Cassandra stepped inside her father's office and wanted to leave again, when she saw her brother standing by the reception. She knew it was too late when the receptionist smiled at her and her brother turned around. Bacchus.

„Good morning Miss July. Your father is in his office, but he has an appointment. Do you mind waiting for a few minutes?"

Yes she does. „Not at all, thanks."

„Cassandra." Bacchus nodded at her and that was all.

„Hello."

Cassandra sat down on one of the chairs and did her best to ignore her brother, but since he decided to join her, when he finished talking to the receptionist, she had no choice.

It didn't me she had to stop trying though.

„How have you been?"

„Great thanks. And you?"

„Fine, thank you. What a coincidence that we meet here. I've been wanting to talk to you."

„Really?" He seemed genuine, unlike Cassandra. She didn't want to talk. Nothing good ever comes from their conversations.

„We don't have to talk if you're busy." He was referring to the magazine she was flipping through, to avoid this conversation.

„Okay."

After a few moments, she tried really hard to read the magazine but she didn't care the slightest about any of those articles, her father stepped out of his office and was still talking to a patient. Handing her a note and guiding her to the reception.

Then he saw his children and a big smile appeared on his face.

„Bacchus, Cassandra! The two of you here, what a surprise. Come on let's go to my office."

Cassandra didn't like the idea but had no choice and Bacchus was already following their father. Both of them took a seat and we're now waiting for her, so she joined them.

„Would you like something to drink?"

Cassandra was first to respond. „No thanks, I didn't plan on staying. I was just here to get a note for Rachel." She wanted to get it over with and leave them alone, until she noticed their expressions.

„What happened to Rachel? Did she fall?"

„Practice happened."

„So, where is she now? I'd like to see my patient."

„At home." All present July's saw through her lie, but her father chose to ignore it. Instead he started writing her note.

„How has Rachel been doing? Besides this matter."

Cassandra was surprised that her brother addressed the topic. Or maybe made small talk in general.

„Well, fine. Her parents are in town and she's excited." She knee she shouldn't have said it's because she saw, that her father was raising his eyebrows and Cassandra knew that's he knew why she really wanted to note.

„Oh, I see. Maybe you should show them around town."

„They've been to New York before."

Cassandra hoped this conversation would end soon, her father was done with the note but instead of giving it to her, he put the pen down and just looked at her. She didn't like it.

„Are you done?"

"see, I was wondering-„ Cassandra took the note from his desk and was about to leave, she knew what he was thinking. "I'm sure your mother would like to meet Rachel's parents."

"No, thank you."

"We're having a small get together this week, some friends and family. Maybe you and Rachel would like to join us."

"I'll think about it."

"Thank you. Is there anything else you need?"

"No thanks." Cassandra stood up and so did both July men. They said their goodbyes, quite formal, and Cassandra left.

Rachel searched for Brody at school but couldn't find him before her first class, so she attended it. She'd find him sooner or later, eventually they'd see each other at dance class.

Class went over pretty quickly, during break she kept looking for Brody but couldn't find him. She talked to some students. By the time she had to get to dance class, she'd almost forgotten what she wanted to talk to Brody about, but once she saw him she remembered.

Rachel wasn't late to class but they'd already started and she saw Brody.

"Hi Brody." Rachel greeted him with a smile.

"You're late Rachel. We're doing the tango, you should partner up."

"Brody I wanted to talk to you." He was showing little interest in her, instead he walked around and corrected their positions or commented on their moves. Rachel followed. "Please Brody, it's important to me."

"Can we do this some other time?"

Rachel realized, that Brody had no intention to have this conversation with her, so she decided to join class and try again afterwards.

Brody did well as a teacher, at least he didn't insult anyone. Class went over faster than expected, so Rachel grabbed her stuff and made her way to Brody. Half the class had already left and the others were just grabbing their stuff, so Rachel was certain they'd leave as well.

"Brody, please talk to me." She was standing behind him, because he didn't turn around to look at her.

"You know Rachel, I don't think we have much to talk about." He wasn't calm at all, he tried to, but Rachel felt the resentment.

"I thought you're my friend."

