A-note I had hit writers block.
Snape was sitting in a soft chair resting his eye. His attention was interrupted by rapid knocking on his door.
"Severus Snape!" a voice called from behind his door. He got up and answered the door. There in pink robes, short and toad like, Deloris Umbridge. "Severus, as I understand it Professor McGonagall has taken over your class." Deloris said in a business tone. "Am I correct?"
"That is correct." Severus answered. "I asked her to take over my classes for awhile."
"Why?" Deloris asked.
"I am currently incapable of teaching at the present time." Snape answered.
"You seam fine to me." Deloris stated. Snape turned back to his chair. "and your
"This is something that you may have overlooked but the rules clearly state that I am perfectly able to take a ill day as long as I find someone able to look after my classes." Snape recited.
"That may have been the case with the old headmaster, but my rules are different." Deloris argued.
"Oh yes that is right you did replace our headmaster recently didn't you." Snape said "Forgive me but I did not realize that you were changing the staff rules as well. If that is the case I have not received any news of the rule changes." Snape stated sarcastically.
"For your information I have, and since you have not received the new regulations I'll send you one immediately." She made her way to the door. "I want you to handle your classes tomorrow and I find out you haven't you will be punished." She left the room and shut the door behind her. Snape rolled his eyes. How he hated that woman. Snape decided to go and get some dinner. He was well aware students were watching him as he walked up to the staff table. He sat next to McGonagall. She looked at him with a expression of concern, understanding and was it possible love?
"Why are you looking at me that way?" Severus ask sounding harsher then he intended.
"I wish to speak to you, in privet… soon." She said. Snape watched her for a moment but returned to his dinner, he had only seen that look once, and that look came from his very own mother and was before he got his letter when he was seven years old.

Severus made his way down stairs, he could smell the eggs cooking from his room Maria was right behind him.
"Do you think daddy hit her again?" Maria whispered. "She didn't wake me up this morning." Severus nodded.
"I heard them fighting last night. It sounded bad." They walked into the kitchen.
"Mummy?" Maria asked.
"Oh Severus, Maria I didn't hear you come down."Eileen said with a painted smile.
"Mum did dad hit you again?" Severus asked hesitantly.
"Yes Daddy did hit your Mum." Tobias confessed in a mocking tone. "Mommy got out of line and tried to talk back to Daddy." Maria and Severus got closer to Eileen. "You best learn from your Mom now girl cause you will have to serve a man to one day." Tobias said grabbing a beer from the fridge.
"Mum can Maria and I go outside today?" Severus asked. He desperately wanted to leave the house.
"No you can't you brats have to clean that woman's mess." Tobias answered.
"I wasn't asking you, and you can clean the mess up yourself ." Severus boldly said. Tobias stopped and stared down Severus. Severus knew he had just made a huge mistake.
"What did you say to me boy?" Tobias asked. Severus said nothing. "I asked you a question boy." Tobias said a little louder. Maria instinctively ran to the corner "What did you say!?" Tobias yelled grabbing Severus by the scruff of the neck. Maria hid behind her mother.
"Tobias don't please he's just a child!" Eileen screamed.
"I said you can clean the mess up yourself." Severus said. Wham! Severus went crashing to the floor.
"I'm gonna teach you a lesson boy!" Tobias yelled taking off his belt. Severus tried with all his might to get away, but Tobias was on him in seconds.
"Tobias NO!" Eileen screamed.
"Shut up woman! The boy needs to learn how to respect!" Tobias struck his belt across Severus's back. Severus cried out in pain. Eileen's motherly instincts took over. She grabbed Tobias's arms to prevent him from striking again but this was ineffective. Tobias elbowed her in the ribs causing her to fall into the counter. Another whack of the belt caused another horrific scream.
"Stop leave him alone!" Eileen cried out as she grabbed Tobias. He turned on Eileen striking her with a belt. Once again she was went crashing to the floor.
"Stop hurting my mum!" Severus screamed. Tobias grabbed Severus's leg.
"Look at your mother boy! Look at her!" Tobias yelled. He pulled Severus up by the hair. He grabbed Severus's jaw and jerked his head to Eileen . "She is nothing! Just like you." Tobias insulted Severus. "You are nothing!" Once again the belt meet Severus's back, again and again the belt struck. The sting continued to worsen with each strike.
"Leave my brother alone!" Maria screamed attempting to pull him off of Severus. Tobias backhanded Maria causing her to crash into an old garbage can. He turned to Maria slowly.
"You see this." Tobias threatened holding up his belt. "Unless you want me to strike you like I struck your ungrateful brother you will keep your mouth shut you bratty little bitch." Tobias once again turned to Severus. "Get up boy." Severus didn't move, the pain was too great. "I said get up!" Tobias yelled striking again. Severus's white shirt slowly turned red. "Are you going to talk back to me again you damn brat?" Severus shook his head. "Good don't you forget it." Tobias left went outside.
"Oh Severus My son." Eileen pulled her son onto his lap
"I'm sorry mum."Severus whimpered.
"It wasn't your fault. Don't apologize." Eileen warmly whispered embracing her son and daughter.
