Chapter 22:
"STOP!" With a sudden gust of winds, the door burst opened. The blacked haired man halted his movement and glanced to the side. Misaki slowly opened his eyes trying to digest the situation. He already surrendered to his fate, willing to die for his Usagi.
Haruhiko chuckled before spoke "Finally, I was waiting for you… dear brother…" The man got up from the bed, casting a quick spell to dress up. Misaki glanced to the door and his eyes wide in happiness. His Usagi is here!
"Misaki… you jerk… Leave him alone! He does not have anything to do with this! He just a human, you bastard!" Usagi drew out his sword and pointed it to his brother. His black sword somehow glowed in the dark room. Haruhiko just chuckled.
"Well, let end this, shall we? It's rather dragging me nut. All in my life, I had to suffer the humiliation as useless brother to you. You who expected to inherit the throne although I'm the oldest son. " Haruhiko laughed an evil laughter before casted a spell, summoning his loyal sword. His familiar slithered out from the darkness of the night. A raven Boa snake with yellow piercing sharp eyes, hissed to the scent of the other man in her direction.
"Meet my familiar, Sofea. I bet you never see her before… a prefect name, right?" Haruhiko just petted the snake and she just hissed in respond. Meanwhile, Misaki gathered his cloth and dress up. He needed to escape to Usagi-san without alerting the black-haired man. Suddenly, he heard a faint voice from the back. He turned around and just shrugged it as his own imagination. However when a small gust of wind revealed a blue little fairy, he knew that this is not a trick of his mind.
"Misaki-sama, let me help you. Stretch your hand and wait." Misaki followed the instruction and in a blink of the eyes, the blue fairy swirled around him with blue flame before finally she sat on his hand. A tattoo of a butterfly immerged from his skin and his gasped in surprise.
"Now, I'm you familiar, master. I will do anything for you." The small fairy smiled to him.
Meanwhile the fight broke up. Usagi-san launched an attack using his black sword. He casted a cutting curse but it was dogged by the man. Haruhiko casted a shadow spells, trying to trap Usagi-san. However, Usagi-san managed to dodge the attack by jumping to the air. He canted a quick fire spell, spurting a hot flame, which burned in contact of a body. Haruhiko managed to dodge but the spell hit his left arm. He winced in pain but he did not show it clearly on his face. He canted a wordless charm and healed some of the burn.
With a swish of the black sword, Usagi-san put his sword near the neck of his brother.
"It's seem mother luck is not on your side, brother." Usagi-san smirked.
Haruhiko just smirked back and canted in silent.
"You're wrong, my dear brother. I do not need luck to defeat you. I just need power." With that, a furry of black arms came out from Haruhiko's shadow and bind Usagi-san to the floor, making him immobilized. Misaki who was watching gasped in panics. Usagi-san!
"Damn it." Usagi-san struggled to break free but failed. He knew that this spell is hard to counter and he never managed to break free of this spell once. He had to think fast.
"Not so lucky, are you?" Haruhiko pulled the sword up and ready to strike.
"It's seem, I won little brother." The second, before the long sword penetrated into Usagi-san, a blue beautiful dagger come flying across the air, penetrating Haruhiko's right shoulder. Haruhiko cried in pain, the sword release, falling to the floor. In this split second, Usagi-san was released from the binding and pointed his sword back to the man. He glanced to Misaki who stood frozen with his hand extend in the air. It clicked his mind that the dagger was thrown by Misaki. He smiled to Misaki, who noticing it, immediately letting his held breath. He slumped to the floor.
Usagi-san casted a binding spell to Haruhiko and dropped his sword.
"Brother, please listen. I know you hate me. I don't blame you as I once hate you too but… Misaki taught me that (Glancing to his love) brotherhood could be a pleasant relationship. I don't ask you to understand this but I wish you to do not hate me. After all, you are the only brother I have." Haruhiko stared at his little brother. He knew that deep in his heart, he still cared for his brother but his desire for power and acknowledgement overpowering the feeling.
"You see, Haruhiko-san… you were lucky to still have a family member. I lost everyone who I considered family and I regretted for not love them more before they died. I never told anyone but I hated my parents once as they always busy with their business. However, after they died because they rushed home when I had a fever, I could not help myself for feeling selfish like that. My brother taught me how to love someone unconditionally and he the one who taught me to forgive yourself and someone although it's hurt. Every day, after he died, I always wished for him to be alive. I missed him very much and I really do not want for you to feel what I felt." Misaki gave the man a small smile. He knew that Haruhiko loved his brother but sometime it's need a realization to know love.
"Brother, I hoped you understand us. I never want to held grudge against you and although you still hate me after this, I just hope I can see you again before I die." Usagi-san canceled the binding spell. Haruhiko slowly rose up while clutching his right arm and took out the dagger. He looked to Misaki and Usagi-san back to back and could not help a small smile to grace his face.
"You were lucky, brother…" With that, Haruhiko disappeared into the thin air. Misaki smiled to the space where Haruhiko stood earlier. No one knew that the dagger actually from his blue fire familiar. It infused a little bit of his magic, making Haruhiko traceable for him. This way he will know if the said man in the Usami's Kingdom. But for now it's time to go home. Usagi-san pulled the brunette and hugged him.
"Are you ok?" Usagi-san asked after breaking the hug.
"I'm fine, Usagi-san. Let go… it's time to go home." Misaki pulled Usagi-san and they walked side by side, with Usagi-san slithered his arm around Misaki's waist. It was already morning as the sun finally casted upon the kingdom. The war is finally over.
After that, the duo reunited with the others. Misaki burst in tears when he saw Nowaki is alive, while Onodera ran and hugged the younger brunette. Takano came to the view, smiling when he saw his little lover hugging Misaki. He patted Usagi-san's shoulder, congratulated him in silent. Their attack plan was a success and the kingdom fall to their hands.
The two semes could not help their smile to spread when the two young lover chitchatting happily. They could not ask for more.
