Sebastian silently stalked through the navy halls, glancing at the gold and red tapestries and paintings with mild interest. This place reminded him so greatly of his youth, or at the very least what he could recall of it. In the very corners of his mind he could vaguely remember happily racing through these same hallways, loving the feeling of the red plush rugs that blanketed the hard wood floor against his bare feet, crimson eyes staring longingly at the demons depicted in each painting. Every image displayed fierce demon warriors in battle. How he longed to be just like them, to be strong, feared by all and doubted by none. Of course it was just a simple, childish desire. He was a prince and had no place in a demonic war. Instead he spent the majority of his days reading and training with the guard that his father had assigned to teach him how to fight.
A small frown came to the raven's face as he attempted to recall who the trainer was. He remembered the male to be a young, tall fellow who always wore a cocky grin on his face. The man also served as his bodyguard, although they hardly spoke aside from his lessons. It was beneath the heir of the throne to speak to a mere servant, or at the very least that was what his teachers and father always told him.
Sebastian sighed softly and paused, allowing himself a moment to stare out a frost covered window that was placed precariously in the middle of the hallway. Beyond the frost showed the beautiful gardens that made up the front of the yard completely blanketed in snow. It appeared as though the weather was just worsening, much to the Prince's dismay. He enjoyed the heat, not the irritable cold. Thoughts of the mysterious servant drifted from his mind as he instead sat on the little plush bench beside the window, reminiscing all the memories of his short childhood. Perhaps being around a child for so long was the cause of this temporary distraction, but it was welcomed nonetheless.
Claude hurriedly jogged through the long stretches of hallways, searching for the prince. He was well aware of what his brother had attempted to pull and it amused him as well as irritated him. It amused the younger spider demon how completely pathetic his brother was to believe that the high ranking heir of hell would simply bed any male that showed interest in him. The male wouldn't even bed his future mate, let alone a near stranger.
To be honest Claude had never particularly cared for his brother. When he was younger his brother was always away, seeming attending to a job he had acquired. Valentine would visit every so often, although he never paid much attention to his younger brother other than beating him up every once in a while for the slightest mistake. He would come for a day or so before leaving once more. It was only once Claude was a nearly a full grown demon that his brother returned home for good. From what the golden eyed demon could remember Valentine had said something along the lines of the fact the he was no longer needed in his line of work.
The precise memories were long gone, for at the time he was far too preoccupied by the loss of his future mate. It had only been several days since he had been informed that the prince had disappeared from the palace grounds and was nowhere to be found. They considered him to be a runaway and allowed him to explore earth for a while. The plum haired demon was not pleased in the slightest by that decision. He did not want to wait; he wanted to be with Allech. From there he searched every inch of earth for the raven, only settling down and forging a contract once he found the demon of his interest.
It was rather easy to manipulate the blonde human. The poor boy was so focused on love that he didn't see what was right in front of him. Claude's real goal was not to consume Alois's soul that merely proved to be a sweet addition. He had his gaze set solely on the raven demon who had taken the role of the lowly butler. He used the Phantomhive brat to lure the butler to his web and easily ensnarled the male after a bit of precise planning. The prince did not make his task any simpler; in fact the ex Phantomhive butler didn't seem to even process the ability to remember Claude. That struck the younger Spider demon as odd. Demon's prided themselves on harvesting spectacular memories, seeing as they lived for quite a while. To know that the raven couldn't recall a section of his past made the spider suspicious.
Clearing one last hallway Angelus finally spotted the man of his desires staring out a window, almost as though he was lost in thought.
Quietly Claude slipped down the hall and stopped behind the shorter demon. Beyond the window that Sebastian stared out was not much. Snow carpeted everything within sight, making it so everything just appeared white. The spider didn't quite understand what captured the raven's interest, but he didn't completely care. Instead he wrapped his arms around the other's slender waist and pressed his lips the back his neck, loving the feeling he got from being close to the prince.
"What has captured your attention so..?"
Sebastian suppressed the urge to jump at the feeling of something wrapping around him and he whipped his head around to find Claude standing behind him, a smirk plastered on his pale face.
"Nothing of your concern."
"You are ever so secretive…"
Red eyes closed and a soft sigh escaped him. Honestly, this whole situation was insane. This demon that pestered him so much on earth was now to become his mate? He was convinced that the world hated him. He felt as though he should despise Claude seeing as he nearly cost him the soul that he had carefully cultivated and crafted for years; the very soul that he found himself getting attached to before long.
"Some things are merely none of your business."
Sebastian hated to admit it but he did enjoy the warmth that Claude provided. The spider's body seemed to be significantly warmer than his own and the raven was slightly embarrassed. He was the only one thus far showing any signs of being affected by the cold and that did not sit well with him. It was true that everyone else had thrived in hell much longer than he, but he didn't enjoy being the only one showing weakness.
"You are to be my mate, many things are my business." Claude hummed, kissing the side of the smaller demon's neck as he did. It never ceased to amuse him how stubborn the man was to the evitable.
"Perhaps..." Sebastian turned around to face his fellow demon and stared up at him. Their height difference was not remarkable, but it was still apparent. Even though Sebastian wore heels that were an inch or so taller than Claude's the other demon still managed to tower ever so slightly over the prince.
"You agreed to give me a chance." Claude hummed, placing a light caste kiss to Allech's neck, "I expect you to heed to that promise."
Sebastian snickered slightly but nodded nonetheless.
"Then allow us to go out and spend the day together. I believe it is safe to assume that it has been quite some time since you last toured hell."
"Yes, you are correct with that statement." The raven hesitated for a moment, mauling several thoughts around in his head. "Very well, I will accompany you."
With that agreement Sebastian turned and returned to his room to grab a jacket, knowing that today would prove to be long and eventful.
