Enjoy Chapter 27!

I finally stopped. I stood in the shades of trees that ran through for miles on the open field.

No houses, no people, nothing. Just pure nature in the middle of nowhere.

It must be underground… I thought as I started looking through the tall, dried grass.

"Ow…" I kept grunting as I kept bending down to my knees to search the ground. Pain shot straight up through my body as I stood up and I almost fell to the ground. I grunted as I dragged myself down the field.

My blood on my clothes were still a bit sticky but a lot of it had dried up since the three days that have passed. From my home I had traveled to a cruise ship place where I got on a ship that was traveling to the U.S. I lasted three days hidden on that ship, trying to cure my wounds in which I found out there was a huge Japanese death symbol on my chest. I had managed to get on a trading ship that was going exactly where I needed to be at, Portland, Oregon.

Just as I took another step forward I felt a harder surface. I slowly kneeled down and pushed the grass away from the area. A metal door was right underneath me. I grabbed the handle and pulled it up with all the strength I had left. I barely lifted it a centimeter, though. I tried again and put my foot out in front of me from the strain and finally opened enough for me to fit through. I quickly got in and slowly pulled the door down. The place barely seemed to be no less than about ten feet down. This seemed like both a laboratory and some high-tech computer lab. Oddly enough though, there was no one here. It was completely empty, and completely silent.

I crept down some halls until I suddenly stop at a door from which I hear many voices talking at once. I didn't even feel like peeking in so I quickly walked down even more hallways, making it seem like this place went on for eternity.

I stop as I see a room with prison-like cells and cages. I open the door, which was surprisingly unlocked and I walk in.

I look around and see people, humans...and demons locked in the cells and cages. They all seem to be asleep, though, so I quietly go further into the room. I notice many glass tubes full of serums, making me not want to even think what they do down here. At the very end of the room there's another door that leads yet into another room. The door was open but no one seemed to be inside so I walk in. There's three large capsules in the middle of the room. Each one holds three humans. My eyes stare at the one in the middle, the one containing my father.

As I lifted my hand up to the glass container, I suddenly feel something shoot through me from behind me and I immediately fall to the floor and black out.

Does anyone still even read this story? :P
