Day Six:
Lucy Evans (D11 F 14)
I wake up to the smell of smoke and ash. I open my eyes to see flames licking the bookshelf I'm behind! I lean my head around to see that my whole room's on fire! I push the burning bookshelf away, but burn my hand in the process. The pain is excruciating, but I have to get out of this fifth floor room fast.
I run over to the door as fast as I can. I try to kick it open first so that I won't burn my hand on the doorknob, but it's no use. I put my hand on the flaming doorknob and turn it. Now I can hardly stand the pain in my hand. I don't look at it, but I'm sure it's a gross, raw, red color.
As soon as the door is forced open, a fireball shoots at my head. I duck as quickly as I can, and it barely misses my head. Good think I'm so short or I would have been blasted in the face.
The hall is ablaze with fire, so I start running towards the stairs as fast as my feet will carry me. A fireball shoots at my legs from in front of me. I jump over it but it skims my feet, making them twinge slightly. It slows me down a little bit, so when a third one is thrown, I'm not ready for it. It grazes my entire left side. I scream from the pain, but I have to keep going. A fourth fireball is launched at me straight on, but my aching muscles don't allow me to move out of the way. I'm hit square in the stomach. I collapse to the ground. I surprisingly don't feel any pain from that last fireball. I just feel weak and disoriented. I gag as yesterday's dinner, as well as some blood, shoots out of my throat. I feel the world slowly slipping away as my vision starts swirling into blackness. "If this is dying, it's not so bad," I think as I breathe my last breath.
Kaylee Stuart (D8 F 13)
"Ahhh!" I scream as I wake up to a burning pain in my whole body. I wake up, and realize that the whole room's on fire; including me! I drop to the ground, and roll all around; something I learned to do at school. This puts out the fire on me, but doesn't extinguish the firery pain inside me. I scream and writhe in pain on the ground. Every inch of my body begs for relief from the pain that has tortured my body. And all I think about now as I lie on the floor is, "I'm going to die. I'm going to die."
In a way, I kind of deserve this. I lied, and then brutally murdered Evanna Rae. I now realize what a sick person I was when I did that. Evanna Rae was a sweet, innocent little girl who would never hurt a fly. And I killed her.
I killed her.
And now, I will die too
Charisma Dayton (D9 F 17)
I wake up to the sound of a cannon blast. I open my eyes and realize that my room is on fire! I dash out of the secret room behind the blackboard, and rush to the door. I place my hand on the doorknob, and jump back yelping. My hand makes a simmering sound, and hurts so much that I almost refuse to open the door to leave the room. I come to my senses in a second, though, and realize that if I don't get out of here, I'll die, so I place my hand on the doorknob again and turn it as quickly as I can. The pain is almost unbearable, but I need to get out of here.
As soon as I take my first step into the hall, a fireball is launched at my head. I jump out of the way, and it misses me by only a few inches. I run towards the stairs at the end of the hallway as countless fireballs fly at me. By some wonderful miracle, they all miss me.
I reach the steps and fly down them. When I'm halfway between the fourth and third floor, the fire stops. I don't mean that it goes out; it just doesn't continue on to the third floor. I assume that both the fourth and fifth floors are ablaze. It's so glad that I was on the fourth floor rather than the fifth, because I don't think I'd enjoy running down two floors of fire. As I reach the third floor hallway, I assess the damage done to my right hand. It's all red and blistery where I touched it with the doorknob, and it hurts like heck. Well, it's a good thing I'm a lefty.
I pick a room on the third floor hallway to go in. I make a mental note to see if there's a room behind the chalkboard in this one. I open up the door with my non-burnt hand. I gasp when I realize that this room is already occupied. Isaac is sitting in the center of the room with a turkey sandwich in one hand, and a spear in the other.
Isaac Lysander (D9 M 18)
I'm in the middle of my lunch when Charisma bursts into my room. She is covered in ash and sweat, and her right hand is raw red. It looks like she got burnt. "What happened?" I ask.
"A fire," she says. "On the fourth floor."
I let her catch her breath as I think. Finally I ask her, "Want to be allies? We'd make it farther in the Games with the two of us."
Charisma nods. "Sure," she says.
"What supplies do you have?" I ask her.
"I have a bow, twelve arrows, a length of rope, a blanket, and some food. You?"
I lay out my spear and three bags. "Woah, how'd you get so much?" she asks I'm awe.
"Stole it," I say. "I stole it from the careers." I quickly tell her my story of how my allies were killed, the careers took me in, I got fed up with them, and then killed Venom and stole some supplies.
"Wow," she says when I'm done. Then she explains about how two of her allies died in the bloodbath, and the other died on day two; all at the hands of careers. She says she's been alone on the fourth floor until the fire ignited. "Which reminds me…" she starts. Charisma walks over to the front of the room. She locates a tiny screw on the floor that I hadn't noticed before. She pulls the screw, revealing a room behind the blackboard.
"Wow," I say. This is wonderful. Now we have a spot to hide in. I see a brighter future in the Games now. I'm in the final eight, and I have an ally. What could go wrong now?
Fusion Sanders (D4 M 16)
Candy, Twilight, and I have been tribute hunting all morning, but we haven't killed anyone. The funny thing is, we heard two cannon blasts today, but we haven't seen anything suspicious. Right now, we're finishing up the third floor. We have enough time to hunt on the fourth floor, so we head back to the end of the hallway to where the stairwell is. I start walking up, but stop after a few steps. "Guys," I call down to Twilight and Crimson. "You have to see this."
Twilight and Candy walk up the stairs, and stop once they realize what I'm looking at. A few steps up, there's a wall of flickering, flaming fire. "Oh my gosh," Candy says. "This is probably how those two tributes died this morning."
"Yeah," I agree. "It seems hard to imagine that someone survived that."
"Should we go back to the cornucopia?" Twilight asks. "There's no where else to hunt."
"Yeah," I say. "Let's go."
We trudge down the stairs to the cornucopia. When we reach it, I spot Crimson, who was guarding our supplies. "Hey," he says in a bored voice. "How'd hunting go?"
"Not good," I say. "We didn't kill anyone, let alone spot them."
"You mean those two deaths I heard weren't you?" he asks, confused.
"Nope," I say, "but I think we know how they died." I tell him about the wall of fire we saw in between the third and fourth floors.
"Well it was definitely set off by Gamemakers," Crimson says. "Do you think it will spread?"
"Hard to say," I tell him, "but even if it did spread, we're on the first floor, so I don't think it will be a problem."
"Okay," he says.
In about an hour, the Panem Anthem begins. We first see the face of the girl from District Eight. It's about time she died. She only got a three in training. I'm actually very surprised she made it this far. The girl's face fades away, and another tribute appears. This one belongs to the girl from District Eleven. She was another young one, but I think she did much better in training. The girl's face fades away, leaving us in darkness.

Well, I decided it was time for the Gamemakers to step in, so a two story fire was born! I'm not sorry for killing off Kaylee, cause she killed Evanna Rae, but I did like Lucy a lot. Well, only one can win :-/ New chapters will be coming soon. I plan to wrap up this story in about three or so chapters, so get ready for some deaths! :-)
