Chapter 9

There was a long moment of silence until Zerom and Death calm downed and continue to hear each other and then Death said.

"Zerom…I trust you so if you say it's true then I'll believe you for now but as soon as they act up or I get a bit of suspicion their gone. Understood?"

"Understood." Zerom agreed

Zerom turned around to see the witches' barley in tears and before he could consider what their cause of their tears was, they all jumped on top of him thanking and hugging him with such glee.

"I told you all I never break a promise." Zerom said

Then Zerom stood up while Excalibur popped out and said.

"You're something special you know."

"Oh! Hey there Excalibur you've been pretty quiet lately, what's up?" Zerom questioned

"Just observing you for the past hours and let's just say you're quite remarkable of how you see everybody as an individual being capable of motions." Excalibur explained

Zerom just laughed and revealed his reasoning for his belief that if anything feels pain and suffering then they must be a living organism as that's one thing we all feel. With Zerom saying that he remembers that he was supposed to meet up with someone very important and then says his good byes and heads off. Zerom is very eager to meet up with his friends (some more than others) but when turned the corner he made eye contact with her and tears started to appear on her face as they rushed towards each other colliding in a hug.

"I thought you were dead…I was so scared." Tsubaki whimpers

"I'm ok…I told you that I would come back" Zerom says while wiping the tears off her face as she smiles with contempt.

Zerom and Tsubaki exits Death's building and meets their remaining friends out in the court yard as they welcome the both of them to relax with them. They all began to sit back and enjoy each other's company that even Excalibur was having fun while Zerom and Crona were getting to know each other more and more. Zerom told everybody the news about the good witches and how they might even start teaching here but to no surprise he gets the same reaction from them just as the same as Deaths but not Tsubaki she just smiled.

"If you work here there wouldn't or shouldn't be any reason why witches cant." Tsubaki tells Zerom

They all thought about it and came with the same conclusion as Tsubaki but they all just laughed and continued to have fun and everything was at peace. And yet to Zerom he doesn't remember the last time he has ever felt so much happiness and it's all thanks to his friends by his side. With Zerom saying goodnight to everybody and hugging Tsubaki as a good bye he heads back to his house until he gets requested to come back to Deaths dorm immediately. He arrives at Deaths room and seeing all of Deaths skilled weapons and meisters gathered around but from the start he knew something was wrong, terribly wrong was about to happen. Zerom was then informed how there was going to be a big invasion of keshins and the academy two days from now, early in the morning, that they wanted Zerom to help and be on their side during this attack but without question Zerom agreed.

As he walked away to return to his house the same thought goes through his mind with the war and he was extremely sad since that he was forbidden to tell anybody of the news. Zerom opens his house door and closes it behind him to only meet Excalibur and then proceeds to tell him what was about to happen but Excalibur only wonders why is Zerom depressed. Excalibur asks what the source of his distraught is but Zerom only frowns and says.

"I decided that were going alone to protect everyone…to protect Tsubaki!"
