Scooby couldn't sleep at the moment. He couldn't believe what had happened to James. The kid had seemed so powerful and immortal to everyone. Scooby noticed that Owen was fast asleep on the bed. The cuffs that were linking them together were still there, since Chris MacLean had so conveniently lost the keys to them.
"Ri ronder rhat ris roing ro rappen ro rames," Scooby muttered under his breath. The dog had befriended the boy so easily; it felt strange to be so powerless to do anything to help him. Scooby stared around the cabin and saw that everyone was fast asleep around him. Brielle and Twiggy had taken the left side of the cabin floor; James Knight was sleeping on one side of the bed while Lilly was lying on the opposite side of the bed. Scooby noticed that Kiff and Nessie were taking the pillow from under the other's head continuously. He also noticed that Nessie's arm was over Kiff's head, as if she wanted to get a hug from him. Scooby smiled, as he felt tired and started to fall asleep.

Laura sighed, as she couldn't sleep. She felt like she was dragged through the thick ground, but it appeared like Landon and her hadn't left the room. He was sound asleep and looked as if he was an angel, not an evil mastermind who could and would kill his own nephew. Laura had realized that her head was rested on his chest. She could feel his heartbeat, slow and steady. She didn't even hear darkness in his heart; it felt almost pure and untainted. Laura was taught that heroes had slower and steadier heartbeats, while villains had fast and dangerous heartbeats. Laura couldn't understand why this was possible; it went against everything she knew. Laura noticed that Shaun and Darren had fallen asleep on the floor, while Luna and Alexia were on the edge of the other bed. Erica was in an embrace with Flim-Flam, possibly enjoying the closeness to him.
"Is something wrong?" Landon asked. Laura jumped at the sound of his voice, believing that he was asleep this whole time.
Laura regained her breath. "Yes, I was just worried about James, he might die," Laura replied.

"I am also worried about your good heartbeat," Laura muttered.

Landon surveyed her. She broke into a cold sweat, nervous that he would catch her in a lie.
"That makes perfect sense. He was a good hero; he even found a way to best me. It makes sense that you worry about the child," Landon said. Laura smiled, as she feels fast asleep.

Lucy was worried about her boyfriend. She didn't want to lose him; it caused her to be restless. Cassie was asleep on the other side of the bed they were lying on. Chase, Sami and Daniel were all fast asleep. Jason, Aaron and Leo all seemed to be awake with her.
"Lucy, are you awake?" Aaron asked.
Lucy nodded her head. "Yeah, I am worried for James and his life."
Aaron showed a touch of sympathy in his eyes. "I can understand where you are coming from. I never hated my brother, I was annoyed by him. I hoped he lived, I don't know what I would do without him." Aaron was starting to cry, when Jason touched him on the shoulder.
Jason consoled his friend. "James has been through worst in his life. He faced numerous psychopaths and still survived at the end of the day. He will survive this minor disease." Lucy noticed that Leo had a concerned look on his face.
"Is something bothering you?" Lucy asked.
"My brother Landon, he always had an ulterior motive to everything, why did he rescue James?" Leo asked.
"It doesn't make much sense, but maybe he feels guilt for his past actions," Lucy said.
Leo gave Lucy a serious look. "For my whole life, my brother has never felt a shred of remorse for anything he has ever done. He certainly wouldn't start to feel something now," Leo replied. Lucy sighed, as she went to sleep.

Tiny Tina couldn't sleep. She sighed, as she kept thinking about the first time she met James. He was a sweet guy, and let her help them. Kassy was asleep on her right side, while Samantha and JJ were sleeping on the cold floor. Daphne and Velma were sleeping on the other bed, while Rob and Peter had fallen asleep on the third bed.

