AN: Hey, I updated a lot sooner! I got quite a bit of support so that made me happy and pushed me forward, so thank you very, very much! I hope you enjoy this story and forgive any typos I made, I just wanted to get this to you so much quicker than the last one. ENJOY! and pretty please, review! :D
Frank could scarcely believe what had just gone down five minutes ago, in his house! Dr. Martin had just claimed to be a sorcerer, and then made the claim that his dad was THE King Arthur of Camelot. To make matters worse, his dad believed it! To add to his shock, his mom was willing to support the idea too. I mean, none of them could remember their childhood or their teenage years, it was a little suspicious. Regardless, the idea of them time traveling was CRAZY! There was no way he was a prince. Still, if Dr. Martin thought he knew where Isabelle was, then, maybe the theory was worth a shot. I mean, what harm would it be if Dr. Martin did try out his theory? It wasn't like it would work.
Dr. Martin walked up to his house, but turned back to Alex, "Look, um, understand that medical school isn't exactly cheap. Neither are the medical bills for Freya, so my house is definitely middle class."
Alex rolled his eyes, "Martin, I know. If you had a mansion, I would be more than a little surprised."
Martin chuckled and opened the door, "Freya?"
Feliciana sat on the couch, looking paler than white chalk.
"Oh my!" Jen exclaimed.
Martin walked over and gently lifted his wife up to her feet. She stood shakily for a moment as she was supported by her husband.
"Let us go to the pool," Martin spoke softly, gently guiding his wife to the back of the house.
Frank couldn't help, but watch how gentle Dr. Martin was being with his wife. He found a strange pang in his heart. More than anything he wanted to be that kind of man… for Isabelle. Even though they were still high school seniors, he felt that she was the one. How he could explain that, he didn't know, but he wanted to tell her so badly.
Martin and Feliciana walked slowly to the pool, every step seemingly like it would be Feliciana's undoing. She was so incredibly sick, and poor Martin was at a loss at how to help. When they finally reached the edge of the pool, he lifted his wife carefully in his arms, and lowered her into the water. The moment she entered the cool water, she swam about, as though she was ailed by nothing.
Frank watched in amazement at the rapid change in Dr. Martin's seemingly frail wife.
"How is it possible she recovered so quickly?" Alex questioned.
Merlin frowned, "Well, she was the Lady of the Lake… she um, became that way after she got wounded, by…someone, which was fatal. I put her in a boat on the lake and set it on fire, to bury her. I guess her curse kind of preserved her somehow, but she lived away from me. However, when we fled to the future, I kind of broke some rules and took her here with me, to be my wife. Of course, she consented first, before I did that…"
"Wait, what curse?" Alex pressed.
"She was uh…'cursed to kill forever'", Martin explained.
"How?" Jen pressed.
"By being forced to take a certain form every night," Martin answered carefully.
"What was it?" Frank asked, growing excited.
Martin sighed in defeat, " A winged panther."
Alex's eyes widened open in horror, "Not the one that attacked Camelot?"
Martin gave a grim smile, "You remember."
"Oh, Merlin! Don't tell me it was me who…" Arthur groaned, "…gave the fatal blow…"
Merlin nodded slowly, "To be honest with you Arthur, I am afraid so."
Arthur groaned, "Oh Merlin, I am so sorry."
"Do not worry, Arthur," Merlin smiled, "I forgave you long ago."
Arthur looked down, looking more ashamed.
"Ok, well everyone, into the pool," Martin ordered.
Frank stared at Martin like he was crazy, which he was beginning to sincerely believe he was. However, Alex and Jen, wasted no time in jumping into the pool, despite their expensive clothes. Martin jumped in too, and they all treaded water waiting for Frank to jump in.
"There is no way I am jumping in there," Frank firmly stated.
"Suit yourself," Martin shrugged, "We will just go and get Isabelle by ourselves."
Martin began to mutter a foreign language, and his eyes turned gold as he stared into the water. The water began to swirl and foam as the small party began to disappear.
Frank watched in alarm, as his parents began to vanish. Anxious not to be left behind, he plunged into the water, barely catching to portal as they fell through time.
In a moment's time, all that remained of the small group was a tiny little ripple spreading out slowly across the pool, starting the chain reaction.
