Once Magnus and Will made it back to the Sanctuary, Magnus called in Kate and Henry so that the group could discuss what had happened at the circus. More than an hour had gone by and they were still going back and forth over what the young girl could be without much success.

"...I'm telling you, Doc, maybe she's one that is so rare that she's a myth."

"Most Abnormals are myths, Henry. It's just a matter of finding the right myth to fit the girl."

"Yeah, true, but you said yourself that you've never seen anything like her before," Kate pointed out as she sat down in the nearest chair. "That makes it harder, not easier."

"I know. It's frustrating and fascinating at the same time," Magnus agreed and then frowned at the screen before her.

Will stood and stretched. "Okay, well, let's start with what we do know. One, her singing is not only hypnotic, but has the ability to compel a person's "soul" from the body. Two, she's able to feed on the soul or energy from a person. Three, her hair and eyes are multicolored. All natural. No dye job on the hair or contacts in her eyes."

"You always catch things the rest of us miss. I had forgotten about her eyes and hair. Henry, input those factors into the search parameters as well, please."

"Will do, Doc." Henry's fingers flew over the keyboard as he hummed to himself. "Done. The search has renewed."

"Thank you." Magnus turned to Will. "She's rather young. Late teens, possibly early twenties. It's kind of hard to tell. She's rather fragile and, judging by that man's unrestrained use of violence toward her, I say she might possibly be malnourished as well."

"I agree. Her arms and legs, as well as the gaunt look to her face, support that assumption. Obviously that man has some claim over her. When she's near him, you can feel her fear. It's a palpable thing. I despise men like him."

"He's a hitter? Remind me to give him some of his own medicine when we next go against him," Kate growled and popped her knuckles, her eyes alight with the violence she wanted to use against the unknown Abnormal's captor.

"Easy, Kate. The goal is to rescue the girl, not cause more problems. Also, the man who hurt her is named "Haddock". I find it interesting that the older man called him "Lord." Is there some type of royal system within the circus? It might explain why the girl has gotten no help."

"I heard him say it, too. There was respect mixed with fear in his voice. My guess is that Haddock is the owner and everyone has to bow to his whims, whether they are helpful or harmful." Will stopped speaking for a moment as he thought back to the whole confrontation. He felt as if he and Magnus had missed something but he wasn't sure what it was.

"We'll be at this all night. I say call it a day, let the computer do its thing and we pick this back up in the morning," suggested Henry who stood, stretched and came around the desk to give everyone a pointed look.

Magnus laughed. "I guess you're right, Henry. A break would give us all perspective."

"Agreed. How about some pizza?" Kate jumped up, smiling as she pulled out her cell.

"Sounds good to me."

"Me, too."

"Then pizza it is."

Laughing and grinning, they left to eat, while in the back of their minds still puzzling over the mysterious circus girl and what she might be.
