Let me be the first to welcome you to Oath's Christmas Special.
Roy: Hey I thought we agreed you wouldn't do this!
Me: Don't worry this special won't have rhyming.

Me:I swear. Now onwards with the story. See bottom for Author's message
It was the night before Christmas where our proud members of Oath laid in their beds fast asleep. Almost all of them had an extra someone that they had snuck into their room without the others knowing. In Richard's room, we find him asleep on the floor with Artemis cuddled up into him since his bed was not nearly big enough for the two of them.
In Roy's room we find him curled up around a part time assassin known as Jade; Artemis's sister. Said assassin held her knife clenched within her fist underneath the pillow that her head rested on. In Wally's room we find the only member of Young Justice with balls of steel resting peacefully on Wally's bed with Wally himself ontop of him.
In Virgil's and Richie's room we find two rather unknown girls in bed with them. Both having traveled all the way from Dakota to be with their special heroes. The lovely young lady in Virgil's bed sleeping soundly was Daisy Watkins with her short black hair and ebony like skin. Beside her was Virgil holding her close.
In Richie's bed we find Frieda Goren sprawled out over Richie's bed laying on said superhero. Her long brown hair was all over the place but Richie still slept soundly.
It was a quiet night until there was a large crash in their backyard. Immediately all of the superheroes in the house sat up from their previous sleeping positions. Richard looked at Artemis and both proceeded to grab some weapons while Conner and Wally looked at each other before going over to the door. Roy and Jade both looked at each before silently agreeing to deal with the potential threat.
Virgil and Richie looked at each other and nodded. They proceeded to remove themselves from their partners only to wake them. After having a quick conversation the four of them made their way to the door. All the bedroom doors flung open aside from Artemis's because she had been sleeping with Richard. THey all agreed to talk about the sudden rearange of sleeping partners later.
First they had a potential threat to deal with. They all made their way to the backyard only to see a sight that made them all doubt they were truly awake. A broken sled was laying in the flowerbed while an old man dressed all in red laid on the concrete patio.
"Is that who I think it is?" Wally asked in a low but dumbfounded voice. "I think it is." Artemis answered lowering her raised bow. Roy ever the cautious type silently ordered the members of Oath to surround the man leaving Jade and Conner behind to guard Frieda and Daisy incase this man truly was a threat.
Upon closer inspection they found the man was indeed who everyone thought he was. "It's Santa!" Wally practically yelled in surprise. Everyone looked at him and shushed him. "Richard check him for any possible injuries. Wally go prepare the medical bed in room 6." Roy ordered still slightly in disbelief. Richard knelt down while Wally dashed back into the house.
After closer inspection the man seemed to have a mild concussion and a broken wrist. That along with some pretty nasty cuts did not look good on the jolly old man. Soon enough they had transported him-ever so carefully- to the medical bed in Oath's H.Q.
Only when he finally had arrived on the bed did he awaken. "Ho HO H-Ouch!" The old man exclaimed grabbing his side. "Easy old man. You've got some pretty nasty injuries." Roy said pushing the old man back down in the bed. "He so did not just call Santa an old man!" Frieda whispered from her spot beside Daisy. "Um, I think he just did Frieda." Daisy whispered back hoping the angst filled leader didn't hear them.
"I thought Santa wasn't real; only a fairytale." Conner mumbled in disbelief. Santa tried to stand from the bed only to be pushed down by Roy once more. "Not so fast. You've got some pretty nasty injuries." Roy said once more. "But the children! I have to deliver the presents and I was only halfway through!" Santa declared with a fiery determination that only the jolly old man could have.
"But you aren't going anywhere old timer." Jade said crossing her arms over her chest. "I'm afraid that just won't do, Jade. If I don't deliver these presents all the children will be disappointed." Santa said causing Jade's eyes to widen. "How did you know my name?!" She asked in disbelief. Santa chuckled in response and with twinkle in his eye responded.
"BEcause I know all children good and bad."
If any of them had any doubts that this was truly Santa it went out the door right then and there. "But your in no position to deliver the presents and if you can't deliver the presents who will?!" Wally whined openly. Richard shared a look with Roy silently asking permission for something. "I do not know Wallace, if I cannot deliver presents then I guess Christmas is cancelled this year." Santa said with a sad look in his eyes.
"What about us?" Richard asked speaking for the first time that night. Santa looked at him curiously. "What about you Richard?" He asked as Richard smirked. "Why don't we deliver the presents for you?" Richard asked once more. "Ok sis, I think your bird has finally lost it." Jade said to Artemis who only sighed in agreement.
Santa however had a different opinon on the matter. "Well if you borrow my sled and the time disrupter, I assume it's possible." Santa said thoughtfully. Richie's eyes lit up when he said time disrupted. "Time disrupter?" He asked in awe. "OF course how else do you think I can hit all of the houses in the word in one night?" Santa asked with a small jolly smirk.
