Her Past

Chapter Twelve

"Me and my big mouth," Maka said to herself. "I'm going to get myself killed one of these days because of it."

Her whole body ached and she was exhausted. She wished she could go to sleep. That didn't seem likely though. This chair was hard and had a short back. If she fell asleep she would definitely wake up with a messed up neck. She needed to sleep, though. Before she was dragged back into this lonely room, she noticed that night had come. That means that she has been with this crazy man a full day. Honestly, she thought she shouldn't be tired. Soul said it was three o'clock when she fell asleep and it was early morning when those mean showed up. Therefore, she got a crap load of sleep.

"I thought this was where the fish guy was," came a voice nearby.

"What?" Maka whispered.

"Hmm, I must have a terrible sense of direction. Oh well, time to look somewhere else," the voice continued.

"Blair? Blair!" Maka yelled.

"Maka?"

"BLAIR!"

"Where are you, Maka?"

"I'm in a room. A really dark room. Where are you?"

"I'm outside," the cat girl answered. "I don't see anything that leads to a room. What are you doing in a hidden room anyways? Shouldn't you be home?"

The blonde rolled her eyes. She has to be the most clueless person Maka has ever met. Hell, she pretty much lived with Soul and her most of the time. How did she not know what happened. Blair was right about one thing, though. Maka didn't see anything that could lead to the outside, either. There would be more light in here if there was. How can she hear Blair so well then? "Blair, go get Soul! Bring him here and get him to help find a way in."

"Ok, Maka."

Please, Blair. Please don't get distracted. I don't want to be here another day. You're my only hope, Maka thought.

Suddenly, Maka regretted never telling anyone about her experiences with this man. Yes, she finally broke down and told Soul some things, and because of him she had to go tell her Papa. Still, she didn't tell him everything. She told him the general area they were at, but she didn't tell him which building. She didn't tell him how long she was there. She hasn't told Soul a lot of things. Like how much she needs him.

The girl felt her cheeks warm up from the blush triggered by that thought. It was true, though. Soul has become the one person that Maka knows she could truly rely on. Deep down, she knew that it was more than that, too. She realized it when she woke up this morning on his lap….

Maka gave her head a hard shake. How can she be thinking stuff like that when she's tied to a chair in a dark room with a serial killer next door? Pull yourself together, girl, she thought. Aghhh, come on Blair.

Sorry, it's really short. I tried to make it longer, but it just didn't work. :( I'll do better later I promise
