Ivypool ran through the trees repeating Jayfeather's instructions over and over in her head Thyme, poppy seeds, comfrey, reeds, cobweb, dock, and marigold. She was concentrating so hard she didn't hear the wall patrol until it was too late. "Ivypool watch out!" She heard Spiderleg yowl. She tried to skid to a stop but her momentum was too great and she found herself sliding over the edge. I'm sorry Hollyleaf you died for nothing. she thought to herself. She braced herself for her impact assuming the worst but instead she landed on something soft and fluffy.
"Ommph." Ivypool opened one eye then the other she had landed on her back looking up she saw the edge of the hollow where she had fallen from. The lowest point next to the nursery. She hadn't heard Dustpelt's patrol because she had been so concentrated on remembering Jayfeather's list. Suddenly she felt something move under her. Suprised she rolled over unto her feet turning to see a ruffled looking Mousewhisker getting to his feet. She licked her paw drawing it across her ears bashfully. "I'm sorry M-" Mousewhisker interrupted her. "That was amazing! I've never seen a cat run that fast. why were you running so fast anyway?" he asked.
Ivypool was shocked she had expected to be reprimanded by the older warrior but she saw only amazment on his face she was so astonished it took her a second to realize what he had said. "Leafpool." She yowled turning and scampering across the clearing. She sidestepped Squrrielflight who had come over to see what had happened and ran straight into the medicine den. "Leafpool, Cinderheart's hurt. A tree limb fell and she pushed me out of the way it landed on her instead. Jayfeather is there with her but he needs thyme, poppy seeds, comfrey, reeds, cobweb, dock, and marigold." Leafpool nodded and turned to Briarlight who started towards the back of the den where Jayfeather stored herbs.
"Where is she?" Squirrelflight asked. "Near the windclan border, I think the storm last night weakened the branch ." Ivypool told her. "It's not your fault." Leafpool told her resting her brown tabby tail on Ivypool's shoulders. "How did you know I thought it was my fault?" She asked Leafpool. "Because you remind me of someone I knew once she liked to blame herself for everything bad that happened. This was not your fault neither was Hollyleaf's death."
"I huv de urbs" Briar light's mew was muffled by the bundle of leaves in her mouth. Leafpool took the bundle from the disabled tabby and looked expectantly at Ivypool. Ivypool pushed out of the den and headed towards the thorn barrier or what was left of it. She pushed through the remade thorn tunnel and satrted towards the clearing where Cinderheart lay probably still trapped helplessly under the branch.