"Alright that only leaves the problem that we have no way of getting into their houses." Wally deadpanned. Almost as soon as he said that Richard, Jade, and Artemis all burst into laughter. "Whats so funny?!" He demanded turning to the trio. "Dude, you've got two former assassins and a former bat here. Do you really think it will be difficult for us to get into a few houses?" He asked with a small smirk.
"That's true but I'd prefer if you used some of my magic instead of using your skills." Santa said with a small smile. "Magic?" Virgil asked looking at the jolly old man. "Yes but first those outfits will not do the job." Santa answered holding out his hand. Without another warning he blew and a magic dust surrounded the group. When it cleared everyone was standing there dressed in christmas outfits.
For the superheroes they were dressed in a christmas version of their usual outfits. Nightwing's black now a light green with a white bird on his chest. His usual white mask was replaced with a red. Anything on Red Arrow's costume that wasn't red was turned into a light green except for his white mask. Warp's blue was changed to pure white and his blue sun was changed to a red one with all of his yellow changed to a light green.
Static's long cloak was changed to a red version similar to what the jolly old man wore. His black lightning bolt was turned green just to match the occassion. For Gear, his backpack was changed to a dark red and his green was changed to a darker green. His mask was even painted a light see through red.
Conner was simply wearing a christmas superman shirt along with some long red pants. For Artemis parts of her green outfit were dyed red. For Frieda and Daisy they merely had on female versions of Santa's outfits complete with a short skirt and everything.
Cheshire's outfit didn't really change except for some red decorated it as well. "OH my god!" Wally exclaimed in complete and total bliss. Richard's eyebrow twitched as he looked down at his outfit. "Hey look we finally got our very own evil leparchaun." Roy stated looking at his brother. "I am not an evil leparchaun!" Richard exclaimed to which Artemis chuckled. "Ya, your more like an evil elf." Artemis added to which everyone burst out laughing.
"Alright everyone. We've got the most important job of the year in our hands right now." Roy began looking at his fellow members. "Oath: Let's Save Christmas!" He declared to everyones cheers. Daisy looked at Santa with a look of sympathy. "Will you be alright here alone?" SHe asked to which the old man nodded. "Of course Daisy, afterall i am Santa Clause." He said with a jolly chuckle.
After having figured out how Santa's time disrupter worked Oath and the girls got to work delivering presents all around the world; each taking turns delivering them. By the time they got back and gave Santa back his sled it was merely an hour after they had left but it had been at least twelve for the members of Oath.
Giving his thanks Santa took his sleigh and took to the skies once more, letting the members of oath go back to sleep. Eight hours later Wally awoke with a large smile. "It's Christmas!" He shouted from the top of his lungs. After everyone was fully awake though some were grouchy from not having coffee yet. Mainly Richard and Roy they all still made their way to the living room only to see a surprise.
The living room was filled with large gifts that had not been there the night before. Each bore a name belonging to one of them. All of them addressed from the old man himself. For Frieda she got a brand new laptop complete with a direct feed to every major news network. She had practically squealed with joy while Richie muttered a silent thank you.
Daisy received a large paint supply along with the digital camera she had her eye on for quite sometime. The camera was filled with pictures of everyone in their special christmas outfits. Cheshire received some new custom made knives along with a pink baby blanket and a note that merely said 'you'll thank me later for this'.
Cheshire had merely raised an eyebrow at it. Conner was next mostly because of Wally's pushing. He got a special matter transporter that would allow him to teleport whenever he needed. Richie received a large scrapbook full of pictures from moments he had in Oath. Moments that there were no cameras around for pictures. It said it would always record his memories. Richie smiled sweetly at it.
Virgil received a holographic replica of his mom. He nearly cried in happiness since most of his pictures of her had been destroyed in a fire. It was apparently indestructible meaning he wouldn't be able to accidently break it. Wally received a device that would make any-type of food he could think off and never run out. Basically a lifetime supply of food.
Richard had received a framed Flying Grayson Poster along with a message from Jack Haley himself. He along with Virgil nearly cried at the gifts. Roy received a special bow that he had remembered seeing once. Upon closer inspection he realized it was an exact replica of Brave Bow's. He smiled grimly but held it proudly.
Then there was a final wrapped gift that once unwrapped was revealed to be a frame picture of all the Oath members standing proudly with Frieda, Daisy and Cheshire standing beside their respective lovers. There was also a note on the picture.
Dear Oath,
Thank you for saving Christmas. I hope you enjoyed your presents and I wish to let you know I have a back up plan now set in place, in case I am incapcitated for whatever reason. I call it Operation: Oath Saves Christmas. Merry Christmas and until next year.
Sincerely,
Saint Nick
Everyone laughed and smiled at the note the old man had written. and so ends Oath saves christmas.
Alright guys that's it for the christmas special and it wasn't horrible. Now I would've liked to have each member of Oath berate me like in my last special but I still have at least three more specials to write so I guess you'll have to settle for this. From all of us at Oath, I'm wishing you a merry merry Christmas. Ja Ne
