As the days drew on everyone became more on edge. We had have a couple of days were the snow fell but none were it stuck to the ground. I continued to practice strengthening my shields the only difference was that Edward was now a part of it. The day that I had told him he freaked out because when he tried to sneak up on me I was meditating in our meadow. I was so engrossed in what i was doing that I didn't realize that Edward was about to pounce. When he did he hit my physical shield and was propelled into the trees surrounding our meadow. When he recovered he appeared at the tree line, his face was wrinkled with worry and fear because he couldn't get to me. At first he told me that he thought that the Volturi had arrived earlier than expected with a new member of their guard who had some kind of shield. When I dropped my shield I raced over to him before he did anything drastic. When I said that I was sorry he asked why? I knew that I couldn't hide this from him any longer and so I began my tale from when we first found out about it to when accidentally I launched him into the trees.

We were currently laying in each others arms looking into the embers that lay in the dying fire. Alice had called earlier saying that it was time. She wasn't worried about our standing point with the Volturi but I was, not only for Edwards safety but for everyone that was standing with us. What if my shields failed under pressure. Even after I practiced for weeks on end what if I used them so much? that they somehow disintegrated, I mean I'm only human so there could be a time limit with these things. I expressed my concerns to Edward and he keep reassuring me that everything would go according to plan but I still couldn't shake the feeling. After what felt like forever the clock chimed 2:00 pm, it was time to head out. I leaped on Edwards back and after making sure I wouldn't fall off like last time he shot off through the forest. Shortly after I began to get a headache as the trees passed by in a giant green blur. I nestled my head in Edwards neck taking in his scent to calm my nerves. Seconds later we broke through the trees to see all the others lined up in 5 rows. Carlisle was in the front of the group with Esmé by his side. I could see Jane, Alec, and Felix standing with the rest of the Cullen's behind Carlisle. The rest of our friends we lined up behind them. We made our way to the front of the group. Alice was the first to embrace me. She whispered in my ear that everything would be fine. When I said my hellos to everyone we waited. Alice kept checking into the future for the Volturi to see when the exact moment of their arrival would be. Then a fierce growl ripped through Edwards body I looked up at him and saw his eyes fixed on the tree line in front of us. That was all the confirmation that I needed to know that the scum bags of Italy had arrived. I first saw them as their black cloaks emerged from the dense forest. 3 Vampire stepped out of the trees followed by the rest of the guard I knew that those 3 were Aro, Caius, and Marcus. Each was dress in red, Black and gold. Each had a black cape on with the hoods pulled over their eyes so that their mouths and noses where only visible as it kept their eyes hidden.

When we first had learned that the Volturi was coming and Jane and the boys sided with us they burned their caps and melted their crests but not after I had my fun with them. I borrowed Felix's because it was the biggest. I made some changes by cutting the cape into bat wings so that I could play batman and robin. It was fun whiled it lasted but it was even more fun as we watched those babes burn. I expanded both shields over our group and when the Volturi came to a halt.

"Carlisle I hate to have this come to this but our secret is imperative and this human is a threat against it. I can not have her living and since you failed to change her when she first found out make it even a greater betrayal and the fact that 3 of my guards have joined you is revolting." Aro spoke

"I am to, but the fact that you would go against one of your sacred laws is also revolting to me and the ones that stand with us today. You and your brothers created that law so that no one would have to go through what Marcus had. And now you come here seeking on destroying my sons mate is very troubling to me. We gather here Aro because your time in up on this earth and your rule has to end."

"No Cullen your time and your friends is up, we plan to be here for a very long time" Caius hissed through clenched teeth.

I looked over to Marcus to help us because he had gone through what his brothers were trying to do to Edward and me, but he had the same angered expression as his brothers. I thought that he would at least try to reason with the others so that lives could be saved. But again he stood still and glared into our souls with utter hatred.

"Then so be it Aro but you will fall on this field today and the Romanians will take back their place as the true leaders of the vampire world."

With that said the front row of the Volturi sprang into the air and across the grass to were we stood. The fight had begun and only one would pro vale.

Omg I'm am so sorry I have had no time these past months I had work, school, fucking stupid math teachers that I had to deal with and it has sucked. I will update asap so I don't leave your guys hanging as long as I had before cause I know its a pain in the ass when an author doesn't update for a long time and you just want to keep reading. I hate that to so your not alone but I really had no time.
