-Lion vs. Tiger-

Ganondorf roamed through the jungle, stalking an Okapi. He had been at it for almost an hour now, and was finally ready to pounce on her and claim his prize. He smiled cruelly, preparing to pounce. And that's when he heard a fierce roar from the jungle, and before he could react, Link jumped in between Ganondorf and the okapi, scaring the latter off. Ganondorf's smile faded as he stood up, furious at the lion as he snapped, "And just what do you think you're doing young one?"

"I'm protecting this jungle," Link said defiantly, pulling out his sword. Ganondorf chuckled and said, "Didn't learn your lesson the first time eh?"

"Oh, I did," Link said, "And now I won't make the same mistake."

"Very well," Ganondorf said, amused, "If you wish to meet your end at my hand, so be it."

He pulled his massive sword from his sheath, pointing it at the opponent. Swiftly, he brought it up and slammed it down towards Link, who managed to dodge by jumping to the side as the blade crashed hard into the ground. Link took a stab at Ganondorf, who raised his sword to block it. The two then exchanged a series of fierce, fast blows. Ganondorf could tell Link had gotten faster over the years, but remained confident he could win. After Link blocked one of his blows, Ganondorf kicked the lion hard in the chest, sending him back against a tree. Wasting no time, he rushed forward, swinging his sword down at the stunned lion. Link managed to block it, but Ganondorf continued to press down, forcing Link's blade closer to his chest. Link resisted strongly, but it was too clear that in a moment, Ganondorf would triumph in the struggle. Ganondorf saw this too and mocked, "You fool. What made you think you could defeat me now?"

Link struggled to reply amidst the contest, but managed to say, "Because, this time, I'm not alone!"

On cue, a lioness pounced from the trees, striking at Ganondorf, who barely was able to block it and was sent stumbling back from being off balance. He looked up and saw Zelda standing there, next to Link. The two stared intensely at Ganondorf, who stood up straight, readying himself for them. Link stepped forward and said, "This is how you were beaten last time, wasn't it? Because my father wasn't alone."

Ganondorf snarled and lunged at Link, who blocked the swing he made as Zelda swung at the tiger's side. Ganondorf managed to block this, but also had to block the swing Link made at his neck. The two lions continued to swing at Ganondorf, who managed to block their blows, but each time was forced backwards as he struggled to keep up. His expression turned to panic as he began to realize he had finally met his match. He was finally forced up against a tree. Stunned by the surprise of hitting it accidently, he was distracted enough for Zelda to swing at his thigh, cutting it. He roared loudly and swung hard at the two, knocking them down with instinctive strength. They looked up and saw Ganondorf retreat into the jungle. They jumped up and pursued him.

Despite his wounded leg, Ganondorf's adrenaline and natural speed over lions managed to carry him quickly away from his pursuers. After some time, he reached the foot of a hill that led up to the top of a waterfall. He rushed up as the lions continued to pursue. He hid behind a rock, readying his sword. He wiped the sweat as he prepared for them to come to him.

When Zelda and Link ran to the rock, Ganondorf lunged forward, knocking Zelda down and sending her rolling down the hill. He turned towards Link as he swung at the tiger, who managed to block it as the two swung several blows at each other. Ganondorf's wound was starting to wear him down as Link was gaining the upper hand. As Ganondorf realized he was going to lose, Link disarmed Ganondorf, sending the massive sword falling to the ground as the lion pointed his own sword at the tiger's chest. He looked shocked at the opponent as it sunk in he was bested. Link turned around and saw Zelda coming up the hill. Ganondorf took advantage of this momentary distraction to knock Link's blade aside and lunged at him, sending them flying towards the edge of the cliff, rolling off. Zelda panicked and rushed forward and saw the two hanging onto the stone as the hung over a steep drop downwards towards the jungle. Zelda dropped to her knees, reaching for Link's hand. The two hands gripped each other as the lioness began to pull him upwards. Ganondorf reached for Link's foot, grabbing hold and stopping him. Link kicked hard backwards, getting free of the tiger's grip and sending him down a bit before he managed to grab onto rock again. Zelda pulled Link up and they looked down at Ganondorf, dangling as he was starting to slip. He looked up at those who had defeated him as he asked, "How…?"

"You may be more powerful than any one lion, but lions fight together; you stand alone. And that is your downfall," Link said. Ganondorf's grip slipped and he fell backwards towards the jungle. As he fell through the trees, the tiger managed to grab onto a vine, which held for a second before breaking under his weight, sending him falling hard onto the ground. The tiger groaned as he struggled to stand up. Despite the vine breaking his fall, he was badly bruised and he wounded leg was even worse now. He looked up and saw he was surrounded by about 30 or so of his minions. He smiled a bit and said, "Ah, my friends. I need your help."

"Friends?" One of them demanded, pulling out his sword, "I don't think so, Ganondorf."

The tiger's eyes widened as he saw all of them pull out their swords and inch towards him. Panicking, Ganondorf picked up a branch, swinging furiously at them to keep them at bay. But then they all pounced on top of him, and avenged their years of forced servitude.
