Mossy Crawlers and Purple Insects
After I made the bucket and iron leggings, I teleported back to the cave. When I got my bearings, I found some water and used the bucket on it. I got the water source, which stopped the flow of water. I then went back to mining and fighting, killing a skeleton and looking around for some iron and maybe some diamond. I used my water bucket on the lava I found and caused it to turn into obsidian and cobblestone, from the lava source and the lava flow respectively. I explored further and found some iron. I had to kill a few bats, because they were stopped me from mining up the iron, and found some red mushrooms. I picked them up, putting them in my inventory. I continued, finding more iron and found a drop off, with a spider beneath me. I dropped down, stabbing the spider through the top of its head, taking some fall damage in the process. I found more iron, and some coal. I was running low on torches, and had four sticks so I mined up four pieces of coal to make sixteen more torches. I continued and found a bunch of gravel. Because I actually had a decent shovel, I decided to dig up some of the gravel to try and get some flint. From eighteen pieces from gravel, I only got two pieces of flint. I wasn't really all that happy about that, but I decided to try again later. There was a junction in the cave when I passed the gravel, one way going left and the other going right. I went left and found a dead end. I turned round, killing a skeleton that shot at me, it missed but I did not. I went the other way, finding a small drop off containing a creeper. I hit it once, but it exploded. I killed me, but I simply teleported back once I came back to life. I decided to call it Respawning. When I teleported back, I ended up falling, injuring myself. I found two skeletons a few seconds later, both shooting at me. I killed them both quickly before they could kill me again, and then torched up the cave. I found nothing in that direction but the other direction led back to the regular cave again. I decided there was nothing more down here and teleported back home. When I got back home, I put the iron on to smelt, and took everything out of my chest. I sorted them in the storage barn and then went back to the house to get the iron that was done. When I opened the storage barn door I saw a creeper walk towards me. I ducked back inside quickly before the creeper could blow up everything. I killed it by opening the door, attacking it and closing it again. I then went back to the house and made myself an anvil. Afterwards, I decided to make a nice covered path for me from my house to the barn. I decided to make it a two wide wooden path, with fences on either side, and a roof of stairs, to make up for the lack of sloped blocks.
LINE BREAK! This is where you take a break for food and drink, maybe read a book or something.
I was about half done with the roof, I had completed the path itself, but because I was using stairs made of wood from the Ice Forest, I needed to go back there to get some more wood. I cut down quite a few trees, replanting them when I got the saplings, but then an ice blue fireball flew by me, hitting the tree. I whirled around, looking around wildly. I probably shouldn't have gone out for wood at night, but I wanted to finish the path. I saw a weird enemy; it looked like a weird floating snowflake. I stared at it, it looked so weird. Then more of them appeared behind it. There were at least five of them. I prepared to fight. Then two skeletons appeared behind the snowflake monsters. I named the snowflakes Frosts, considering they were icy snowflakes. Plus they lived in this Ice Forest. Back to the impending battle, the two skeletons shot at me, but the Frosts were in their way and the Frosts that got hit started attacking the skeletons that hit them. The three other Frosts started firing their fireballs at me, but missed every shot. They fired three shots, then paused to recharge. I leapt at the nearest Frost, slicing at it vertically, but it didn't seem to be hurt. I noticed a number pop off it. It said six, and when I looked at the Frost again, it had a red bar above its head, which said 74/80. I guessed that was its health, but I wasn't sure. I stabbed at the Frost again, the six popped off it again and the numbers changed to say 68/80. "Okay…maybe that is their health then." I said out loud. I kept attacking, hacking and slashing, stabbing and dodging, until they were all dead. They dropped items which, when I checked them, turned out to be tomatoes, Frozen Shards and Ice Stones. I had two Ice Stones, eight Tomatoes and twenty five Frozen Shards. I cut down a couple more trees, ignoring the fire as it wasn't spreading thanks to the gamerule, and went back home. I made sixty-four spruce wood stairs and checked if I could make some sort of frozen sword or something. I put a stick onto the crafting table on the bottom middle square, and the two Ice stones above it. They fused together and made a sword which had four odd looking blades sticking at forty-five degree angles from the main blade. I called it an Ice Blade, for obvious reasons, considering the materials.

