During the second intermission, many were excited for what would happen next, and were anxious to see the brother vs. brother battle between Roy and Link, as well as Link confronting Scar himself. As Mr. Game and Watch exited the bathroom, he distinctly overheard someone ask, "What do you think makes someone like Scar the way he is?"

He smiled to himself and thought, "Don't worry, you'll find out soon enough."

Afterwards, he returned to the control booth as they prepared to continue the play. Once everyone was seated, the red curtain was raised, and the third and final act began.

-Act III Prologue: Where's Link?-

It was a misty morning in the jungle, and Toad and Yoshi lay on the jungle floor, sleeping soundly. Marth found the pair and smiled, "Finally."

He approached the two and gently nudged Toad to wake him up. The meerkat stirred, rubbing his eyes as he woke up. He looked confused up at Marth and asked, "Something wrong?"

"It's Link," Marth said, "You two need to know something."

Toad's eyes widened as he asked frantically, "Link?! What, is he in trouble?"

"Trouble?" Yoshi asked concerned, waking up, "Who's in trouble?"

"Link!" Toad exclaimed before Marth corrected, "No, he's not!"

"Then who's in trouble?" Yoshi asked.

"No one!" Marth exclaimed impatiently, "The other night, a monkey showed up to Link and inspired him to fight Ganondorf then go back to face Scar."

"Wait, what monkey?" Toad demanded as Yoshi asked, "Who's got a scar?"

"No, it's his uncle,"

"The monkey was his uncle?" Toad asked, even more confused. Marth groaned and said, "No! The monkey encouraged him to go back to his home land and fight his uncle, Scar, to reclaim his rightful place as king."

"Ohhh," Yoshi and Toad smiled, now understanding, before Toad asked, shocked, "Wait a minute, king?"

"Yeah, king," Marth confirmed, "That's what he told me to tell you."

"Wow, a king…" Yoshi said, amazed, as Toad concurred, "Yeah, you think after all these years we'd finally know the guy. Hey, why didn't he take us with him?"

"He and Zelda left last night," Marth said, "They said once they've defeated the danger, they'll come back for you. They don't want to put you in harm's way."

"What?" Toad demanded, outraged, "That jerk, doesn't he know we'll never let him face any danger alone? Marth, which way did he go?"

"He went north," Marth said, "I can show you where exactly, but they left last night, and they were moving quickly. You'll have to be really fast to have any hope of catching up to them."

"Fast?" Toad scoffed, patting Yoshi's back, "Yoshi here makes a rabbit look slow."

"Okay then, follow me," Marth said as he began to lead the two through the jungle.

Meanwhile, Link and Zelda sped across the desert, kicking up sand beneath their feet as they made their way north. A choir sang in the background as this happened, highlighting the emotional element in the king returning to the pride lands. Link's mighty paws left deep prints in the sand as he and Zelda went to confront their destiny.

Well, here we have the beginning of the end. As Link and Zelda move ever closer towards the battle of their lives, Roy will be forced to confront his life mission, and (much like Link) Scar will be forced to face his past.
