Her Past
Chapter Ten
What to Do
Everyone met up at Lord Death's mansion. They sat around the living room and waited for someone to speak up first. It was almost like at Maka and Soul's apartment. No one knew where to start.
"Maka!" Spirit cried breaking the silence. "How could anyone do this to my little girl?"
"Now now, Death Scythe, we'll find her," Lord Death comforted.
"Where are we going to start?" Liz asked.
"Well the only reasonable thing right now would be to scout the area that Maka was at originally," Stein suggested. "Do you know where it was Soul?"
"Yeah, but that area is huge and that was eight years ago."
"Do you have any better ideas?"
Soul looked to the side. "No," he muttered.
"Didn't think so."
"Do we know anything more about this man before we go after him?" Kid asked looking at his father.
"Well, we know that he is a weapon," the Shinigami started.
"A weapon, really?" Kid asked.
"Yes. He was actually a student at the academy for a few days. His violent tendencies didn't fit in with our criteria. I could tell that he didn't have the intent to actually stop the souls from turning into Kishens. He was only wanting to know how to get stronger. To gain control over people."
"What weapon is he?" Liz asked.
"He's a bow. He relies on his meister to use their soul wavelength to create an arrow. A lot like Azusa's. Unlike Azusa, it takes a bit more energy to create his arrows."
"I see," Stein started. "I bet he's going to try to make Maka his meister. He knows he mother is a strong enough meister to create a death scythe, so he's going on that knowledge figuring Maka will be just as strong."
"Maka is strong," Tsubaki commented.
"That she is," Stein said with a nod, "but she's never been trained to focus her soul wavelength outside of her or Soul's body."
"It's not that hard," Black Star piped in.
"For you, no. You don't need a weapon to use yours. You, like myself, can attack with your soul wavelength directly."
"But she's got him as a weapon, it shouldn't be that hard," Kid said.
"That's correct," Lord Death answered his son, "but you have to remember, these two most likely don't have compatible wavelengths. So, on top of him forcing her to use a skill she's never used, she's doing it with a weapon her body and soul are fighting with."
"So, what are we going to do? My little girl is suffering!" Spirit wailed.
"I'll take you to her."
Wow. I am so sorry that it's been forever since I've updated. I've had a lot happen. I've moved, got a new job and got behind on all my bills, so I've been kind of stressed out and just not in the state of mind to write. But I'm back now. So, I hope people come back.
