, and buckled him in. "Papa," Sasuke pointed to Naruto, "Papa?"
Naruto smiled at the baby, "Yes, Papa," Sasuke laughed and clapped his hands. When Naruto moved to the front, turning on the car and buckled himself in, Sasuke started to talk; "Ohhh, you're just too cute!" Naruto cood to the baby through the mirror, catching Sasuke's attention for a moment. "No wonder he wanted you to himself," Naruto huffed as he pulled away from the apartment complex, hitting the road and drove to his job.
Naruto looked at the clock on the dashboard, 'Seven fifty...'
Two minutes before eight, Naruto is starting to like the idea of carrying only Sasuke in his arms and dragging the bags behind him as he walked out of the elevator on the twelfth floor; Sasuke, Naruto believes, sees that Naruto is tired and wishes to be set down, but he really wants to look around.
"Ah, Naruto-san!"
Naruto turns to see Sakura smiling at him, her hands folding a file to her chest; "Sakura-chan," Naruto smiles at the young women, causing her to blush the same color as her light pink hair, "how are you?"
Wearing a dark pink blouse with a zipper that runs from the top center of her top that descended down and curled a bit to her side and stopped at the bottom of her shirt, with her signature white circle on the back. Completed with a knee length blue skirt that flowed around her firm legs that led to her two inch black high heels. "I've been well, Naruto-san," Sakura brushed a lock of hair behind her ear, "and you?"
Naruto motioned for her to walk with him to his office, slinging the bags onto his shoulder with his hand holding Sasuke's –forcing him to walk awkwardly. "Sakura-chan," Naruto sent a playful scowl, "what did I say about calling me 'Naruto-san'?" he walked with beside her, trying not to hit her with the multitude of bags.
"Naruto-kun," Sakura gave a soft laugh at Naruto's pout, "we work in the same building, it would be unprofessional if we went by first name-" Naruto waved her off. Shaking her head, she noticed that Naruto was carrying bags that held toys for a young child, opening her mouth to ask about the items, she had a glimpse of a familiar dark head, appearing ahead of Naruto's legs; "Sasuke-chan?"
Naruto turned to her, eyes wide with shock, "You know him?" Naruto stopped, gently pulling Sasuke to the front of him; Sasuke turned along with Naruto's hand, smiling when he saw his Papa before turning to the other person with them.
Sakura nodded, kneeling down in front of the boy, smiling at him; "Hi, Sasuke-chan," she said softly, Sasuke looked at her and squealed when he recognized her, saying her name all chopped up. "How are you, little guy?" Sasuke responded with his baby talk, his face serious before breaking into a smile when he looked at Naruto.
"How do you know him, Sakura-chan?" Naruto motioned for them to continue to his office so he can set the bags down, and so he can question her if need be.
When entering the office, Naruto released Sasuke from his grasp to look around the room, letting in Sakura before entering himself, and closed the door with a soft click. To the right half of the office, Naruto had set up a large flat screen TV with two dark leather couches –one across and the other against the wall –on top of a dark blue carpet with a coffee table made of dark wood set in the center. Next to the seating area was Naruto's dark brown oak desk that settled itself in front of a glass wall that overlooking the downtown area with two equally brown chairs in front of the desk. To the right of the desk and behind the sofa that was directly in front of the TV was a mini bar that held Naruto's lunch and snacks –should he have to go without lunch now and then. Sakura sat down on the couch against the wall, her eyes on Sasuke who looked around the room before heading to the large window. "Sasuke and Sai would be my nephews if we were biologically related," she explained. Naruto watched her and Sasuke, the little one was currently making faces as his face was pressed up against the window, trying to look down. "I was taken in by Itachi's ex-wife's family when I was a child; she's a year or two older than me, she was like a big sister to me," she shrugged.
Naruto nodded, joining her on the couch, glancing over to Sasuke every few seconds, "I see," smiling towards Sasuke who stared in awe at the cars passing by beneath them on the road, "so you know who their mother is then?"
