"B-but that's not fair!" Evangeline exclaimed as she looked at North who was sitting across from her.
"Iz fair, mandatory for all Guardians. You have no choice." North replied as the others nodded with agreement.
"I'm not a Guardian!"
"Officially." Bunny corrected. "But you still have to go."
"Wwwwhhhhyyyyyyyyy?" Evangeline asked stretching the syllable.
"Because we are legendary spirits so we must go!" Jack said with a smile and with his fists on his hips, which earns him a roll of the eyes from Bunny.
"The reason why is because we are the guests of honor." Bunny corrected.
"Still!"
"No more protests! You are going, either dragged or with will!" North said.
"Besides this year's theme is Masquerade! I mean who doesn't love Masquerade balls!?" Tooth asked excitedly.
Sandy made some of his signs, "I know right!"
Evangeline just sighed knowing there was no why out of it. Besides it was only a Masquerade Ball... which 98% of the population of male spirits would attend.

A grand salon filled with millions beyond billions of spirits danced, talked, and flirted with each other as music played in the background. In a high balcony was a 4'11 feet 12 year old male spirit with black hair with streaks of every firework color. His eye color was black with streaks of neon colors. He was wearing a dark T-shirt that said 'HAPPY NEW YEAR!' along with black skinny jeans that had neon fireworks all over it. He had every other Happy New Year accessory on him, including a small black mask with fireworks, champagne, and "Happy New Year" signs over it. Even though his physique was young he was one of the oldest spirits in the room, why you ask, because he was Year, the spirit of New Years.
He grabbed a microphone and spoke in it with a rapper's voice, "YO YO! LADIES AND GENTLEMENS! Thanks so much for coming to the 2018 New Years party! Now like every year it is my duty to make each party unforgettable and unique! Like for example this years theme is Masquerade Ball! So let's see what surprises I come up with during the night. But before we go anywhere let me introduce you to our guests of honor... THE GUARDIANS!"
Years stepped aside, as the crowd cheered and applauded, to reveal a large opening wooden door behind him, out came the Guardians each dressed formally. North wearing a very formal red robe with black designs and with black boots, the mask has a square-ish jaw, large chin, and no mouth, it covered his whole face. His Bauta mask was black with red and gold designs. Sandy was wearing a golden suit with a bow tie his mask was joker-like, colorful, with a short nose and arched brows. His Arlecchino mask gold with red and black designs. Bunny was wearing a green suit but only the top part, with a golden tie. His mask was green with Easter and spring color designs, his mask was designed just for him because it was like the Volto mask, covering his snout and entire face. Tooth was wearing a beautiful elegant pink dress with sparkles the length up to her knees. Her mask was pink and purple with sparkles she was wearing a Pantalone mask. It features a sizeable nose that looks like a beak and slanted eyes, but she made it look beautiful like a painting. Jack was wearing a cobalt suit without a tie or bow tie. His mask was a royal blue Colombina, which means it covers his eyes, cheeks, and nose, with white snowflake designs.
"Now! Now! Now!" He said to quiet the spirits. "If the rumors are true I'm pretty sure there is a Guardian-to-be! Now let me introduce to you... Evangeline Corragio!"
He pointed to a door and Evangeline appeared as the spirits again roared with welcoming. Evangeline was wearing a long ankle high red dress, including red elbow length gloves, and black high heel shoes. Her hair was fully straightened and loose, her mask was the Colombina but unlike Jack's mask it was more like a Vintage Phantom Mask that was black and you could see her face underneath. (I suggest you look it up because I can't describe it.) She smiles shyly and waves as she rejoins the Guardians.
Before she realizes it Years has an arm over her shoulder and speaks into the microphone, "wow honey! You get lovelier every year! Now I don't want to be a party pooper but please, don't terrorize her, any one remember last time?" He asked and the crowd winced, "yeah, so lets all be nice and enjoy this party!"
With that he let her go and the Guardians started conversing with other spirits. Though as soon as they went on already a few guys were calling to Evangeline she dashed around fast trying to act as if she couldn't hear them until she ran into someone, that someone being Jack.
"Opps! Sorry, I was playing Keep Away with some guys." She apologizes, but Jack just laughs.
"Huhh, it looks very fun." He muses when they all tumble over each other resulting the fruit punch, cocktails and some cheese snacks to fall over them, this causing both to laugh silently.
"Umm... can we walk around together?" Evangeline asks hopeful.
"Sure, but what about your playmates?" He grins as he points a thumb to the spirit waterfall of fruit punch.
"Ehh... I'll play later... lets go!" She grabs his hand and rushes them over to someplace else.
An hour passes that they have been conversing before Evangeline squeals and runs over to two male spirits.
"Evangeline! Long time!" One greets, he has crazy hair with different colors and has some of the strangest clothes ever. For a mask he had a horse mask, he looked like a typical teenager who loves parties.
"Evangeline! I have missed you, I have been so lonely without you!" This one was bald and had sunglasses he was wearing a black suit with a tie and his mask was Volto with white and black designs. If you looked a him you would say he was in his thirties.
"Animal! Pitbull! It's been so long!" She hugs them both and they converse excitedly before Jack clears his throat.
"Oh Jack this is Party Animal, Spirit of the Party" she points to the crazy haired teenager then to the bald guy "and this is Armando Anthony, but I call him Pitbull. He is the Spirit of Rap Music." She introduces them and they shake hands.
"Anyways like I was saying to Pit, 'this party sucks!' It's very boring!" Animal comments.
Evangeline thinks for a while before smirking, "hey Pitbull remember CODE 12?"
Pitbull smiled, "of course! Man I love that CODE!"
"Well then how about we unleash it?" She smiles as Pitbull and Animal both agreed excitedly.
"Alright then, Animal get the music ready, Jack tell Years that we are going to have a surprise, and Pit come with me."
"DALE!" Is what Pitbull says before they went to their places.
"YO YO YO! So how are we enjoying the party so far?!" He waits for respond and the crowd cheers loudly. "Well that's awesome because I too-" He is cut off by Jack who whispers into Years' ear. Slowly the frown that had adorned Year's face spread into a smile. "Now would you look at that! Our first surprise is coming up in just a few seconds please enjoy!" With that Years left and the ball room lights dimmed until coming to a low light.