Ally couldn't sleep; she was way too worried about her father. Ally noticed that Rift was also awake, as everyone was asleep on the bed.
Rift gave her a look of sympathy. "I know how you are feeling," Rift said.
"Are you sure that you know how I feel?" Ally asked.
Rift gave her a stern look. "I was the same way; afraid of something that I wanted to think was impossible."
"So, you don't think that my father will die?" Ally asked, fear evident in her voice.
Rift glanced away for a second. "I can't promise you that, Ally. You know it will be possible that he could die and you won't exist. I just hope that it doesn't come to that. I wouldn't have a reason to live anymore."
Ally gave a quick smirk. "But if I never existed, you wouldn't have a me to grieve for," Ally replied. A bell dinged.
"Maclean has to be kidding me," Ally muttered.
Rift: We all have to grieve.
Ally: But I will move on, believe in the impossible.

Chris stared at the two new people who were standing in front of him. They were two of the four new interns. The first person was a girl who had medium length chocolate hair with blond bangs and had one hazel and one blue eye. The girl had olive skin; she stood at approximately five foot eight, was quite lean but did have some muscle. From what he gotten from her interview, she was a pessimist, but was actually quite shy, quiet and strange in the best way. Her name was Soren Rakis, though she preferred Ren.
The other new intern was a boy. The boy had short chocolate brown hair that seemed to only extend under his ears. The boy had green emerald eyes and has Romanesque facial features. He was about the same size as the girl and had tan skin. He had a muscular build, similar to that of a surfer. He also appeared to be very skilled in archery, based on the interview he had performed on the boy. He was an extreme optimist, and had high potential to be a contestant in the games, along with Ren. Chris made the two new interns leave and to go and report to Chef for their task. He stared at the two other people there. One was a girl with black hair wearing a gray hoodie and had big blue eyes. It was Aaron's girlfriend, Xion.
"Hello Xion, how does it feel to be back and close to your boyfriend?" Chris asked with a smirk on his face.
Xion blinked her eyes. "It would be great, if I was a contestant and not an intern who has been known to be killed on this show, I had seemed some of your old footage from the previous seasons."
"It will be different from the other interns I have had, for you four will have a special opportunity that no other intern has ever had."
"What would that be?" Xion asked.
"It is the ability to enter the game, once the merge has happened, adding much more drama to the show," Chris replied.
"Who is the final intern, anyway?" Xion asked. Chris gestured, as the final intern came out from the limo. Fangs stepped out the van.
"Hello, Fangs. Are you excited to be back here?" Chris asked.
Fangs nodded his head. "I want to prove that I can beat Kiff, we have that tie to settle, if he hasn't been eliminated yet."
"No, he has not. He is currently chained to Nessie," Chris replied.
Xion gave a brief smile. "I wonder how long he will last if he has to work with her."
"Actually, he has been doing well. Nessie and he were the first one to the top of the mountain at the end of the last challenge."
"They beat James?" Xion and Fangs asked.
"Not exactly, there was a complication with James. He can't compete right now, he has fallen into a coma," Chris replied, as he gestured for the duo to follow him.

Luna awoke. Everything was too quiet for her liking. It was actually somewhat eerie to the heroine. Alexia finally awoke after her.
"Luna, how are you?" Alexia asked, quite nervously.
"Fine, should I be feeling anything else?" Luna asked back. She noticed that her clothes were covered in dirt.
That is a strange sight to see, dirt isn't on the cabin floor, Luna thought. She noticed that Alexia was wearing her sneakers and they were also covered in somewhat fresh dirt.
"Is everything okay?" Alexia blinked her eyes, as if she was on edge of a secret.
"How come there is dirt on your sneakers?" Alexia was starting to sweat quickly; Luna felt that she had just caught the girl in a lie.
"I don't know, maybe we were sleepwalking. There is also dirt on your sneakers. I must have dragged you on a late-night walk. It has happened to me before; I used to wonder the whole neighborhood at night startling the neighbors."
"Oh, I thought you were in a secret alliance," Luna replied.
"That is a crazy accusation. I am not that obsessed with winning." Alexia rolled her eyes, as if she was ignoring the entire thought.

