Chapter 11

BPOV

Once we got to the house the rest of those who didn't get to hunt went including me-the newborn. After that, we all sat down in the living room, while Carlisle talked to this new vampire called Jason. Who was he? What did he want with Carlisle? Why did he look at me that way? These are questions I want answers too and soon-well except the last one, that can wait-so I know what is going on atmosphere was very tense after we came from the meeting. I think everyone is on edge since Jason is here. We don't know what he wants so everyone is on guard in case some thing happens. It's making very uncomfortable. I just want to learn more about this new guy.

I was sitting on the love sofa with a very tense and alert Edward, next to me. He hasn't said a word to me since we got back from the meeting. I know he was unhappy about my encounter with Jason during the meeting but I couldn't just keep silent. I couldn't help myself; I wanted to get to know and Jasper are on the floor with about 5 feet of space between the two of them. I guess they still haven't worked things out yet. Rosalie and Emmett were sitting on the other sofa in the living room.

Esme was keeping busy buy cleaning the kitchen that was already spotless to begin of no where we see Carlisle descending the stairs with Jason trailing behind him. They come to a stop in front of us, to make an announcement I assume. Esme runs into the living room to join the rest of us. She sits on the arm of the sofa Emmett and Rosalie are on. We all perk up ready to her the new- not knowing if its good or bad.

"Everyone, Jason here came to Forks to find our coven. Jason uses our ways when it comes to feeding", thanks for stating the obvious Carlisle," what he wanted to talk to me about was to ask my permission to join our family" Carlisle says. We are all he came here so he could join us? If all it takes was a little chat with Carlisle in his office then I would have done that a while ago, humph. So unfair, it can't be that easy.

"Of course, I would never make such a big decision alone. I'm putting it to a vote, majority wins. Please answer yes or no if you would like Jason here to join us." Carlisle informed us.

"Before you start voting, may I say something Carlisle?" Jason asked. Carlisle waved in front of him to motion to Jason that he has the floor.

"I know none you know me, but I would like to know all of you. I know you all must think I just want to join a coven but it's not true. If I just wanted to join someone's coven I would have done so already. I don't want to join a coven at all, I want a family" he looks directly at me when he says this." I want to join your family because it is unique and you try to change the stereotype of what we are. I never had a family, not even when I was human. So am asking you if you would let me be apart of your lives here. Thank you." he says and steps back to let Carlisle take control now and start the vote.

"Kind words, Jason. Now we will start the vote. Esme dear." Carlisle says. Indicating for Esme to start the voting first.

"I vote yes. I would love to have you has a son, Jason." Esme says. She smiles and walks to Carlisle's side after giving Jason a warm, motherly hug. He smiles back at her and says thank you to her.

"I vote yes" Alice said. "You seem like a cool guy and I guess I could use another brother" she says playfully and gets up to hug him. "How old are anyway?" she ask while embracing him.

"I'm 19; well that's what age I was when I was turned. In 1905" he said. I wonder if something happened to him. He seems reluctant to talk about his pass, I wonder why?

"I say no" Rosalie said. "I'm tired of all these new comers, isn't that right Bella" Rosalie stated, looking at me with the meanest look she could muster up. I roll my eyes at her remark, knowing that it was nothing personal and that I understand her reasoning.

"Well I say yes" Emmett yelled out in excitement. "I'm with Alice, another brother would be awesome. I'm gonna kick your ass at X-Box dude" Emmett said while shaking hands with Jason and smiling far we have three yes and one no.

"I say no" Jake said. Appearing in the door way. He left with the wolves but said we would return shortly." We don't need anymore vamps around here. Sorry dude" Jake said.

"No harm done" Jason said. Then Jake entered and closed the door and came to sit near my feet by the love sofa.

"I say no" Jasper and Edward said together. I was surprised, but they didn't state why they didn't want Jason to join.

That made me it's my turn," I say yes" which was all I said. To be honest I have no idea why I said yes, I just did. Jason stared at me and I stared back, I was captured by the depth and emotion behind those golden eyes.

"Well looks like we have come to a decision then. I say yes. If I combine all the yes votes you and no votes it seems you are welcomed in this family, Jason." Carlisle said and gave him a hug. So did everyone else. The only people who didn't hug or shake hands with Jason were Edward, Jasper, and Jake. I wonder what there problem is. Whatever it is, I'm gonna get to the bottom of it.

I got off the sofa and walked over to Jason after everyone else gave him room to breath. "Welcome to the family" I said and smiled at him.

"So we meet again. Thanks for voting yes, you know you could have said no if you didn't want me here" Jason says.

"Who said I didn't want you here?" I asked.

I couldn't help but notice that I was flirting with him a bit, laughed and smiled, "I just assumed since you didn't state why you want me here either. I'm curious to known why you said yes? I'll let you in on a little secret, me not having a family isn't the only reason why I want to join so badly" he told me.

"So what's the other reason?" I ask him.

With a small smile on my leans in and whispers in my ear, "You are the other reason. I was intrigued by you when I saw you in the woods. You and that beautiful smile. I told you, I want to learn more about you, Bella. Being here is the perfect way for me to do that. Not to mention we also have eternity being vampires too" he is so lucky I didn't get married to Edward early.

I'm in no way related to him, so it would be perfectly okay if… What am I saying? Relation between each other is not a problem since no one here is actually related. I can't be with Jason, I'm with Edward. I don't know this is a confusion situation and so is my love life.

"C'mon Jason. Let's go pick out your room" Esme said waiting for Jason on the stairs.

"When mother calls you come. I'll see you later Bella." Jason said and then kissed my cheek before he zoomed up stairs to go pick out a room.

"Looks like Jason likes you, Bella" Carlisle said coming up behind me.

Looks like life just got a bit more complicated, great. Ugh.
