The birds enter their tent. The Blues looked around, "Why are there 6 beds?" They ask. "Um...Maybe because there's 6 birds?" Chuck answer. "You said it like it's so simple." Jay started. "Yeah, everyone should know that we Blues share everything." Jim continue. "After all, we do live by a saying...,'Born together, Live together, Sleep together.'" Jake finish.
Chuck just shrug, "Whatever, I don't want to get in anymore 'fights' today. Just giveme the bottom bunk bed closest to the door and I'll fine." "Um, you do know that this is a frame tent?" Jim ask. "You know what I mean!" Chcuk yelled as he sat down on the his bunk.
"If it's not to much to ask, I'll like a bottom bunk too." Bomb said placing his bag on the bottom bunk across from Chuck. "We'll like a bottom bed too." The Blues said, sitting on the last bottom bunk. Matilda looked around, "I-I guess that leaves me a top bunk." "If it doesn't brother." Bomb said.
"No. It's doesn't. I'm cool with it...Dude."
The rest of the day was simple, unpacking (everyone but the Blues, who didn't have a bag), eating lunch/supper (with no fights or talking), and sleep.
Meanwhile, in another tent...
"I think that all the birds are here, tomorrow you can start training." Red inform Terence. Terence frown.
"Some of my men spoted a few of the Pigs bases, that where I'm taking my men."
Terence just roll his eyes.
"Don't think I can't see you cause I can," Red pionted out, "I know you don't want to do this, but... Thank you."
"You're my little bro, why wouldn't I help you." Terence answer.
"Oh before I go, you're training group AB. So good luck." Red said as they both exit the tent.
"Group AB, what does that stand for?"
"I don't know, I just put two letters together." Red said and headed off.
The camp woke up to the sound of a trumpet. Matilda from group AB, but you know this, tossed and turned forgetting that she was on the top bunk bed. She closed her eyes and let out a small, "Eek!" As she fall, but she didn't hit the ground instead she fell into somebody's arms. She open her eyes just to see Bomb staring down at her. She felt her face turning dark red, this only cause Bomb to frown and let go of her. She hit the ground, reminding her that she was not a girl but a boy.
After breakfast the group were ask to stand in a line in front of their tent and to wait until their trainer got there. This is how group AB line was left to right: Chuck, Bomb, Matilda, and the Blues (Jay, Jake, and Jim.)
Terence arrive a few secounds later, with a clipboard. He looked at his group, quietly standing in a straight line. Then he spoke, "I am Terence and I will be your trainer, understand?"
"Choo-Choo." Chuck said.
Terence just looked at Chuck; causing him to look down at his feet.
'They send me daughters when I ask for sons, didn't they?' Terence thought to himself.
"Okay first I want to know your full name and age. So I can get a clear understanding of what I'm working with."
Matilda lost Terence at "Full name." She haven't came up with a boy name for her! 'Think! Think, Matilda!'
Terence walked up to Chuck, "Name and age."
"Chuck Yellow Bird. Age 25"
'Come on Matilda! There's a lot of names, why can't you come up with one!'
Terence walked up to Bomb, "Name and age."
"Bomb Black Bird. Age 26."
Terence walked up to Matilda, "Name and age."
Matilda was too busy thinking, that she's didn't hear him, so he ask again, "Name and age." But Matilda still didn't hear him.
The Blues could see that Terence was getting annoyed, so Jay elbow her.
Matlida blinked a few times before seeing Terence standing in front of her, causing her to step back. Terence ask once more, "Name and age."
"Ma-Mark White Bird. Age 24." Matilda finally answer shakily.
Terence walked to the Blues, "Name and age."
"Jake"
"Jim"
"Jay!"
"17" "18" "16" the three of them said at the same time. Terence just looked at them "What?"
"Oh...Um..." The Blues just looked at each other.
"You guys are brothers, right?" Terence ask.
"Yes," Jim spoked up, "it's only that..."
"We like to believe that..." Jake continue.
"We're different ages!" Jay finished.
"So? I don't want to know what you believe. I want to know your age." Terence order.
The Blues seems to be scary, "Um...Seventeen." Jim answer. "Yeah! Seventeen!" Jay added. Jake just nodded.
Terence knew that there were something weird about that answer, but he say nothing.
"Follow me." Terence ordered and started to walk in the forest, Group AB followed not too close but not too far away.
As they walked in the forest, Terence kelp looking forward, while the rest looked around, "Stop," he order. Jim stopped quickly causing the rest of the bids to bump into him and fall.
"I knew it, saddest bunch I ever met," Terence said and turn facing a tree, "Tell me, what do you see."
"Um... A tree." Chuck answer.
"Yes, but what makes it stand out."
"It's bigger." Matilda answer.
"And thicker." Bomb added.
"It looks peaceful," Jay said, "Yeah a tranquil tree." Jim finish for him.
"That's right, this tree has been here since the first Red bird who ever rule the land." Terence said, "We choose this place for training because of this tree. This tree should remind that you must be tranquil as a forest but a fire within." Terence continue walking , the rest follow, "I'm sure once you all your center you'll be sure to win."
"You must be quiet at war, mysteries like the dark side of the moon. And if you want to survive, follow my every order and you'll survive."
The birds walked up at a open field with a few training materials, "Follow me." Terence said, who didn't stop to look around. Group AB quickly catch up.
"Now let me inform, every bird will have a different training area simple fact that every bird has a different power." Terence said.
