Suzanne Collins is the real genius behind it all.

Just a boy,

So nervous and afraid,

Twisting a rope,

No comfort or joy.

Just a girl,

So nervous and afraid,

Twisting her thoughts,

Her mind in a whirl.

Ages it seemed,

Can't sleep or relax.

Longing for each other,

Lonely, they screamed.

Ash and dust,

Death and destruction.

Nothing was left

But their love and their trust.

Quiet, so still.

The world it froze.

Simply the two,

A love you can't kill.

Just like an ocean,

Crash and enfold.

No words needed,

An embrace of emotion.

No one could doubt,

That the boy and the girl,

Held nothing but love…

Absolutely not doubt.

Maybe because this was my favorite part of the whole series, I really struggled with this poem. I might come back to either tweaking this one, or creating a whole new poem for this scene! At any rate, reviews would be nice:)
