I was starting to get worried when Harry did not return to the hospital wing after the lunch hour had passed. I was also wishing I had a book to read because it is boring to sit in the hosptal wing with nothing to do. My potions made me tired , so I took a nap while I waited for Harry to return. About two hours later, Harry woke me up by placing a stack of books on the hospital bed beside me.

"How did you know that I wanted books? Wait, first, where did these books come from and what are we doing with them?"

"Well" Harry replied, looking proud of himself "I decided that maybe we could do some research if you felt up to it. Maybe we could do some reading on wards and magic binds while we are waiting to hear back from Bill. While I was at lunch, I started thinking about what you said and decided that I wanted to know more about both. I didn't know where to begin looking in the library for books on these subjects. So, I found your Arithmancy and Ancient Runes teachers and told them that you were in the hospital wing and that you had sent me on an errand since you were not allowed to leave. I told them that you were going to be in here until we leave tomorrow, and that you were wanting to study ahead in your classes. They were not surprised by this, and said that you normally come to them at the end of the year with a similar request. They both had actually wrote down on these sheets of paper here their recommended subjects to study and the books to reference. Luckily, wards are listed as one of the subjects. Your teacher said that you appeared interested in them when they were brought up in class and thought that you might enjoy reading about them. I went to the library and found the books your teacher suggested, and also asked Madam Pince if she had any additional ideas of books for you to read about wards. After she gave me her recommended books, I looked to see if I could find anything on magic binds. I could only find this one book, and did not dare ask about any others. I thought maybe we could inquire at Flourish and Blotts about any books they might suggest."

I was shocked to hear that Harry went to my teachers to get my summer homework and studying material, and was amazed that he thought to go to the library to get books so we could research. We decided we would do our studying at home over the summer so that none of the professors would get suspicious about us studying after term ended. We spent the afternoon talking and just spending time together. We talked about everything under the sun: likes and dislikes, our families, our hopes and wants and dreams for the future. We laughed and we cried. Madam Pomphrey knew better than to ask Harry to leave, but just came out and checked on me once an hour.

Finally, before dinner, Madam Pomphrey shooed Harry out of the hospital wing again to check me over again. Madam Pomphrey told me she had been doing research with the assistance of Professor Snape to determine the effects of the spell. She knew that the spell was a dark spell, but was unsure of its exact effects. According to their research, the spell slowly disintegrates the internal organs causing massive internal bleeding and eventual death. The only thing that saved my life was Harry getting me to the hospital wing as quickly as he did. This is because upon our arrival back at the hospital wing I came under the care of both Madam Pomphrey and Professor Snape, and their combined efforts slowed the effects of the spell until they finished their research as to the effects of the spell.

After giving me a full physical, she declared me as healthy as could be expected, considering the trauma my body had undergone from the spell. She told me that my lungs and heart were in the process of healing but would require another month to get back to full health. This was because I could not take any potions, because they are such sensitive organs and magic could interfere with them causing heart failure. Madam Pomphrey said that in addition to my heart and lungs being damaged, there were other multiple organs that were injured as a result of the spell. She said that my spleen, liver, kidneys and ovaries were more damaged from the spell than they initially thought and I would need to take potions for another month instead of a week like initially planned. I would be released from the hospital wing, and would be allowed to return home at the end of term, but would have some physical restrictions and would need to take potions as required several times a day. I was given five potions that had to be taken with my breakfast, lunch and dinner and another two potions that had to be taken only at bedtime. Madam Pomphrey told me that until school resumed in September I was to take it easy and not engage in any strenuous exercise. This is because they were afraid that my heart would not be healed enough and putting too much stress on it could reverse the healing process or cause my heart to quit. She also warned me not to be lifting over 10 pounds at any time because it could cause damage to my internal organs.

I agreed to these specifications with no problem, so Madam Pomphrey released me from the hospital wing so that I would have time to pack tonight and be ready to leave on the train in the morning. Of course, Harry was waiting me for me outside the hospital wing. As we started walking back towards the Great Hall for dinner, I reassured Harry that I felt fine, besides being sore, and was healthy enough to be let out of the hospital wing.

Harry took the stack of books we had gathered and placed them in his backpack that he had carried them to the library in. We took our time walking to Gryffindor Tower to drop off our books, because we knew that the majority of the school was already eating dinner and we wanting as much time to ourselves as possible. We knew that once showed up to dinner, we would need to act like nothing was different with us. We had already agreed that we would keep our relationship private in order to allow us to become closer and also to keep Voldemort from finding out, but that did not mean that we had to like doing so. We both enjoyed becoming closer and being able to talk about whatever we wanted without worrying about what people thought, and knew that we would not be able to continue until we were both at my home for the summer.

After Harry dropped the books off in his room, we walked back downstairs to dinner. We took our time walking, trying to prolong our time together uninterrupted. We did not see or hear anyone until we got to the Great Hall. As we entered, some of our friends saw us and came running up to us to see how I was feeling. I found it strange that Harry was my only visitor while I was in the hospital wing, but now that I was out everyone wanted to know how I was feeling. I wasn't surprised though because that is how all my hospital stays had been.

Harry stayed by my side the entire time we were at dinner, talking to our friends but keeping an eye on me. Professor Dumbledore awarded the house cup to Gryffindor and gave his end of year speech. After he finished talking, everyone got up and started walking back to their dorms. I heard some of our housemates talking about how they still had to finish packing, and hoped they could find all their belongings. I leaned over and asked Harry, "Have you finished packing yet or do you still need to pack?"

Harry looked kind of sheepish as he answered, "Well, I have packed most of my stuff, I just have to add a few things into my trunk and I will be ready. In the morning, I will place Hedwig in her cage for the trip home. You still need to pack, don't you?"

I was shocked. Harry was nowhere near bad as some that did not start packing til an hour before the train left, but he normally left his packing to the last minute. I guess I already am rubbing off on him if he packed his belongings early. Harry was right though, I still had to do all my packing since I had been in the hospital wing the past three days. I hated that I had to be completely packed by the next morning, I do not like being rushed because I am likely to forget things. I would also, unfortunately, have to have one of the girls help me pack my books since I am not allowed to pick up or carry more than ten pounds at a time. "Of course, Harry, I still have to pack. I have been in the hospital since we returned from our trip to the ministry, so I have not had the time or ability to pack."

By this point, we had arrived back at the tower. We said our goodnights as I took off upstairs to pack my trunk. I ran into Ginny on our way upstairs and asked her if she didn't mind helping me pack. We spent the next hour and a half talking and packing. Finally, after my trunk was completely packed, I took my potions for the night and went to bed.
