This thing has two ending for those of you who don't like the first.
And its pretty damn short because, you know what? i cant write! surprise surprise!
either way, enjoy.
He saw him in the park. He was a stranger sitting alone on the swing. His blue eyes in contrast to his pale skin and deep colored hair caught his gaze. The first time he saw him he didn't talk to him. He never got the chance.
The second time was different. He happened to see him in the local market. He still didn't talk to him. He was with a woman. He didn't think it appropriate to talk to him.
The third time he was with the same woman again, but another man included. She and the other man were holding hands and walking close. They were walking down the street. He held himself from stopping his car as he passed the stranger that he watched so studiously.
He again found himself in the park, watching the lone stranger with the saddened blue eyes. This time he hadn't held back and gravitated towards the man on the swing. The man glanced up as the stranger sat on a nearby swing watching him. There was only silence.
It was beginning to becoming a habit. The same day the next week both strangers found themselves sitting in the swings of the park, sitting silently. Only the occasional eye contact.
This continued for a few weeks until the blue eyed man spoke. He spoke his name and nothing more. The other one responded likewise, and the silence continued.
About two months later the man didn't show. He was reading the weekly newspaper looking for the funnies and happened to glance at the obituary. There he was. He died the day they were to meet. He was walking when a truck hit him. He missed his chance to know him. He thought for a moment that maybe it was best he hadn't gotten too attached, but then changed his mind. He already had.
And for the happier not dying ending. Enjoy.

One time he met him on the way to the park. That's where they spoke more than just a few words. They talked. They became close.
The woman from before was his sister. The man was her fiancé, and the man he loved and would never get.
Slowly they dated. It was a slow process, for the blue eyed man wanted to forget his past love.
When he did, it went fast from there. They were happy.
