Day Seven:

Charisma Dayton (D9 F 17)

I wake up to find Isaac sitting next to me. "Morning," I say.

"Good morning," he says. "I've been thinking for the last few hours, and I've come up with a plan to knock out some careers."

"Wonderful," I say as I bite into a cracker. "What's your plan?"

"Well," he begins, "nearly every day the careers go tribute hunting, and they leave their pile of supplies with only one career to guard them. Usually it's one of the weaker careers. The pair of us can easily overpower one career. We'll kill them, take some food and supplies from the pile, and scamper back here."

"That's brilliant," I say. "When are we going to go?"

"In a few hours," Isaac replies. "The careers normally sleep in, eat their breakfast, and then start hunting. We need to wait for that, because we may be able to overpower one career, but killing four would be a difficult task."

"Sounds good," I say. Do you want to take a nap now? I'll wake you in a few hours."

"Okay," he says. Isaac lays down, and falls asleep within seconds.

Simone Rose (D12 F 16)

I wake up to the smell of burning wood. I open my eyes. My room is on fire! Flames lick the window, the door, the floor, the fridge, and the walls, and soon, they'll lick me. I think it's about time the Gamemakers throw something at me. I've had too peaceful of a time.

I jump up, grab my bag, and run over to the fridge. I shovel some food from the fridge quickly into my bag, as the fire rises higher. When my bag is full, I run over to the door, and slam into it. The door gives way, and smashes open, but I've forgotten something; a ladder leads to this room, and I've just jumped out the door. I try to grab the edge of the doorway, but it's too late. I fall, head over heels, towards the ground. Splat.

Fusion Sanders (D4 M 16)

A cannon blast sounds, and I look at my fellow careers. We're feeding on breakfast right now. "Who do you think that was?" Crimson asks.

"Hopefully Isaac," I say. "He's probably our biggest threat right now. Who else is left, besides him?" I ask.

"Isaac's district partner and the girl from District Twelve," Candy replies. "I know Isaac's district partner was somewhat good, but I forget about the other girl."

"Wait, isn't she the one who killed Lydia," says Twilight.

"Oh yeah," I say. "We'll have to watch out for her. Right now, we're looking pretty good, as careers. There's four of us and only two others. I'd say the odds are in our favour. So, who wants to be on guard duty today?" No one answers. I didn't expect them to. "I think it's your turn, Twilight," I say.

"Okay," he grumbles.

I grab a handful of throwing knives as Crimson and Candy each grab a spear. I'm excited for hunting, but I'm not sure we'll find much today. The two remaining tributes obviously have good hiding spots, but you never know. We might get lucky.

Isaac Lysander (D9 M 18)

Charisma shakes me awake. "Do you think it's time?" she asks. "It's been three hours."

"Yeah," I say. "The careers will probably have started hunting." We grab our weapons; Charisma picks up her bow and arrows as I snatch my spear. We're leaving our bags here, because we plan to return here after we do our job. We'll also have a few more bags to carry, so we want our hands to be as free as possible.

We climb out of our room behind the blackboard, and sneak into the hall. We climb downstairs to the ground floor. We sneak through the first floor, and eventually reach the cornucopia where the careers have been pigging out. We walk over to the open door, and peek inside. We see Twilight inside, his back facing us. "Perfect," I whisper. "That's Twilight. He's the weakest of the four remaining careers."

"How should we kill him?" Charisma asks.

"I think we should kill him from here," I say. "It's best if we kill him before he knows that we're here. Then he can't yell for help or anything."

"Do you want me to get him with my arrow?" Charisma asks.

"Sure," I reply. "Do you think you can get him from here?"

"I think so," she replies.

Charisma stands in the doorway and loads her bow. She pulls back on the string, focusing intently on the back of Twilight's head. After a few seconds of concentration, she lets go. The arrow whizzes through the air, and finds its mark, but it's a little too low. The arrow hits the bottom of Twilight's back. He pulls it out, blood leaking everywhere, and turns around to look at us. Fear shines in his face. He's dying, but not quickly enough, so I run inside the room, and hit him with my spear. Twilight's body thuds to the ground as a cannon booms. Charisma and I run over to the pile of supplies, grabbing bags as quickly as we can. I grab a new spear, because I really don't feel like pulling the one out of Twilight's body. As we dash away from the crime scene, out of the corner of my eye, I see Twilight's body get sucked up through a hole in the ceiling.

Charisma and I slowly, but quietly, scurry up the steps to the third floor. However, when we're halfway between the second and third floor, a wall of fire stops us. The Gamemakers have moved the fire down to the third floor to push us closer together. "Should we go to the second floor?" Charisma asks.

"Yeah, I guess," I say. We walk back down to the second floor, and hurry into the first room on the left. Charisma finds the screw in the floor and pulls it to open up the room behind the chalkboard. We clamber in, and I close up the little door with the other screw. "Well that went better than I expected," I say.

"Yes," Charisma replies. "We killed Twilight and didn't see the other three careers. But, now the third floor's gone."

"That's okay," I say. The Games will probably be over in a few days anyways. We're in the final five. Let's just hope they don't get rid of the second floor too.

Crimson Barley (D6 M 18)

We finish searching the last room on the second floor, and head over to the stairwell. However, when we're halfway up, a wall of fire stops us. "Wow," says Fusion. "I guess the Gamemakers decided to extend the fire. Well, we might as well get back."

Candy, Fusion, and I trudge down the stairs. We walk back to the Cornucopia. When we reach the room, the first thing I notice is that Twilight is nowhere to be found. "Where's Twilight?" I ask.

"I don't know," Fusion says. "Maybe he's in the bathroom."

"Look at that," Candy says as she points at a smear of blood on the ground. It still looks wet. You don't think..." she trails off.

Fusion walks up to the blood with his knife. He dips the tip in, and raises it back up. The knife's tip is now dotted with red blood. "It must be Twiligt's," he says. "But who do you think killed him?"

The answer comes to me quickly. "Isaac," I say. "It had to be Isaac. He killed Venom. He's probably got all of us careers on his hit list."

"But we can't count out the other two tributes either," says Candy. "They're both capable of killing as well."

"Well either way, we've got to watch our step from now on," Fusion says. "The two remaining tributes are obviously experienced killers."

All of a sudden, the Panem Anthem starts to play. The first face we see is Twilight's. Next, we see the face of the girl from District Twelve. She was the one who killed Lydia. That means that only Isaac and his district partner are left. Suddenly, an idea hits me. "Guys, you don't think they're allied, do you?"

"I doubt it," Fusion replies. "I think Isaac's proved that he doesn't like allies."