"Yes," Naruto held his breath, waiting for her to continue, "but if Itachi hasn't told you, then I don't want to overstep my boundaries with him." Naruto mentally groaned, "I won't tell you, but I'll give you a hint…" Naruto nodded to Sakura, "you have met her before, Naruto-san," Naruto cocked his head to the side, "she hit on you because you look like her…" Naruto turned to see that Sasuke had moved from the window –already bored of it, no doubt –and made his way to Sakura, demanding to be picked up, settling on her lap. Naruto had a thought at the sight of her holding Sasuke carefully, not wanting him to fall over as he wiggled in her lap, hugging him before tickling him like crazy. At the sight, she looked like a perfect mother, laughing along with the baby in her lap. Sakura returned her gaze to Naruto, seeing the blank face, she believed to have mocked him; "Not that you look like a girl or anything! But just that you look better than her!" Sakura stammered out, turning a dark pink across her face.
Naruto chuckled at her reaction, "It's fine, I'm sure I'll figure out who it is, and if not I'll just ask Itachi." Sakura nodded and got up to leave, shifting Sasuke to sit on the couch instead. remembering that she had yet to pass on a message to Naruto as she moved to the door, she informed him know that the meeting that was scheduled in a few days has been pushed back until next week. "Jiraiya left to do 'research' again?" Naruto moved to his large desk, going through the drawers for the remote to the TV, flipping through the channels.
"Yes," Sakura sighed, rolling her eyes at where he went this month, "well, I'll be in my office, call if you need any help!" Sakura made her way to the door, waving bye to Sasuke who waved back with a wet hand, and closed the door quietly behind her with a click.
After finding a kid channel for Sasuke to watch –making sure that it was educational and age appropriate –he went to bags to sort them out; pulling out the toys for Sasuke to play with and their bentos in the mini fridge behind the bar. With toys spread out on the floor –having moved the coffee table out of the way and under the TV –Sasuke ignored the television, jumping to play with his toys instead. After making sure that Sasuke wasn't paying attention to the TV by flipping the channels a few times, Naruto changed it to the news.
From eight thirty –when Sasuke stopped showing all his new toys to Naruto –until twelve, Naruto had been waist deep in work. Reading requests for new books to be given the go ahead to start publishing or a continuation of a series and having people coming in and out, reasons for the book or books to be published. Sasuke would come to him now and then, asking to go "potty," or for "drink" or for a "'nack" –Naruto had trouble trying to understand what Sasuke was saying, causing Sasuke to started crying, screaming "hungy," before Naruto understood what he was trying saying. Placing the last request packet for a trilogy series, he finally glanced at the clock, overwhelmed with a strong desire to bang his head on the desk. Understanding why his stomach was gurgling. Seeing Sasuke look at him for a moment -looking at where the growl came from -before continuing to play with his toy car; Naruto got up and headed to the bar's mini fridge that held their lunch.
Holding the cold, slim boxes, Naruto motioned for Sasuke to come sit next to him on the couch; opening one that had Sasuke's name. Naruto pointed out his name, helping his sound it out and even though it came out garbled, he still felt proud of Sasuke attempting to say his name. Naruto has only known this baby for nearly two days, causing him to wonder if this is what it felt like to have his own child. The image of a child with dark but spiked up hair and dark blue colored eyes –or maybe have his bright blue eyes –came to mind, the perfect blend of both him and Itachi… Was it foolish to still want that, with the man who left him to marry a woman only to come back to him?
Shaking his head, Naruto gave Sasuke a very small onigiri that fit his tiny, chubby hand, while Naruto opened his own bento. Taking a bite of his rice with his bright orange chopsticks, glancing at Sasuke who was smiling while he ate his little ball of rice. Naruto noticed something shining in his hair; carefully setting down his bento on to the floor to the side of the couch, Naruto pulled Sasuke onto his lap, fingers combing through the soft and fluffy hair, looking for that shining thing. When he found it, he gently pulled at it, causing Sasuke to whine at the tugging. Naruto noticed that it was a blond strand of hair and looked back to Sasuke, seeing a few more, revealing themselves before going back into hiding.
"Papa?" Sasuke looked up at Naruto, confusion in his dark eyes; Naruto took a closer look at Sasuke's eyes when Sai's voice sounded echoed in his head.
'You look like a nice mommy, Naruto-san.'
Sasuke's eyes were dark blue, the way Naruto imagined his child would have if both he and Itachi were the parents.
Remember, Naruto doesn't know who the mother is (yet), in the next chapter he will know who it is and Natsu makes an appearance too!
Again, review/complain on the story/me.
Hopefully, I'll be back quickly next time, sorry if I'm not back in less than a month!