Later on, once I finished the path, I went to bed. After I woke up, I decided to go into a cave, for some new ores. I went back to the old cave, and found a new area. To get down I needed to swim down a waterfall. I grabbed some iron and coal, but then found something large and purplish. Its health bar said it was an Enthralled Dramcryx, whatever that was supposed to mean. I killed it, but it took a really long time. Problem was, it dropped nothing. Jack shit. Zilch. Nada. All those other words that meant nothing. I was pretty pissed off. All that work, and it didn't drop a single thing. I sighed irritably, and continued on. Later on, I found an odd coppery coloured ore, which I could mine with my iron pickaxe. I checked its tool-tip, and I found that it was something called Realmite Ore. I had never heard or even seen this Realmite stuff before. Once I mined it up, I heard an odd noise. I looked around and saw a purple creature. It was half my height, but it was quite long with about six or so legs. It looked like a purple insect version of a creeper. Its health bar said it was a Rotatick. I started attacking it, but when it was at about half its health, I was then attacked by a zombie. I quickly dispatched the zombie, and continued killing the Rotatick. Once I killed it, it dropped a diamond! I grinned and cheered slightly. I finally got a diamond! I'm not sure how long it would have taken to find a diamond by mining. Unfortunately I had taken a bunch of damage from the Rotatick. They caused quite a lot of damage, even with full iron armour! Once I had healed up, I was about to explore the cave further, but then another Rotatick appeared and tried to attack me. Thankfully I took no damage from that one. Problem was, I had no more food. I was surviving on rotten flesh at the moment and I just ate my last bit of it. I was then attacked by a weird green thing. It looked like it was dragging itself around by its front legs, and its back legs had fused together to simply form its back. It seemed to be called a Cave Crawler, which was an apt name for it. Once I killed it, I took a bit more damage, which didn't regenerate because I ran out of food, and it dropped a Realmite Ingot. It looked more like a bronze bar, but it seemed stronger than even diamond! I went in the other direction, because the Cave Crawler was in the tunnel to the left from the Rotatick ambush, and the other way I hadn't explored. It twisted to the left. Around the corner a spider tried to ambush me. I killed it quickly with no damage whatsoever. I realised I was running out of torches. I only had eight left! I quickly teleported home and made some more torches, and grabbed a bit of food. I teleported back to the cave and found more enemies to kill and more ores to mine. A new enemy I found was something called The Eye. It was an odd, difficult to describe thing. It had four legs, with its body being red but it had lots of eyes on its body. Its main eye was on top of the body, with some weird spines coming out of the back of it. It only had forty health though. When I looked at it, it gave me a blindness effect and had the background noise of an angry Enderman. When I killed it, it dropped a sky blue ingot and a bunch of torches. When I checked the ingot, it said it was a Rupee ingot. I wondered what I could make with it, but I decided to wait until I was at home and safe to check. I also found a single Rupee ore over some lava. I was glad I had a water bucket, as it probably would have been burnt up otherwise. I continued onwards, finding more ore and more monsters. I killed another Eye monster, found my first diamond ore, and then another vein of it, and eventually got taken down by a Cyclops. I respawned back home, with my items, and immediately went to my storage to grab some sticks. I smelted all the Realmite ore and grabbed the single Realmite ingot in my chest, and made a Realmite pickaxe once I had enough ingots. I also put the iron and gold ore in my other furnaces after making another four of them, and put the diamonds in my ore chest. I now had three emeralds, eleven diamonds and a Realmite pickaxe. I decided to teleported back down to my latest death waypoint and grab some obsidian with my new pickaxe, if it was able to mine it. I gathered twenty-six obsidian, and killed two Eyes and an Enthralled Dramcryx which was basically a purple highly aggressive stegosaurus. I also killed a Caveclops and got myself a golden pickaxe from it. I now had two Corrupted Shards, two rupee ingots and some torches. I teleported back home and made myself a medium sized farm which was a combination of a sugar cane farm and a regular wheat farm. I also made a fence gate so I could get to the farm without mobs coming into it. I grabbed myself my remaining ladders and dug in the corner of my house to the left of the door as I come in, down ten blocks and made a small tunnel which was three wide and five tall. I then dug into the side of it and made a Nether Portal. Once I completed the frame, I ignited it with my flint and tinder which I made before and walked through the portal.
A.N So, how did you enjoy chapter 3? You might have noticed that I'm choosing to simply highlight new and/or major things that I find during the mining trips. I have playing DivineRPG a lot already so I know most, if not all the mobs in the mod but I'm trying to pretend that I don't know them too well because otherwise there would be no challenge for Shadow! Peace out! Nightrider365
