I'm a Unicorn Without magic that can walk on clouds, why does everypony find that so hard to believe? Ok so I have mechanical wings that I can use like a Pegasus controlled by a spell my father Novus Invento created. They need repairing, but I just don't feel right without them on. I haven't seen my father in a few good years, and I never knew who my mother was, sometimes, I've wondered if I was an invention of my fathers, but that's stupid right! Ok, so now Introductions are out of the way, wait, I never told you my name! Well, I'm Stargazer Eclipse, an astronomer by name and astronomer by nature. I'm normally very shy, so when I first met him, I was shocked how easily I was able to talk to him.
I felt a sharp pain on my flank and looked behind me at a pile of cherry stones on the floor still freshly covered in spit, I knew I hadn't eaten any cherries, so when another comes flying out of a bush and hits me square in the forehead, it's only natural that you shout at a bush isn't it? "Come out and face me you cherry stone spitting brute! Don't you know it's really not nice to spit cherrystones." I shouted towards the bushes in the park looking out towards the library where I had just come from, watching as Twilight Sparkle levitated the elements back from the table she'd had them laid out on when I'd entered the library to the storage case next to the stairs.
"Me a brute? Well I never!" a mischievous voice wafted through the rustling bushes,
"Easy for you to say, you're not getting hit by cherry stones!" I returned, turning around again to head for home.
"And what might a little filly such as you be doing so far from Ponyville and so close to the Everfree?" I gasped as a figure rose out of the bushes and towered over me.
"Um… well… I… um… well… I was…" tongue tied I tried to stutter out my words but to no avail, The figure then bent over and regally introduced himself as the Draconequus Lord Discord.
"and a Who Might You Be?"
"I'm no-one." I meekly replied preparing to run towards my cottage on the outskirts of the Everfree.
"Miss Stargazer Eclipse, you are definitely not a "No-one" you are far more than that, and you are special to someone." Discord lifted my chin up to face him, "you are special to me."
"I don't even know you!" I shouted running towards my home. Bumping into someone, I stopped and fell back onto the floor.
"Well, let us go and talk over some chocolate milk then!" discord replied.
"I don't particularly like chocolate milk you know." I told him as I stood up and led the way to my cottage along the road.
"Well, I guess you've never had chaotic chocolate milk then!" He replied putting an arm around me, as we trotted down the road.
"We're here I guess." I replied as I opened the gate, heading into my well cared for garden; it was my Mothers pride and joy, before, well, before she left, my father took upmost care to keep it in tip top condition before he was called to Canterlot, or at least that's what I tell myself, he can't be dead, he just Can't!
"Nice place you've got going here Stargazer, could use a little chaos to spruce things up, but quaint, I like quaint." Discord replied making me aware that I had just invited a stranger into my home.
"Touch anything, and forget ever coming back." I retorted, come to think of it, had I said that to anyone other than the lord of chaos and disharmony, they'd have run away screaming, that's most likely why I have no friends… holy Celestia I'm such a loner!
"no sweat, I'll just conjure myself a seat, chocolate Milk?" he asked as a floating throne appeared along with a hovering table and chocolate teapot .
"um yes please." I meekly replied as I seated myself onto one of the floating chairs around the table.
"so tell me, why do your wings no longer work?" so I told him, sipping the chocolate milk, which was amazing by the way, everything, from how I have a horn but can't use magic, to the fact I can walk on clouds but am not a Pegasus, how my mother is no longer with us and my father is in Canterlot, or at least that's where he was headed, why I live so close to the forest, and finally, why I still wear my wings even though they no longer work.
"So how does this feel?" Discord asked me as I downed the last of my 10th glass of chocolate milk.
"How does what feel?"
"Your wings? I cleaned up the gears and gave them a little magic boost; I've also rebooted the mental connection to them, as that was wearing a little thin, can't have a Pegasus/Unicorn Hybrid without working wings can we?" I just sat there flabbergasted.
"Wow, Um, how do I say this?"
"a simple thank-you will suffice my little friend, although…"
"What!? Please tell me!"
Well, I have a little task, your friend Twilight sparkle and her friends are the elements of harmony, you my friend are an element of disharmony I have created a little bit of pure chaos, elements completely opposite to, yet rather similar to the elements of harmony. Which I have hidden inside 6 ponies, you being one, blah, blah, blah. You are what I would call the dis-harmonic element of Kindness. Anyway, as much as I'd like to stay and chat, I have people to see and places to go, however, I will leave you with this "when the call comes, from one you least expect, you must find the other five to battle a friend and a foe, but only with 12 can your battle commence, for without balance of harmony, and chaos together, can old foes be defeated and set free altogether." Call it a form of prophecy we should do this again sometime, Bye!" and he just disappeared, the table and chairs were gone, but on my own table in the corner, was a jug of chocolate milk, and a note.
"Dear Stargazer, as you liked my chocolate milk so much, have a jug which refills its self, Love Discord!", thinking on what had happened, I nearly swallowed the gem at the bottom of my glass, I didn't really pay much attention to it at the time, I kind of wish I'd studied it more.
