Starfire rushed quickly outside of her room. She couldn't believe what had just happened, memories of the both of them became a dark cloud over her mind, she was having trouble breathing or so it felt. Tears began brimming in her eyes, and soon tears began to stream down her face.
When she reached Robins room she tried knocking on the door but he didn't answer. Where was he? Why didn't he tell her? Again he had abandoned her in her time of need. Thoughts like these began swirling through her mind, perfectly accompanying her now darkened memories of him. Her hand reached out to the doors latch and she slid it open, hoping that he was in there and just hadn't heard her.
"I wish to speak to you, Robin" said Starfire quietly, looking up from the ground where her eyes had been previously glued. But when she looked up she wished she hadn't. Instead of seeing an empty room, or Robin sitting on his bed smiling, or doing whatever he does alone in his room she saw something very different.
Robin was sitting on the bed with a girl. One of the mysterious girls hands rested on his check, the other cupped around the back of his neck. His hands pressed seemingly softly against her hips (little did Starfire know though that he was trying to push away from the girl.) Starfire was no fool, she could tell that they were kissing, which she had come to understand was a gesture of affection to the people of earth. To Robin.
"How dare you!" Shouted Starfire, tears now streaming heavily down her face like a river of confusion and anger.
The girl released her grip on Robin and pulled away before he could make a display of pushing her away. The mysterious girl turned her face and flashed Starfire a devilish grin. "Nice to see you again, sister dear."
Starfires heart broke. Her head spun, all of her beautiful memories turned to nothing. She couldn't think to do anything but run. So she did, she turned around slowly then darted from the room. "Star, wait!" Robin called after her, standing up off of the bed. He ran after her as fast as his legs could carry him, slowly gaining speed on Starfire.
Starfire couldn't think of anywhere to run. She couldn't fly, her heart was to heavy and it grounded her. Her strength was diminishing, Robin had made her mind to weak. Starfire continued to run though, thinking of only one place to go. She ran as fast she could to the room Raven was staying, she had felt so alone in the world at that point, that the one person who always was alone was the only person who could save her from the feeling.
She turned a corner and dashed into Ravens room, it was dark. She wasn't there, but simply being inside of her room brought her comfort. Starfire sat down on the bed and buried her face in her hands. She didn't hear Robin enter the room, she only noticed his presence when he sat down next to her.
"Star, I can explain.." he said softly
"No! You cannot! And you will not call me 'Star' any more. You are to call me Princess, or Starfire." She said sternly
Starfire began regaining her composure and stood up off of the bed. She began to walk out of the room when Robin grabbed her hand.
"Robin, you are not to touch me."
"There's a lot I shouldn't do," he said. "But I haven't been caught yet."
Starfire turned, ready to scold him. But instead she was met with his face, he had a boyish charm about him that she couldn't resist, but she had too. For the sake of Tameran. Robin looked into her eyes, he'd done it many times before. He'd seen her outstanding beauty many times. But he'd never seen her like this before, he saw so much hurt in her eyes, he could see her broken heart. He couldn't think of anything he could say to mend it.
"Hey, Starfire. I was wondering if you wanted to…" said Haddix, seeming to appear out of nowhere.
"Unhand the princess at once" he said angrily, Starfire could practically see the fire in his eyes.
Robin refused, and his grip tightened on Starfires small wrist. "Make me," growled Robin.
"Guards! Guards!" called Haddix as a dozen guards began running down the hall. "This, earthling, wont unhand the princess" said Haddix to the first guard.
Starfire ripped her wrist away from Robins masculine grip, "please, he is a friend" said Starfire.
"Be he friend or enemy, he has touched the princess and is now under arrest. Seize him!" Said the guard, as the other 11 grabbed him by the arms and began to drag him off down the hall. Starfire turned and began to go after him, but Haddix grabbed her by the elbow and dragged her back to him.
"Come on Koriand'r, you don't need him anymore. You have me."
