Chapter 24 is now up! Enjoy! :D

I've been scarred for life...

Sebastian disappeared in a second after what he did and I was left on the bed, shocked and practically paralyzed.

-A few hours later...-

"Hey Akari. What's up?" Sakura asked as she walked into my room.

"I've been sleeping on Pluto for more than five hours. Why didn't you wake- Akari?" She noticed I was staring at the floor and wasn't moving.

"Akari, are you okay?" she asked, cautiously walking over to me.

"S-Sebastian..." I muttered. Sakura stared at me, confused. She then started shaking me violently and I then pushed her away.

"Finally! Akari, what the heck is wrong with you? Did Sebastian do something to you?" she asked. I blushed and turned away.

"N-no, I was just thinking." I responded with a scoff.

"Sure... Anyways, I wanted to tell you that I am coming with you to Alois' house, okay?" she said.

"Why?"

"Because, what if he pulls something on you. What if you're in danger. His house is full of four other demons and Claude, too." she said.

"Uh, okay. Do whatever you want." I shrugged my shoulders. Sakura sighed.

The next morning I woke up to Ciel licking my face. I-I mean Pluto…

"...Ugh, Ciel-Pluto!" I exclaimed, falling off my bed. I sighed.

"Hey, are you ready?" asked Sakura. I gasped, surprised to see her on my bed.

"Yeah. Just let me get ready." I said.

A few minutes later I finished and we went downstairs.

"Ugh, the web-slinger is here." sighed Sakura, in utter disgust and disappointment. We walked over to Claude who was standing in the living room, waiting.

"Hey, Claude, I hope Alois doesn't mind, but Sakura will be coming with me." I said to him.

"I'm sure he won't mind. Please, the car is awaiting." he said. He motioned for us to go out first.

The three of us went out and going into the car, heading to Alois' house.

"Wow…" Sakura sounded amused by Alois' house. No. Mansion. "Freakin' little brat...creep… Sakura then mumbled.

Claude led us into the living room where Alois was waiting.

"Hello Akari. It's a pleasure to see you again." he said and quietly added to himself, "A real pleasure." as he held my hand and gave it a small peck.

"Okay…" I sighed, slowly pulling my hand back.

"Sit down." he said with a smile and he glared at Sakura. We both sat down on the couch- I sat between Alois and Sakura. Sakura's cellphone suddenly rings, blurting out one of her new song, "Like a Demon's Heart"...Such a soul-touching song…

"Hello?" she says and excuses herself, leaving the living room.

"Akari, why don't we go out into the backyard?" Alois asked.

"Um, okay." I said.

We sat down on two chairs that had been put under the shade of a tree and a table was set out in front of us with two cups of coffee.

"So...Alois...Uh…" I sighed and went on. "I've been hearing of some weird occurrences and incidents that have been going on around here and I was wondering, since you seem to be an investigative-type of person, if you knew anything about it?" I questioned.

"Incidents? Like what?" he asked.

"Well...Some people have been attacked, mostly at night, from these "things". They don't know what exactly attacked them. It's just weird that something like this could be happening here, in a nice, calm place. Nothing like this has ever happened." I said and felt the need to add more but hesitated.

"What?!" Sakura's voice rings throughout the backyard and we see her walking towards us. She smiled at us.

"Uh, sorry about that." She apologized, sitting down on the grass next to me. Sakura pulled my arm and made me bend down to her.

"My uncle, Grell, is coming to visit me and Tamaki. Let's just say he's kind of...crazy, weird, and just...Just be careful around him." she whispered into my ear. I sat back up, confused.

"So, what are you guys talking about?" asked Sakura.

"We were talking about those attacks that have been happening around here." I responded.

"Oh."

"Ok, Alois, the think I need to know is if you know anything about...demons…" I said quietly.

Alois was shocked at first but became serious again.

"Demons? Well, why do you think demons might be attacking people here?" he asked.

He does know…

"You know what, nevermind. Demons. That's a little off the top. But, well, you never know." I said, laughing a little and stood up. I looked at my watch.

"Sorry, Alois, but we have to go now. We have some business to take care of." I then said.

Sakura stood up and we quickly left.

"Is that the top secret information you were trying to find out?" Sakura asked, sounding disappointed.

"No. That was barely some of it." I responded, touching the roses that formed along the wall of the house. They quickly dried out and wilted as my hand passed through each of them.

"Whoa, are you mad or something?" Sakura then gasped, seeing me do the same to other flowers along the house.

"No." I said plainly. We walked to the front of the house where Claude was waiting for us. We got into the car and drove off.

-A few minutes later-

I start feeling dizzy and I clench onto the seat and put my head against the window.

"Akari, are you alright?" asked Sakura. Her words seemed blurred but I still understood what she said.

"Yeah. I'm fine." I mumble. It starts getting harder to breath and I tried taking in deep breaths, quickly, and quicker… I was gasping for air now. Claude suddenly steps on the brake as he made a quickly turn, making me hit my head on the window. Everything suddenly goes dark.

I started hearing many voices. They seemed to be chanting…

"Potentia ad omnes. Quod ex quibus regnavit super nos. Potentia ad omnes." They kept chanting.

I slowly started opening my eyes. They felt so heavy, just like the rest of my body.

"Akari! Akari! Akari!" I heard a voice call out. I groaned.

"What happened?" I mumbled. I finally managed to fully open my eyes and saw Sakura sitting next to me. I looked around, confused.

"What happened?" I mumbled again.

"Um, well, do you remember when Claude was taking us back home? ...Well, we don't know why but you just suddenly fainted. You were unconscious for quite a while. Are you feeling alright, though?" she said.

"Oh, yeah, I'm fine." I mumbled.

"Ok, I can barely understand what you're saying, but I think you said fine."

I was back in my room but something seemed weird. A mysterious aura was all around the room and in a way I felt disgusted by it. What could it be? I thought, looking around my room again. The door suddenly opens and Sebastian M. comes in with medicaments and many bandages.

"Are you wounds better? Are they healing?" he asked, walking over to the bed.

"Wounds?" I asked, surprised. I tried to sit up, but I was quickly pulled back down from the sharp pain that spread throughout my whole body.

"Don't move." Sakura said, cautiously. Sebastian then removed the blanket that was covering me (finally some action *smirk*) and started putting some bandages on my arms. He then wiped my face with a wet cloth. I could see the red stains on the cloth as he removed it. I looked over to Sakura, but she looked away.

"Remember what I said?"

Akari looked up at him and smiled.

"No one will ever get in our way. They're only obstacles that we overcome. We face consequences together. We defeat them together. But eventually…" He sighed.

"We fall together." We both finished in unison. ~and that's how our story began.~