"Alexia is in a secret alliance, I can't trust her. She lied straight to my face. I had to fake her out, I have to warn the others, once we are unchained," Luna quickly said.
"I don't trust Luna. She must know then she is letting on. I stumbled way too much during this conversation. I didn't come up with a good alibi to fit my lie. I sleepwalk, I am such an idiot! No one in their right mind would believe that garbage. I have to prove that Landon wrong, though.

Erik awoke and sighed. Christine was still sleeping; he still had no clue what age he was. He picked up Christine like a bride and walked out of the cabin. James Knight was standing outside of the door.
"Well, that is certainly an improvement on your face. You also appear to be only eighteen and not a thirty-something year-old man or older loving a young girl. So, Erik, would you like to hear a proposition that I have for you?" James Knight asked.
"Yes, I presume that you will tell me, anyway. What do your propose?" Erik asked.
"I would like for you to help me keep the game interesting, no matter the cost. We will be cutting corners, skirting edges, making our own rooms to this little game. I will also make a promise to keep you and Christine in until the merge."
"Are you proposing this idea, elsewhere?" Erik asked a certain gleam in his eyes was evident.
"No, everybody else plays by the rules. They wouldn't want this to happen."
"Interesting, I will take your deal child. I would like to win this little game, just as much as everyone else."

Chris waited, as the contestants started to pile towards the mess hall.
"I have some interesting news for everyone. First off, I would like to introduce our new interns in Soren, Felix, Xion and Fangs. They will be assisting and if they survive to the merge, they will also join our little contestant roster," Chris said.

"This could be either a very good thing, or a very negative thing. I could take a greater advantage now, but the risk is much higher than before," Landon said.
"More potential allies/enemies, I just hope I make it through this challenge," Alexia said.
"Fangs will be back soon, our rivalry seems to have lived," Kiff said.
"Xion is here. I don't know how to feel about this," Aaron muttered.

"I do have a second bit of news. This challenge will be an eight-way elimination, challenge. There will be only one winning alliance and every other alliance will be eliminating two contestants of their choices. The challenge is to fight for victory, whichever alliance with the most conscious members will be declaring the victors. Let the fight begin!"

"Chase, can you still freeze time like you did last time?" Lucy asked.
"Yes, but it won't affect Landon, Shaun, Nessie, Laura, Darren, Kiff, Scooby and Leo," Chase said.
"Do it, we need the victory," Cassie said. Chase proceeds to freeze time and knocked most of the other contestants out, with only two members of the Lucky eights being unconscious.
"Well, now we have to deal with the unaffected," Sami said, as she was knocked out.
"I see you cheated a little brother," Landon said.
"Well, we all know what would happen if I left you to bite and hurt people."
Landon knocked Chase in the jaw and he continued to attack the man until he fell. Time unfroze and Shaun, Luna, Alexia, Darren, Landon were all still standing on their feet.
"I have no clue what happened, but the Lucky eights have the challenge. Also, the handcuffs never did anything to you. It was psychological to your mind," Chris MacLean said. All the contestants proceeded to break the chains. "The first elimination of the night will be for the Lucky ones. See you guys tonight."

"I am sorry Cassie and Sami, but you didn't hone your skills on anyone," Lucy said.

Landon smirked, as his brother left his room. "Hello Chase, I see you are playing Mr. Goodytwoshoes, where has all your darkness gone?"
"It is in the bottom of my heart," Chase replied.
"I can fix that up," Landon said, as he grabbed Chase's heart out of his chest. He slowly darkened it with his magic. He placed back into his brother's chest
"I feel different, more powerful and stronger than before. I believe I will join you, brother," Chase replied.

Erik and James waited by the corner, as Darren, Chase, Alexia and Landon arrived.
"He is not on his our side. He is too good," James said.
"No, he is. I see the Phantom joined our little group," Landon said. The bell rung.

Landon smirked. "I believe it is time to get rid of Mr. Parker and his lovely son next. Sabotage the next challenge in any way possible."
"Wow, that Landon is some serious villain. He turned his brother evil, and wishes to get rid of Spiderman and his son. Will Peter and Rob survive next challenge? What other tricks does Landon have?
