Hello all my wonderful readers! I'm so terribly sorry I didn't update last week but I had run my first half marathon and was pretty tired and there was a lot of other crazy stuff. So, I spent some of my vacation writing for you all so I could get this chapter out a little early!

Chapter 11

Danny's POV

I looked at the green and black ring on my finger. It couldn't be true, Clockwork is playing a mind game again; he loves to do that. This ring was proof that I was the new King of the Ghost Zone, King of the Dead.

"H-how… Clockwork, it can't be true." I said with a shaky voice.

"Danny, what is that?" Dick asked looking at my hand.

"That's the ring of rage." Raven said surprising us all. "That ring that marks the King of the Dead."

"Whoa, hold up. Are you saying that Danny here is a king; and not just any king but a king of the dead!?" Cyborg spoke up, eyes wide as if he just got the latest video game.

"Yes that is quite right." Clockwork spoke up. "Daniel, I know this must be a lot to take in right now and there is more I need to tell you."

I looked up at Clockwork and at the faces of my team mates. I almost felt like laughing at their shocked faces had the situation not been so important. I bet none of them have ever been this close to death before.

"Dude this is so cool!" Beast Boy said with a big smile on his face and hands in the air.

"There is stuff to be done and a world to protect but I must explain a lot to you. Time Out!" Clockwork said.

It seemed like today was a good day to just pile the surprises on. Everyone in the room was frozen in place, in time… except me. I looked down at my chest but didn't see one of Clockwork's golden time medallions. Confusion was written well on my face.

"Why am I not frozen in time?" I asked shocked.

"Upon becoming king I cannot see or control your future without your permission. Therefore you are also immune to my time powers." The old stopwatch told me keeping a straight face. He floated over and grabbed some time medallions; I followed as well and grabbed a few. I slipped one over Dicks neck and he un-froze.

"What's going on?" He asked confused once he noticed time had stopped moving.

"Clockwork has stopped time; as long as you wear a time medallion you won't be affected when he freezes time." I explained to him and whoever else happened to listen in. Once everyone was wearing one of Clockwork's gold medallions he began to explain some things. A death glare from him told everyone to keep all questions until the very end.

"A while back I was informed of a dark future. I changed as much as I could without doing too much damage and keep the observant off my back but the rest was up to you. Either you would have fallen to darkness and turned into a version of Dan or you would stop and your future would turn out bright.

"If you had gone down the dark path, killed your team, friends, and daughter; you would eventually destroyed earth, taken over the Ghost Zone and ended up like Pariah Dark.

"But because you took the path you did you learned a new power, became stronger than any ghost and can finally claim your title as King." Clockwork explained to us all turning our fuzzy thoughts to clear ones.

"Man this is just too cool; we have an actual king on our team!" Cyborg spoke up walking over to hug Danny.

"Will I still be able to live with my team and my brother or am I needed here?" I asked worried I wouldn't see my brother as much.

"You may still live at the tower. However I will call you when you are needed here in the Ghost Zone." Clockwork said smiling.

"Where will Dani and I stay? Sam spoke up walking over to stand by me.

"We could give you a room in the tower. You guys will always be welcome." Dick said happiness clear on his face.

"You will need to stay with me for about a week to be properly crowned and to get familiar with your new powers." The ghost of time said. "Time In!"

1 week later, back at the tower… (No one's POV)

"Would you like to try my new dish I made? It is traditional to eat at least once every year." Starfire said offering her bowl of pink, jiggly mush to Raven.

"Umm no thanks Star, I already ate." The half demon responded.

At that moment a green portal opened up in the middle of the living room and out stepped King Danny of the Ghost Zone.

"Ahh! Danny, welcome home!" Starfire flew over and hugged Danny forgetting all about whatever she had cooked.

"It's good to see you too Star. Is Dick here?" Danny said hugging back happy to be home.

"He and the boys are taking care of a simple robbery. They should be back any time now." Raven spoke up. "Nice crown by the way."

"Well this one is mostly just a visual, I decided against wearing the crown of fire 24/7." Danny said putting a hand to the crown on his head. It was a simple silver band with beautiful engraving all the way around it. On the front it had a glowing green jewel that held only a fourth of the amount of power the crown of fire has. Nothing much changed except he now had a chain on his belt that held many little charms like a scythe, a thermos, and his DP symbol.

Everyone was pulled from their thoughts and turned to face the main door as it slid open and the 3 boys of the team walked in laughing their heads off.

"Did you see the face that guy made when I came in all like pow-punch-pow!" The green changeling said punching the air.

"And the way that other guy w- Oh hey, Danny's back!" Cyborg stopped mid-sentence once he noticed Danny standing in the living room.

In no time Danny was pulled into a killer group hug and being asked lots of questions and told lots of things he missed.

"Hold on, I just got here, I'll tell you all about what I did and I want to hear all the stuff I missed." The white-haired halfa said hugging everyone.

One at a time they were going to talk about all that went on in that last week but none got the chance to even get a word out before a red light covered the room and the emergency alarm blared loud and clear.

"Well I guess story time will have to wait while we go kick some bad guy but! Titans GO!" Danny said taking Robin's line. Every member jumped into action ready to take care of business.

Sadly there will only be one more chapter but I am writing another Danny Phantom story and I will start posting that one once it has been fully written so watch me for that one.