The musical notes of instruments played softly and suddenly out of nowhere Evangeline was sitting on a couch with a strange hair style and clothes. Then Pitbull was sitting on a chair with some girls around him. Soon it was changing like one moment they saw Evangeline and the next she was wearing different outfits and switching places with Pitbull.
Pitbull:

Evangeline:

Everyone kept dancing and clapping, others were even howling, doing cat calls, and whistling.
"Woah! Woah! Woah! Ladies and gentlemens, I don't know 'bout you but that was hot! HOT! HOT! Thanks so much Pit and Evangeline! Now lets enjoy the rest of the party, people!" Years finished and went back to his social life as Pitbull, Animal, and Evangeline talked and laughed. But not even a minute passed before Evangeline's "playmates" came back, this time with more friends.
"Umm... guys I'll be back soon just gotta... you know." She said pointing to the admirers behind her as she started walking away, now in her regular clothes.
"Pfft! No problem! Just come back soon." Animal said as Pitbull nodded.
As she kept speed walking she passed the Guardians. "Oh hey guys I have to go but you will see me soon alright. " She cut them off from their compliments. "Too much testosterone, need fresh air, I'll be back by lets say... 11:45?" She asked hopefully, and she was lucky because they all agreed and with that she left.
"Vell" North started, "I did not expect that from her!" He started chuckling.
"Yeah, I thought the Sheila would lay low but anyways that was one hell of a good show!" Bunny commented as the others nodded.
"I hope she's alright though. After all she's got a horde of guys after her." Tooth said.
Sandy made an image. "Yes, but what if she doesn't come back?"
"Hmm... we can just go find her?" Jack said as the others agreed.

