Number 7 is now on its way….. see here it is lol{XD}(:
As I left the gathering place, I couldn't help but feel a sense of pride. I had barely been in StarClan, yet I had given Bramblestar his last life, and now I am heading back as an honored member of my new clan! I'm overwhelmed with excitement, and feel terrible when I run into another pale cat through my haze.
"Watch where you're going, youngster!" she yowled, and I quickly realized her tail was under my forepaws.
"I'm so sorry!" I hastily replied, removing my paws as quickly as possible, then ducking my head in shame. She cuffed my ear playfully.
"Ah, no need for that!" she replied. "You are Firestar, no?"
"Yes…" I mewled. "And you are?"
She cackled, clearly amused by my confusion.
"My name is Moonflower. I am Bluestar's mother." Bluestar's mother!
"I am honored to meet the mother of my noble mentor." I replied, feeling a sense of acknowledgement from the cat.
"Come, young Firestar. We have much to discuss." She bounded away, towards the grass fields in the middle of the clan lands.
"We do?" I called shakily after her.
She peeked back out of the ferns.
"Are you coming back with me or not?" She looked at my playfully. "I have something important to show you." She disappeared from sight once more.
"If you are as smart as they say you are, I'd suggest following me." She called over her shoulder, challenging me. Not being one to ignore a challenge, I sprinted after her into the ferns, being clueless about what to expect from the older cat.
We went to the edge of the cover, before a large slope leading to a field with daisies and ferns. It looked like a paradise, where any cat could lounge peacefully, not having to worry about anything. Somewhere that seemed to fit perfectly with my idea of StarClan from all the stories I had heard from the elders back in the forest!
Moonflower padded next to me, plopping down on her haunches and staring intently down at the bottom of the slope.
"Do you notice who is down there, Firestar?" she asked me. Catching my curiosity, I peered down, trying to catch a glimpse of what she had seen.
"I don't see anything." I replied meekly. She sighed and reached a paw over me, shoving my head in another direction.
"Not over there, furball!" she exclaimed. "Over here! Cats these days…"
I stared intently, beginning to make out three shapes in the field. I could make out Bluestar, Whitestorm, and another kit.
"I see Bluestar, Whitestorm, and a small kit…" I replied hesitantly.
"The kit it named Mosskit." She replied, clearly irritated. I started to rake my mind, trying to figure out what she meant by this.
"…Is that Bluestar's kit that died?" I asked, waiting for a shark retort.
"Yes!" she mewled happily. "Now can you figure out how Whitestorm is related to them?"
I shook my head. I honestly had no clue other than the fact that Whitestorm and Bluestar were extremely close when he was at the camp, but both perished early in his days as a warrior of ThunderClan. She shook her head, exasperated.
"Whitestorm is Snowfur's son." The look of confusion must have not left my eyes, for she sighed and continued, "Snowfur is Bluestar's sister? Ring a bell yet?"
I nodded, finally understanding.
"so Whitestorm is Bluestar's nephew?"
"You said it, youngster!" she replied, clearly excited that I had finally figured out the last piece to the puzzle.
"Snowfur died early after kitting Whitestorm, killed by a monster accident on the thunderpath. From then on, Bluestar took over the role as mother to Whitestorm, Whitekit at the time. She was the closest thing he had to family for a long time, Firestar. Or should I say, Rusty?"
He turned, puzzled.
"How do you know my real name?" He asked her. She laughed.
"Everyone knows your story." She mewed, "You are one of the most famous cats in StarClan history! You not only finished one prophecy, but many! The things you have done for your Clan, it's no wonder you ended up here. Why, if you didn't, I may as well have gone to wherever you were just to fetch you myself!"
"I didn't do that much." I replied, feeling shy. "I was only doing my duty to the clan as their leader.
She laughed again, and began to walk away, leaving me to watch the three cats alone.
"Where are you going?" I called out to her.
She turned, grinning ferociously.
"Going to play with my family. Now, run along youngster!" she waved a paw, then bounded in the direction where her family lie.
I turned to the other direction, heading off to find other cats. Oh how it was a joy to be with everyone once again. I went through the words, and sniffing for prey, scented a mouse. I dropped to my haunches, slowly sneaking up on my prey. I disturbed a leaf, and the mouse squeaked twice as a warning to others in the area. It took off, and I bounded after it. I caught up to it in a few paces, quickly sweeping it off the ground and killing it with a swift blow. I ate it quickly, seeing as it was dusk. When I finished, I licked my jaws, and looked around, quickly realizing I was no longer in the woods.
I saw a place where ferns were draped across a tree, firebugs dancing near the top branches, and lily pads floated in the small pond nearby. It almost looked like the place we had found for Leafstar all those moons ago.
Wait. It WAS the place that Firestar and Sandstorm had found for Leafstar in SkyClan!
When I realized where I was, I crouched low, waiting to see if there would be any visitors tonight. Eventually, the sun fully set, and I stretched my jaws in an enormous yawn. Boy, was I tired! As I waited, I soon felt the need for sleep become overwhelming, and I felt myself beginning to drift farther and farther away from the realm of reality. In no time, I was fast asleep.
