Since this story has been so on off for well over a year, I have decided to post a summary. This is for readers to refresh themselves and for new readers to catch up easily if they don't have the time to go and read the entire series but want to enjoy the new chapters.
The story takes place in Sinnoh. Humans have created a device called the pokemon skeleton and have battles with them called Skeleton Clashes. A human wears this device and it allows them to use pokemon moves with their own bodies. The device also has a defense where the human doesn't get injured until the device is low on power. It powers back up with a break of not using pokemon moves for a few hours. Also pokemon can talk.
It begins with a boy named Zan who has a pokemon skeleton and was just training for 6 months at the Iron Islands with his sister. He shows up in Canalave where he learns about pokemon battles, a lost tradition that only happens at nights in abandon lots. Fans of pokemon battles get together and fight, usually just getting one battle per night. Each city has its own underground pokemon battling scene, it is just not very popular. At Canalave Zan meets a girl named Lady Moore, who is trying to battle the
Skeleton Clash Master of Canalave. The Masters function like gym leaders. The master, named Clive Bartrin, refuses to battle Lady because she is a girl. Zan asks for a battle and he refuses as well, because Zan looks week. He ends up having his son fight Zan to get the boy to shut up. The son is named Wes Bartrin, and Zan defeats Wes though only because Wes gave him one free punch. Zan finds the cities underground pokemon battling where his Pignite loses against a Seviper. Zan ends up leaving the city with both Lady and Wes. Wes wants to get away from his father's shadow and Lady just thinks that Zan will lead her to tough opponents to fight.
Zan's goal is Sunnyshore to meet his mother who lives there. The groups travel takes them to Jubilife where the population is depressed. A group called Gaigax has buildings all over, which are power plants as they are the cities power supplier. But ever since they came in, all the pokemon have disappeared. But Jubilife needs its power, so they need Gaigax to stay, as no other company can compete. There is no underground pokemon scene here. Gaigax has some property that gets damaged the first night that the group is there. They suspect Lady and try to arrest her but she gets away. They position their best guards on the cities exits so she is trapped. Meanwhile Zan goes and fights the Skeleton Clash Master Sky. In a tough battle Zan reveals to have programmed his Skeleton with a special ability. His skeleton has increased strength and speed but this ability was so tough to create that the mechanism that gives the boost is really frail. Thus one attack ends this ability and Zan gets regular speed and strength until he can fix his skeleton again. He calls this momentum. Zan finds out about the city through Sky and vows to bring Gaigax to its knees. He forces his way to a meeting with the head of the company, Charles Gaigax. This meeting goes nowhere though. The terrorist act again Gaigax keeps up and the one responsible is calling themselves Grave.
