"So..aha-wow, I really-really don't know what to say right now," Peter admitted, scratching at his brown nest of a hair.

Kagome smiled, enjoying the way his hair flew in all directions.

"Me neither, but a hug would be a good start, ne?" the petite Miko suggested, taking a small step forward raising her arms hesitantly.

"Y-yeah!"

And like that, he swooped down and gave the transfer a big hug. He bit back a large smile as she giggled, tightening her arms around his waist.

"…It's really good to see you too, Kagome Higurashi," He could feel her smile against his chest, Peter was pretty damn proud. As lame as it sounded…and looked to his guardians, he had been practicing on how to pronounce her name correctly.

"And this is one of the best hugs I've ever gotten! And it's our first hug, Peter Parker!"

Peter couldn't resist the chuckle that left him. She had pronounced his name correctly but true to her native background, she emphasized his name differently. And definitely without the American lisp. It was charming and damn cute.

"Awwwwww…"

The sudden cooing had the two teenagers freezing and turning to look to the side. The secretaries were all staring at them, their eyes soft and adoring.

And like a match struck against sandpaper, Kagome's face brightened and flushed.

"E-eh…"

"U-Um, right, yeah. So you're done with paper…stuff. We're gone!" Without an answer, the sputtering brunette hustled the Japanese girl out the door. Dashing back after a second thought to grab her suitcase.

Now alone to the vulturing eyes of the secretaries, he gulped, running back out as the office cried out in laughter and salutations.

Out of the pan and into the fire.

Facing the heart-shaped face, Peter melted under her blue eyes.

"That was…embarrassing…"

"Yeah, I don't think I want to step in that place for a while…Soooo…let's have a tour!" Peter suggested, holding out an arm with flourish.

Smiling, Kagome slipped an arm around his and followed his lead.

"Welcome to New York, Kagome."

He found himself really loving saying her name out loud.

"Thank you, Peter-san."

She did too.
