-Homecoming-
Another day passed by, and Link and Zelda stopped to rest for the night. The two looked at each other, smiling with pride at the distance they covered that day. Link voiced this, "Man, we covered even more ground than I thought we would. After a good night's rest, we should be able to get to the Pride Lands before the sun finishes rising."
"Indeed," Toadsworth agreed, coming out of nowhere as per his fashion, "But I must warn you, young one. The Pride Lands are very different from when you left. Prepare yourself to see how dark your home has become."
"I am," Link reassured him. Toadsworth perked up, saying, "Two are coming."
"Who are they?" Zelda asked, concerned. Toadsworth answered, relaxing, "Worry not. They are not enemies. In fact, they are the opposite."
Before Link could ask what he meant, Yoshi ran over the hill behind them, carrying Toad on his back. The two approached the trio as Link asked, shocked, "Toad? Yoshi? What are you two doing here?"
"What does it look like we're doing?" Toad said as he got off Yoshi, "And on the subject, what did you think you were doing leaving us behind like that?"
"Guys, trust me, this will be really dangerous," Link looked around as he said this, and it became clear he wasn't just addressing Toad and Yoshi, but Toadsworth and Zelda as well. Zelda picked up on this and scoffed, "Danger? Ha! I laugh in the face of danger."
Link smiled at this, and turned back to Yoshi and Toad, as Toad said, "We'll be with ya buddy."
Yoshi nodded in agreement as Toadsworth asked, "Besides, who really wants to live forever, huh?"
Link smiled, "All right then. Now I have no doubt we can do it. Now we should all get some rest. Tomorrow we go towards the fight of our lives."
Toad and Yoshi yawned as they all lay down to get some sleep. Before they did, however, Yoshi asked, "Link, do we have to call you your highness from now on?"
"No, Yoshi," Link laughed
Well, there's another short chapter. Sorry but the next couple will probably be fairly short. Oh well, hope they're good at least.