The birds found themselve standing in front of a running track. "Wow. Look at that. This track looks to be like a half mile long!" Chuck whistle.
"That's because it is." Terence inform Chuck.
"Ha! I almost feel sorry for the bird who has to run on this track!" Chuck laugh, then looked around to see other yellow birds already running on the track, "It's me isn't it?"
The Blues couldn't help but to giggle and Terence nodded, "It is said that the yellow bird power is to run as let's say the wind. Example, 5 miles in 10 seconds. So until you run 5 miles in 10 seconds your power wouldn't be unroll."
"Hold on," Chuck shook his head, "I've seen crazy people in my life, but never one who believes birds have powers."
"I am the one who believe that birds have powers, but the king."
Chuck just stood there blinking, there was no way he could fight against that. "If I were you I would start running." Terence said. Chuck just sigh as he started to do what he was ordered. "The rest of you, follow me." Terence said and the birds followed him, leaving Chuck behind.
The birds next stopped at a field fill with like 100 little boxes or more. "Who's stop is this?" Jay ask. "This stop is Bomb's cause he's a Black Bird." Terence answer.
"Wait a minute, what my so call 'Power'?" Bomb asked.
"Your power is exploding" Terence answer.
"Exploding? But how will boxes help me unroll my powers?"
"Well you see in order to unroll your power you must develop your sixth sense, it maily helps you detect weapons or TNT. This is what some of the boxes are fill with. Your goal is to find the mini bomb and disarm it, that also comes with your power. Once you develop your sixth sense your power would easily come from getting angry."
Bomb just sigh, and step away from the group. Terence began once again to walk away and the rest of the birds follow. Matilda gave a small good-bye, but Bomb didn't seem to notice.
The birds then walked up to a wide ditch with trees on both sides. "Cool. Who's going to stop here?" Jay ask.
"You and your brothers." Terence answer.
"Cool, what's our power?" Jake ask.
"Your power is becoming one then becoming three again."
"Cool, cool, and how does that work?"
"Well, do you have the blue rock?"
Jake thought for a minute before answering, "You mean the rock we were born with?"
Terence nodded.
"Yeah, I got that rock. It's in my pocket." Jake answer and started to emptying his right pocket: a candy cane, rubber red ball, and a small blue toy car that was missing a wheel. "Wait," Jake said and started to emptying his left pocket, "Here it is!" He put the other stuff back in his right pocket.
"But how does this rock effect our power?" Jim ask.
"You'll see, Jake hold this rock and think about things that comes in one." Terence order.
"Um…Okay," Jake answer and began to think about things that comes in one. After a few seconds, his brothers disappear and he became a bit taller. "Cool!" Jake said, still holding the rock. "And the way to turn back into three is by thinking about things that come in three." Terence inform.
Jake started to think about things that came in three, his brothers reappear and he went back to his normal size. His brothers were what so ever dizzy, they couldn't seem stand up straight. "I'm guess this is why we need training." Jim said, still trying to focus his eyes.
Terence nodded, "The goal is for the three of you to reach the other side of the ditch by jumping across using the branches of the trees without getting wet. You must start as three and at the middle divide into three, and if any of you three do get wet, you must start again, understood?"
The Blues nodded.
"Oh and one other thing," Terence said before walking away, "You must have the rock on you at all times, without that rock your powers, no more." he then walked away leaving the Blues.
The last stop was the white bird training area. There were trees, tall naked trees, climbing trees to me. "So, what's my power?" Matilda ask.
Terence just looked at her and handed her a white book bag, "Here. You'll need this."
Matilda put on the book bag, but quickly fell. "What's in here!" She ask and open the book bag, "An egg?"
Terence shook his head, "It's a egg bomb, not a real egg."
"Oh," Matilda say, a bit calm now.
"Egg bombs are very useful at war, but very heavy as well. And it is said that white birds can carry large weight. The goal is for you to climb the tree without falling, that's not to hard, right?"
Matilda thought for a minute and answer, "No."
"Very well so I'm on my way." Terence said and left to check on Chuck.
Matilda sigh and zip up her book bag. She looked up and jumped a bit. Jay one of the Blue birds was standing right in front of her. "You're keep something from us, aren't you?" He ask.
"Wh- What?" Matila ask standing up.
"When Terence ask you your name, your voice was shaking. That means you were lying."
Matilda just looked away, "You- You wouldn't understand."
"Listen, I have a secret too. If you tell me your secret than I'll tell you my secret."
Matilda shook her head, "N- No."
Jay just frown and took a deep breath, "Me and my brothers aren't 17, you're 13. There I told you my secret so you got to tell me your secret."
Matilda's eyes wided, she turn to face Jay. She bite her lip and answer with her real voice, "Fine... I'm not a man, I'm a woman and my real is Matilda."
Jay just smile, "I have a female friend, finally."
"But," Matilda said, "You can't tell no one, and you got to call me Mark."
"I will keep your secret just as long you keep mine." Jay answer and ran off.
"I'll never gonna catch my breath." Chuck said as he run.
"Say Good-Bye to those who knew me." Bomb said opening an empty box.
"Boy, was I fool for cutting gym." Jake said holding from a branch.
"This guy got em' scared to death!" Jay said hiding from Terence.
"Hope he doesn't see right through me." Matilda said falling from the tree.
"Now I really wish that I knew how to swim!" Jim said holding on a branch so he doesn't fall in the ditch.