"Things change." He walked away from her, but Rachel wasn't done, she wanted her friend back.

"But why?"

"Maybe, because you're sleeping with her!" She got him to face her, and sell it out loud. Only a few students were left, but they all stopped in their tracks and watched Brody and Rachel. "You made your choice. Enjoy it." With that he left the room and Rachel.

Rachel just stood there, frozen. That's not what she expected. The last few students mumbled a bit, but left eventually. She didn't want to cry, she held it back.

Rachel made her way home, shocked as she was. She took the subway and walked a few blocks before she arrived. It was a rough day. As soon as she stepped inside her apartment she realized her mistake, but was glad. Kurt was home and greeted her. She started crying, Rachel couldn't hold it back anymore.

"What happened?" Kurt just greeted her, but now he quickly came to her side and hugged her.

She was sobbing so he couldn't make out what she was saying, they sat down on the couch and he tried to soothe her. Eventually Rachel was calm enough.

"I was at school today and wanted to talk to Brody. He was at Cassandra's place and now he knows about us." Kurt nodded and kept rubbing her back. "He got really upset and I thought maybe, well I don't know, maybe we could talk about it but we was so angry."

Rachel whipped her tears away and she was almost back to normal, thankfully Kurt had brought her some water. She finished her dtory

"So what I don't understand is, why was Brody at Cassandra's place?"

"He's taking over the class for the week and Cassandra wanted to give him instructions."

"I see." He'd gotten up to put their glasses away.

"I should go to Cassandra's place. Maybe my dad's are waiting for me."

"Greet them."

"I will."

"And Rachel, maybe you should give Brody some time." Kurt gave her a small smile, it didn't encourage her, but she returned it. She fixed herself up a bit before she left.

They hugged an Rachel was out the door. In front of the building she saw Cassandra's car, she wouldn't have noticed but Cassandra got out of the car at the same time as she left the building.

"Oh hi." Rachel was glad to see Cassandra, although she wasn't sure how to tell her about her encounter with Brody. As a greeting she got a kiss from Cassandra. "How's your day?"

"Good." They got in the car and left, and Rachel regretted it a bit. The atmosphere was tense.

"What did you do today?"

"Not much." Rachel didn't want to pry too much so instead of hovering over Cassandra, she looked out of the window. They both sat in quiet and when Henry pulled over, got out of the car.

They kept silent on their way up and Rachel realized her dad weren't there.

"Did they go out?"

"Obviously." Cassandra was snappy and it hurt Rachel. It reminded her of her teacher Miss July instead of her girlfriend Cassandra.

"Are you alright?"

"Yes."

Cassandra went to the kitchen and Rachel just sat down on the couch. She wasn't sure what was going on, but she was too intimidated to ask. Cassandra returned with a glasses and a bottle of wine. She served them both and just laid back on the couch.

For a while they just sat there in silence, Cassandra had gotten a book to read and Rachel felt out of place. She decided to go take a shower.

Rachel tried to relax and not think about today too much. Maybe everyone's just gotten up on the wrong foot. Suddenly she realized something weird about today. Something besides everyone being in a bad mood. Rachel quickly got ready and left the shower. She dried herself and put some comfortable clothes on.

When she stepped into the bathroom, she saw Cassandra reading on the bed, waiting for her.

"How did you know I was at my place?" Cassandra looked up from her book.

"What do you mean?" Rachel dried her hair with a towel while they were talking.

"Well, after school I didn't come here, instead I went to my place. And you picked me up, but how did you know?"

"I was at school and waited for you, but you were too upset to notice me and I was which direction you were headed to."

"Oh." Rachel had no idea that Cassandra saw her. She wasn't sure what to say.

"I know it was because of Brody." Cassandra put her book to the side and got up from bed. Rachel avoided eye contact, today was already intense enough.

Cassandra walked up to Rachel and without noticing, Rachel moved closer to the wall.

"Are you scared?" now Rachel was confused and looked at Cassandra.