It has been at least two hours since Evangeline had left but it was still early. Jack awkwardly conversed with some spirits until he decided that enough conversation was enough and went to the ceiling. He was icing and frost the corner when he spotted a karaoke poster.
"Oh what the heck!" He said quietly to himself. "I'm bored, might as well do something, besides I'm talking to myself..." he sighed as he made his decent to the stage where Years was. "Yep, I'm definitely bored."
As he reached there he tapped Years' shoulder. "Hey could I sing a song?"
"Sorry Jack but our set was been misbehaving." Years said sadly as he turned his attention back to the karaoke set.
Jack sighed and turned around starting to walk back across the stage when suddenly a bright light clouded his vision and he froze. No body seemed to notice until soft music played. By the time the spirits looked at him he was messaging his temples with a confused look. As the music entered his ears he walked up to the end of the stage and sang. The bright light, which was the Moon's rays, only enveloping him. He didn't catch the sight of Evangeline when she walked up next to the Guardians who were several yards away from the stage and gaping at him.
(Alright in the poll I put up. The one with most votes was 'yes but with translation.' Now the other song I had in mind was english but it was not romantic. Suddenly out of nowhere a girl came out. She had beautiful long curly blonde hair, with pale skin and green eyes and was wearing a light peach and light gray Colombina mask that covered her left forehead. On the left side were a few peach and orange feathers, her dress was floor length and light peach. The dress had a Sweetheart Neckline, which had a few white jewels, and had two light gray straps that was held behind her neck. The dress had layers, the first layer was light peach and was almost see through and the second layer was the same color but wasn't see through. She seemed to be wearing high heels, and when she took a large step it was confirmed. She was wearing peach high heels. She also had peach shoulder length gloves that almost reached her shoulder. She slowly walked to him and stopped at, at least 12 feet away from the stage as her mouth opened.
Girl-

Then both Jack and the blond slowly walked to each other until there were no more feet between them.

As Jack finished his last note they were both leaning towards each other's lips. When they were a centimeter from touching the spirits roared with the loudest applause of the night. That was when the blonde and Jack opened their eyes and realized that 1- the song was over and 2- they were very close to kissing the each other.
Before Jack could even react the blonde quickly walked to the door and when Jack called out to her she grabbed her dress and tried to run. Jack hurriedly went after her and as the Guardians and Evangeline looked on, confused, they stopped clapping and went after the spirits.

"Hey! Wait!" Jack yelled as he followed the girl. "Please, stop! I just want to ask you something!" But the girl didn't respond as she turned a corner... with a dead end.
The panting blonde looked at the moon through the large window and turned to him as she straightened herself. That was when the Guardians and Evangeline arrived.
"What does thy young man, want be answered by thee?" She asked him in an Old English voice.
Jack who was recovering asked, "how did you know that song?"
The girl replied, "one does not know all of thy life's questions."
Jack sighed, "can you please drop that voice. I know it's fake."
The girl rolled her eyes, "fine!"
"Know answer me... please!"
The girl thought for a moment, "how did you know that song?"
Jack just stared at her, "you're Eveanna. Aren't you?"
The Guardians, minus Evangeline and Sandy, gasped.
The girl widened her eyes, "of course I am not!"
"Yes, you are! I know my Eveanna! No one knows that song besides me and her. It's impossible that you know that song!"
The girl chuckled lightly, "umm... music video?"
Jack walked up to her, "please... confirm it with me. Your Eveanna... yes?"
The blonde stood there as she shook her head and with a saddened expression looked down.
"Yes... you are." Jack took his hand and lifted her chin.
As soon as his hand lifted her chin an their eyes meet, MIM's powerful light clouded their eyes.
When the light disappeared there was no one in the hall.
Not even the Guardians.
Not even Evangeline.
Not even Jack.
And especially not even the blonde girl.
OK so few things... I could NOT resist using one of my favorite rappers as one of the spirits! LOL Also for the New Year Eves spirit... I had nothing... so I made him 12! LOL Anyways I hoped you enjoyed this fic!
