A/N: Hello! Yes, I'm back, finally! I am extremely sorry about the delay folks, I was having some family issues, moving and school! No excuse to leave you guys hanging this long, I know! Remember, it's hard for me to come up with ideas, so be sure to make a request or give an idea every once in a while! Enjoy! Xoxo, Cass
You heard the quiet chime of bells from the front of the store. Looking up momentarily, you saw the back of a man in a tan trench coat, browsing the stores limited 'special entertainment'. You considered telling him not to get that volume of Asian Beauties, because you're sure you saw someone earlier doing some, not so pleasant things with the same copy. However, you quickly decided against it because you had a flavor of pie to choose. As you were contemplating between the apple and raspberry, you couldn't help but glance up at him once more. Sure enough, he was now holding the magazine away from him at a distance with his head cocked, the copy sideways as he tried to shake the sticky pages loose. It dawned on you that this man might not be the brightest bulb in the box, you shook your head and stuck both of the pies in your basket as you walked over to him.
"I wouldn't get that one if I were you." You chuckled slightly as you watched him turn around slowly, him arm still extended. You quickly ducked out of harms way and began leafing through the 'non-soiled' copies of Asian Beauties. The man simply dropped the magazine on the tiled floor and turned to face you again, his head still cocked to one side. How is his neck not aching?
"I wasn't aware Asian Beauties was also women entertainment." You paused at the sound of his voice, it was much deeper then you had expected, and it caused your stomach to flip.
"I've had experience in buying it for boyfriends, if that's what you mean."
"It wasn't."
"Hm?"
"What I meant. It wasn't what I meant."
Okay then. You two settled into an uncomfortable silence as you continued leafing through the various volumes of Asian Beauties. You finally found the one you'd bought for your ex last year.
"My ex seemed to like this one a lot." You turned around to hand him the copy when you stopped short at the sight of him holding your apple pie. He looked up at you and grabbed the volume out of your hand, tucking it under his arm and starting for the counter.
"H-Hold on, that's my pie!" He looked down at the pie, seemingly contemplating if he should ignore you or not.
Without turning around he stated, "You already have two other slices in your basket though."
"Y-Yeah, well apple is my favorite! And I got them myself, you can go in that aisle and go get your own!"
He sighed and stomped over to the aisle, like a two year old having a tantrum. He quickly scanned the pies, then stomped back.
"There's no other apple pies. Apple is Dean's favorite and I have to apologize to him. The best way to do that I've found is through apple pie and Asian Beauties."
"...Fine. You owe me something though!" He cocked his head to the side again and scrunched up his eyebrows in confusion.
"Like...Like dinner!" Yes, I'm asking for dinner from a man holding a porno and seemingly has no neck bone, great plan Y/N! The man did not seem fazed at all, and actually smiled a little bit. He tucked the pie under his arm and stuck out his hand.
"I'm Castiel."
"Like the angel?"
"Yes, I'm surprised you've heard of me." You smiled and shook your head, not knowing that later you would realize that wasn't a really cheesy pick-up line.
"I'm Y/N." You shook his hand, which was surprisingly rough and calloused. You let go and you both stood in awkward silence for a few seconds.
"I think this is where Dean usually asks for the girls number..." He seemed to frown in thought before seemingly coming to an agreement with himself. You laughed and pulled out a pen from your purse, and wrote your number on his hand, much to his confusion. You hoped the pie was worth it.
It was.