"What? No." Cassandra smirked, she took Rachel's hands and raised them above her head and held them against the wall. It had its perks that Rachel was so short. She kissed Rachel and it had the same effect as always, Rachel stopped thinking. After a few seconds she kissed other places, Rachel's cheek and right behind her earlobe and her neck. Then she stopped, let one of Rachel's hands go and made Rachel go with her.

Rachel followed Cassandra upstairs to the studio and all worried were forgotten. She had thought they'd do something else, but when Cassandra turned on the music she got excited. It was the tango again, but Rachel didn't mind. Cassandra led. They didn't warm up or anything, so they breathing heavily sooner than Rachel had anticipated. They've been dance for quite some time now and Rachel was really worked up.

"What happened at school?" It was just a whisper from Cassandra and it kicked Rachel out of her cloud, she almost miss stepped but Cassandra caught it.

"Brody didn't want to talk to me."

"But he must've said something."

"He was still upset." They continued their dance. "Everyone knows." Now it was Cassandra's turn to miss a step, but she corrected it and Rachel barely notice. She was a very gifted dancer. "Not about you, about me."

"I don't understand."

"They know that I'm with a woman." Cassandra stopped dancing, Rachel stepped on Cassandra's foot and almost fell, again, and someone started applauding.

They both looked up and saw Leroy. Cassandra was glad she had turned the music up.

Cassandra expected some provoking remark.

Rachel expected a compliment.

"Wow that was… well I think it was amazing." He continued clapping.

"Where's daddy?"

"He's in the shower and he'll kick his butt for missing this. Maybe you could teach me one or two things." He was talking to Cassandra now. She just raised an eyebrow, she didn't trust him.

"It would be my pleasure." Cassandra walked up to him and Rachel.

"Oh no, not now. I'm sure you guys had plans."

"No.

"Dad come on." Rachel was excited, she was the only one. Cassandra just wanted to get it over with.

After a few word of encouragement Leroy walked up to Cassandra. They did the tango as well, because she was in the mood. Surprisingly he was quite the good dancer, Cassandra didn't have much to correct, but she gave him a few tips.

"Well, thank you. That was exhilarating." He was actually smiling at Cassandra.

"You're quite good, not sure what your husband was talking about when he mentioned your moves."

"Ha! Thanks, please tell him that?" They laughed a bit and headed downstairs.

Cassandra decided to take a shower and went to the bedroom, the Berry's made themselves comfortable on the couch, where Hiram was already waiting.

She dropped her clothes on the bathroom floor and just for a moment enjoyed the hot water just running down her back. Then she started her routine.

She thought about today, it was a weird day and she still needed to talk to Rachel. Later though, not with her parents around. Cassandra was also thinking about the upcoming days. She had to entertain the Berry's somehow if they wouldn't do it by themselves. Rachel didn't have to go to school tomorrow, she'd already dropped her note at school today. So the whole week was free. They had to visit the school, but Cassandra wouldn't have to go with them and the Berry's had this meeting with friends.

Maybe she should get them tickets to Broadway, that would keep them busy for one night. Most importantly though, she had to keep the Berry's away from her family. She didn't want things to get even more complicated as they are now.

Cassandra was done and out on some black leggings and a tight t-shirt in red. She went tour of the bedroom to see the Berry's placing charades and if she could have, she would have turned around in her heel and straight back to the bedroom, but if course there was no chance for that.

"Cassandra! Come sit with me, those two are always hanging up. Hiram had a big smile on his face, just like his daughter, when they saw her. It was Leroy's turn, so he didn't give her too much attention.

"Maybe I should prepare dinner." Why'd she offer that? She couldn't cook nor did she have anything to cook with.

"No, no, no, no. Come here, sit with me. We can order something right?" He tapped the spot next to him for her to sit. So she did as she was told, although she didn't like it and joined them. They finished the round and decided what to eat for dinner. Cassandra had hoped they're done but she was far from correct. They continued until dinner arrived and even afterwards. She never knew why people liked this game.

Eventually though she excused herself and said she'd go to bed. They all seemed somewhat tired and so everyone said there good nights and Rachel followed Cassandra to the bedroom.

That's what she had been waiting for the whole day, since she saw Rachel leaving school crying.

"Let's talk."
