Hello everyone! Look, an update a day early! (or a week late) I just thought I'd be nice and update a day early because I'm going to try to get the next chapter out by Christmas! (Because I'm on Winter Break!) Sadly though there is probably only going to be a few more chapters :( But! I'm going to start another story! So watch me for more!
Last time…
"You're mine little halfa. I was the one who killed you parents in the first place!"
Lady Vanish fell to the ground, her words and power still dancing around Danny's head.
When Danny opened his eyes they were the bloodthirsty red eyes or Dan.
A deep laugh rumbled through the dark room. An evil smile appeared on Danny's face, one that sent chills down your spine. You could see fangs gleaming in the dim lights.
"Danny! Snap out of it, you're not him." Sam yelled out feeling defeat closing in and squeezing tightly.
"I hate to do this, I don't want to hurt him but, Titans… GO!" Robin said turning to Sam feeling defeated as well.
The Titans, hesitant at first, ran at Danny giving it all they could while still being careful not to hurt him too badly.
"I'm surprised you still try to defeat me, I won't be taken down as easily as you wish." Danny said while lighting both him hands with green energy. Power was radiating from him like a vast of toxic waste.
Beast Boy, in the form of a tiger, ran at Danny only to be thrown back by a green ecto-blast. Starfire came in right after Beast Boy, using his distraction and shot star bolt after star bolt at him back. Danny taken by surprise turned and shot 2 blue ice beams from his eyes, successfully freezing her.
Losing her concentration Starfire started falling to her death. Starfire shut her eyes and braced herself when she stopped falling. Opening her eyes she saw the ice encased in black magic. Starfire felt relived as Raven caught her, saving her from a world of pain.
The dark-haired demon carefully set Starfire down, but before she could break the ice a bright green blast hit her chest, sending her back.
Looking back at the red-eyed Danny, pain crossed the alien princess' face. She couldn't believe that Danny, the clueless, raven haired, blue-eyed brother or Robin, could turn into something so… evil. It hurt her to think she had lost one of her new friends.
"You should give up now! I have already won; there is no hope for you hero-wannabes." Dan's venomous voice rang out; a smile on his face that reached from ear to ear.
Cyborg shot a blast from his are that just barely missed Danny, only nicking his arm. To re-pay the attack, Danny lit up his hand in a static-green ball of electricity. When the ball hit Cyborg it shorted out his circuits, leaving him defenseless and scared this wouldn't end well.
"Who's next?" Dan said kicking the downed metal teen aside. Above the white-haired teen Beast Boy hovered as a fly. As soon as he saw the rest of his team down he changed into an elephant and came down on top of Danny. Instead of landing on him though, the halfa turned intangible and let the green changeling go through him.
Before Beast Boy had a chance to change again Danny shot and ecto blast at him, making him change human before he landed on top of a passed out Raven. Feeling sick from the feeling of Danny going through him he too passed out.
"Danny, why are you doing this? You need to snap out of it." Robin yelled in one last attempt to bring him back.
Danny's only response was a deep chuckle that vibrated around the room and growled in him throat. He floated to the ground and made a sword out of ecto-energy.
Hatred and determination replaced the fun and witty look always on Danny's face. Dick couldn't stand to see his brother in the state he's in. Pulling out his bo-staff the 2 brothers went at it in hand to hand combat.
The sound of metal hitting metal rang throughout the room, both brothers locked in battle. Both were evenly matched and neither could get a hit in on the other. As Robin began to tire he started to lose hope that Danny would never return to him. Loosing focus for one second cost him greatly; the leader of the Teen Titans couldn't block Danny's sword from cutting across his chest. He dropped to the ground in pain and bleeding badly, he didn't think he would leave this room; this was it for him; to die at his brothers feet.
"How could you! You… MONSTER!" Sam screamed so loud one would think she wouldn't have a voice. Her face was a mess from running mascara and eye shadow, her eyes puffy and red from crying.
Danny charged up and ecto-blast and aimed it at Sam. The Goth closed her eyes and waited for the end. The Titans had been defeated, his brother lay dying in him own blood and his girlfriend was going to die by his hand. Before Danny could release the blast a young and innocent little girls voice rang out.
"Daddy! Don't hurt mommy, I love you both." She started to sob and ran over to hug Sam.
