chapter 4 time...
did I do a disclaimer yet? I don't own Doctor Who or any of the characters or creatures in my story, and all that. There ya go :3
"The other one is... well... me."
"You? Really? Oh! It is! Of course it is, I couldn't forget that wonderful face! Oh the adventures we had, Doctor..." She reminisced. "Is that Donna, then? Again? I wonder what's going on, that the TARDIS would show us glimpses of you and her..." The Doctor's wheels were turning, she could tell. Already he'd probably considered every possible reason for their appearance, formulated a plan to figure out what was going on, calculated how far away they were from the TARDIS so that he might turn around before they ran out of power, and decided that the TARDIS quite possibly does have a reason for everything. That or he was thinking very carefully about that spiky hair.
"Why did I wear my hair like that for so long?" He finally said out loud. "It makes me look like a porcupine!"
"I liked it that way! And besides, look at you now, all tweed jacket and bow tie." She joked. He looked at her, hurt, and she put up her hands in surrender. "Kidding! Actually, I love the bowtie. It's very... cool." His eyes lit up.
"That's what I always tell people, but none of them usually agree. They tend to call it 'old-fashioned' and 'weird' and the like. Rose Tyler, congratulations, you are the only one who understands!" He hugged her, awkwardly because of the limited space in the vessel, but she hugged him back anyway, laughing. "Oh, you should've seen the fez, too! And the Stetson and... have I told you how much I've missed you?" He had, of course, and Rose held him even tighter because she realized that he must really have meant it. She loved him, and always had, and always would. She couldn't wait to see where this new adventure would lead.
On the screen, Donna had seemed to notice them. She said something to the Doctor beside her, but they couldn't tell what she was saying. She was reprimanding him, and pointing in their direction, but that's as far as Rose could tell.
"Doctor! They know we're here!"
"No, no... no. i'm pretty fairly certain that she is just telling me how pathetic my sexy TARDIS is compared to this cramped little vessel. Looks aren't everything, Donna Noble!" he laughed, and Rose laughed with him.
"It's good to be back with you, Doctor." She leaned her head on his shoulder.
"It's good to have you back, Rose Tyler."
