Chapter 25

BPOV

I was lead into the castle with Caius carrying me bridal style as I withered in pain. It felt like this baby was tearing my insides apart, literally. I screamed and moaned as we walked down two hallways and did a couple turns. Finally, Caius put me down on a comfy bed.

I looked around and saw we were in a bedroom somewhere on the first floor. I sat on a king size bed in the wall opposite the door we came through. To my left was a closet and a basinet for the baby. Near it was a a dresser which only had a lap and nic nacs on it. To my right, two bay windows were there and a closet.

I screamed at the top of my lungs when I felt a rib or two break. I started to panic then. I went to get off the bed and make an escape. I didn't want Caius to have my baby whether it was evil or not. I didn't want to have it here either.

I slowly moved off the bed making sure I kept my eyes on Caius who was at the dresser to my left pulling out what looked to be baby clothes and a gown I suspected he wanted me to wear.

My feet hit the floor and I was holding my swollen belly and walking slowly to the door. Making sure to keep my moans and groans quite. I just grabbed the door handle when I heard him.

"Bella!" I heard a velvety voice yell. Edward was here. He came for me! I opened the door a walked as fast as I could in the condition and pain I was in. But it wasn't fast enough cause I got two feet down the hall when Caius suddenly appeared in front of me.

"Now where do you think your going? Its time for you to give birth to our new king, Isabella." Caius stated and picked me back up and carried back to the bed. Just as he laid me down I screamed out again, and heard two more cracks. Now, I was screaming and crying-without tears- cause all I felt now was excruciating pain.

"Caius, we have to get the baby out. They both will die if he doesn't come out now" stressed some woman I hadn't noticed came in. I assume she was the doctor.

Caius helped me change into this blue silk gown he had. The gown was practically see through and I had no clue why I needed it to give birth but I was in so much pain I didn't care.

The doctor who I now know is named Sara, looked between my legs and feeling along my swollen belly.

"I cant do anything. She's a vampire so surgical tools wont work. The baby will have to come out on its own. It will rip through her stomach" .she stated to Caius and gathered her tools to put back in a bag she had on the dresser.

I heard racket going on down the halls and outside and I assumed it was Edward and our family. We heard a big explosion that made us all stop and look out the window. I could barely see from the bed but it seemed like Edward or someone blew up the SUVs in the front.

"Hurry up" Caius said to Sara.

"I cant speed the process." she replied. Then she examined my belly again. I was screaming all the time now and not even trying to hold it in.

Just as Sara said it was close I felt searing hot pain like something ripped through me and when I looked down Sara was pulling out my bloodied son.

Caius smiled and looked at me. "Thank you Isabella. I have no further use for you now so I most likely would kill you but your open abdomen and the bleeding will do that. You will die in minutes if not fed." he told me.

I barely heard him as I was exhausted and fading in and out of consciousness. I saw Caius take my son as Sara left the room, from the basinet. He cleaned him and dressed him.

"Goodbye Isabella." he told me as he left the room with my son in his arms. Then everything went black.

EPOV

We arrived at the castle where we know Caius took Bella. The plan was for Jason to provide a distraction before everyone else stormed the castle form different sides to search for Bella inside and kill Caius. Alice and I discussed giving ourselves up like we originally were gonna do but thought better of it. He would just use us to not kill Bella nd probably do it anyway.

So I sat at the main entrance of the castle hiding behind an SUV with Jason next to me. He planted explosives on the cars as the distraction for the guards. A bit childish to me but whatever. The kid has seen way too many action films.

"Were all set" Jason told me. "um, Edward before go in and die I wanna say something to you.

I groaned and rolled my eyes." what is it? We are gonna go in in a minute" I stated. Staying kneeled behind the car and looking for the guards making sure they didn't see us. Everyone else I could hear were in position. Carlisle and Esme south entrance, Rose and Emmett west, and Alice and Jasper were at the east entrance.

"I just wanted to tell you that I'm sorry about what I said before in the room. I know you wouldn't permanently leave Bella. And I'm not in love with her I just care about her a lot. At first yes, I thought I had a chance but it changed quickly and after talking to her some I just view here as the sister I lost or never had. I'm sorry if you felt I was trying to steal her away." he confessed to me. I looked at him and listened to his thoughts. He was sincere in what he said and how he felt about Bella now.

I patted his shoulder, " Thanks, and your not so bad. You can stay with us if you would like. We can be your new family if you need one. Ill accept it." I stated with a nod. He nodded back and then we counted down the seconds.

The bomb was suppose to go off thirty seconds ago and still nothing. " What the hell happened, Jason?" I asked him.

"I don't know. There just not working." he stated a little nervous and frustrated. I didn't have time for this so I left behind the car and ran up to the entrance. I was stopped by the guards but took them out. I heard Jason behind me making sure the guards were dead.

I entered the castle and search high and low. I still saw no sign of Bella as I searched rooms on the first and second floor. I went back to the first and screamed her name.

I heard the thoughts of my family as they entered the castle and searched telling me they saw no sign of her either. I was starting to panic. I frantically looked around and then I heard a loud boom. The explosives must have worked.