Sam opened her eyes and almost started crying again. The little girl hanging on to her looked about 5 years old. She had black hair and when she opened her eyes they were a beautiful sky blue.
"Danielle!?" Sam whispered out.
"Mommy, what's wrong with daddy? I love dad and I thought he loved you?" Danni said looking over to Danny.
You could see in Danny's face he was trying to remember. The young clone had triggered something in the halfa. Sam and Danni watched as the white-haired teens eyes flashed from red to green to red. After about 12 times of changing colors, Danny closed his eyes tight, threw his head back and let loose his ghostly wail.
He fell to the ground breathing hard and about ready to pass out and sleep all winter. Sam ran up to Danny and pulled him into a hug.
"Danny? Look at me, everything's fine, I'm still here, Danni is still alive and the Titans aren't dead." Sam sobbed out with a shaky voice, but Danny cut off her next thought. His eyes shot open revealing his bright green orbs and face full of worry.
"Dick; he will he dead if I don't help him!" Danny said remembering when he slashed his sword across him.
Danny weakly got up and ran-walked over to his brother who had a good amount of blood soaking his uniform and floor. Using the last of his energy and a power he never learned, the younger brother put his hands over Dick's wound and concentrated. At first nothing happened but then a soft white glow formed from under his palms.
By this time the rest of the team started to come to and looked over to Danny and Robin. As the glow got brighter and Robin's wound started to close and heal the added weight on one of Danny's fingers went unnoticed.
By the time Danny finished Dick was sleeping calmly with only a scar in place of the cut. Danny, out of energy completely, was passed out on the floor mid- transformation.
So focused on the sleeping brothers everyone failed to notice a certain ghost of time in the background. Clockwork floated over to everyone and cleared his throat.
"Clockwork!" Sam said surprised.
"Don't worry, they will be fine. Daniel has chosen the right path, time will flow as it should." The master of time said.
"Clockwork what do you mean?" Sam replied looking unsure. Every time Clockwork meddled with time she knew it was for the better but it always made her nervous.
"First let's get back to my tower, but…" Clockwork floated over to Vlad and Vanish who were starting to come to. "Vanish, you have earned yourself 5 years in Walkers jail and Vlad, leave Danny alone and I better not see you again."
With a push of a button Vanish was sent to Walker and Vlad turned and flew off. Clockwork and everyone else were teleported to the grand Clock tower. By this time both brothers had begun to stir. Robin opened his eyes first and was confused that he felt no pain.
"Where am I, what happened, where's Danny and why don't I feel any pain?" Robin asked as he sat up a little, Starfire flying over to help.
Everyone turned to look over at Danny as he started to move. He opened his eyes and started to get into a sitting position.
"Daddy!" Danni said as she ran over to him.
"D-dad!?" What's going on? Danny said looking around, eyes landing on the ghost of time.
"Because Danielle was born a clone she doesn't have many human qualities like a human girl so when Vanish tried to change or reform her it simply de-aged her." Clockwork explained. "And I didn't tell you this but when Vlad cloned you and made little Danielle he used DNA from both you and Sam."
"Wait what! So I'm her mother!" Sam yelled out more as a statement than a question.
"Oh she's so cute!" Starfire flew over and hugged Danni.
"Does she have her… umm… you know…"
"No. I've hidden them within her. They won't show till she turns 10." Clockwork answered. Knowing the question was directed at Danielle's powers.
Danny looked a little happy because he wouldn't have to worry about Danni and ghosts for the time being.
"Wait a minute; you said Danni was your clone? So that makes me her brother/uncle!?" Robin asked standing up.
"I guess it does." Danny said smiling.
He ran his hand through his hair but stopped when he felt something scratch his head. He pulled his hand back to see a ring on his finger. Not just any ring, it was black with green around the band showing only the edges and underside black. The face of the ring had a 3-D silver skull on it that stood out the most. Engraved on the underside was 'King Phantom' which rested on Danny's finger. The detail on the ring was incredible; the curves and bumps from the elaborate placing of the black and green to the extreme detail in the skull. This was the ring of rage.
"Clockwork… What? I'm confused." Danny managed to get out while admiring the ring.
"Yes, I'm sure you are."
