Chapter 7: The First Jump

I woke up and looked around my room. My room was a T shape with a dresser and window on the tail of the "T", another dresser on the corner between the point in front of me and the point to the left. My bed was against the wall of the top of the "T" facing the tail while to my right was my door to the outside of my room. Scattered throughout the room is basic a bunch of clutter from sleeping bags to cloths and video games. Also on one of my dressers was a computer and on the other dresser I had a TV with an alarm clock next to it.

I looked around my room once more to make sure that I was actually where I was supposed to be.

"That was one heck of a dream." I said as I got out of bed and changed cloths.

I changed into a black shirt with wolves on the front of it and blue jeans due to the cold weather. I walked downstairs and grabbed myself a bowl of cereal and some chocolate milk. As I sat down at the table to eat I saw a note on the table that said:

"David,

We have to go out of town for a while because we suddenly got contacted by a client that someone was illegally building on their property. We will hopefully be back in a week. There should be enough food in the fridge to hold you over until we get back. Remember if you need any help with anything you can go across the street or call your grandmother.

Love you,

Mom and Dad"

I sighed at seeing this because my parents are lawyers and every so often they had to go on some random job for their clients. The jobs take a week to 6 months, and the one time it took 6 months I thought that my parents had abandoned me and I even went to the police about it. That was quite the misunderstanding because they were at the station getting one of their clients out of jail after he was wrongly accused.

I finished eating my breakfast and washed the bowl and cup in the sink. I looked at the clock and saw that it was 10 in the morning and it was Saturday morning. When my parents were home I usually went back upstairs and watched television this early in the morning, but I decided to go play on the computer.

I went into our computer room which consisted of my dad's laptop, my mom's Macintosh, and my desktop. I logged onto my computer and opened up my Minecraft launcher and punched in my username and password. After a few seconds the main screen came up, but there was something strange with it. The screen seemed much closer than normal and I decided to zoom the screen out so that it would go back to normal, but no matter how many times I pressed the zoom button it didn't work.

I decided to ignore this and pressed the single player button. As I went to the world screen it seemed to get even closer. I clicked on create new world and typed in the name "My First". I was confused that I made it the name of the world even though I had made many other words beforehand. I disregarded this and clicked on the more world options and made my specifications of Survival mode and cheats on. I also put the bonus chest on so that I wouldn't have to worry about getting as much beginning supplies. Suddenly I started feeling strange like I was a magnet being attracted to the computer screen for some reason. After I picked all the specifics I wanted I put in the world seed that I had been using a lot: "Magic Hearth".

I pressed the back button where I could either create the world or cancel it, and I suddenly felt myself start to lose grip on reality. I slowly moved my cursor to the "Create World" button and my sense of reality continued to slip away. The cursor was right over the button and it felt like I wasn't even there in front of my computer, but instead someplace else. I created the world and my computer screen went blue.

"Are you serious?!" I screamed at it, and then my vision went blue along with it.