Jason came to a halt next me suddenly, " See? They worked." he stated. I smirked a bit and then we all went still as we heard a heart shattering scream.

"Bella." I whispered. I knew that scream. She was hurt and in pain. I had to find her. I followed the the screams that I kept hearing and as did my family. We all stopped when we heard Bella's screams halt and another shrieking being heard.

It sounds like a baby. Our baby was here. Bella did it. She had our baby. I followed the crying of a child. I heard more foot falls and assumed the rest of my family was behind me. We ran and searched rooms until we all stopped when we saw the one man we came here to kill

Caius

And he as holding a baby. He had me and Bella's baby

He looked at all of as and smiled. His eyes found me, "Congrats Edward. Your Isabella gave you a son." he stated simply.

"Where is Bella? What did you do with her?" I asked.

"Isabella isn't needed anymore you can have her. If she's still alive. I simply needed what was in her womb." he told us. Then he looked at the baby in his arms. My son.

"What do you want with the baby, Caius?" Carlisle asked him calmly.

"This boy will be great ruler. A couple of soothsayers of mine foresaw your son, Edward. As the next king of the vampires. They saw cities with rivers of blood and vampires openly feeding on the humans. We didn't hide from anyone. We were on time. Feeding when and on who we wanted. Your son was brought forth all of this." he said looking at me.

"Your wrong. He is just a baby he is not evil." I told him. My voice betraying my mixed emotions about what he told me about my son.

"We will see." he simply stated. At that moment we were attacked in every direction in the narrow hallway by guards. Caius ran in the opposite direction with a guard flanking him. I fought my way out and went after him. Before I could get any further I saw an open door and the sight I saw nearly killed me.

I saw Bella with her belly open and bleeding. She looked to be unconscious. I scooped her up and ran out of their. My family saw me and cleared a path for me. I ran outside with Bella in my arms. I sat at the edge of the woods and tried to wake her up.

I shook her and touched her cheek, "Bella? Bella, baby wake up. You cant leave me, baby. I need you. Forever and always remember? Please wake up!" I heard her moan a bit.

"Edward….hunt….blood…baby" she muttered and coughed. She knew about the baby and I'm guessing she wanted me to hunt. I looked around and tried to listen for any wildlife in these woods. I heard a rabbit near by. I laid Bella in the grass and leaves before running off and scooping up the rabbit and running back to her.

I ripped the rabbits throat open and held it over Bella's mouth. I gently pried her mouth open slightly to let the blood in. After she got a couple mouth full I saw her Bella close up and flatten back out. As if she was a never pregnant.

Bella abruptly sat up and looked around. She saw me and held my face in her hands. "I heard you call for me. You ok?" she asked.

I told her, "I'm fine, are you? I'm so glad your back with me." I sobbed. I was just so glad to have her back.

"Edward, the baby. Caius has him, he told me things that our son would do…" she rambled on.

"I know I saw him. He told us. We got attacked so I couldn't get to him but I found you and Alice and Jasper are after Caius." I told her. We hugged and kissed quickly before getting up.

I saw some of my family coming back out except for Alice and Jasper. We waited patiently for Alice and Jasper to come out. They wanted to kill Caius so we all let them go after him.

"Edward, Alice and Jasper need to come out in two minutes cause after that. This castle wont be standing. I planted explosives all around it." Jason informed me.

"What?" Bella shouted. "my son is in there, Jason. What if they don't make it out? What if Alice and jasper get trapped?" she asked. I held her to me and we waited.

I heard Jason countdown from five and everyone bounced on their heels in anticipation. Just as the explosive triggered we saw Alice and Jasper emerge.

But they didn't have our son with them.

"Alice?" Bella asked. Her voice was shaky with emotion. " where's my baby? What happened?" she said.

Alice and Jasper looked at each other before Jasper spoke. "Bella, Caius killed your son before we got to him. Caius is dead but your son didn't make it. Im so sorry." he informed us.

Bella cried silent tears and collapsed to the ground. I held on the her telling her everything was gonna be ok. That we would get through this. The threat was gone and the battle was over. But we paid a heavy price. We lost our son.

Its been two months since the Caius incident and Bella and I are still mourning the death of our son. We talk about what happened and how he looked like me with his green eyes and hair. She cried and so did I. our family was their to support us through everything. Jason decided he wanted to stay with us so the family currently is making room for him at the house. Everyone is just settling down and unwinding after these hard couple of months.

We are currently watching TV in our cottage when Bella asked me the one question I knew was on her mind since that day.

"Do you still love me? Even after losing our son and everything that happened before that. I knew we were going through some things." she stated shyly as she lay on her side with my curled behind her on our bed.

I turned her over so I was looking into her golden eyes. "Bella with or without kids I will always love you. Yes, things were rough with us after the Jasper kiss and Jason coming in but this whole fiasco with Caius made me realize no matter what happens between us I will always want you. Now and forever." I told her honestly.

She smiled and kissed me passionately before saying, "Forever and always".
