Nobu quietly watched as Setsuna tended to the leaf ninjas downed teammates, one Uchiha and another brown-haired boy. The two were battered, the Uchiha baring the brunt of it, while the brown-haired one looked like he received a straightforward slap in his face before he went down.

As the boy watched Setsuna efficiently and systematicallys bandage the boys, Ken was off schooling the leaf kunoichi for choosing the worst and most dangerous possible position to defend her injured teammates and not possessing the necessary amount of skill to actually properly even use some of her traps however he could hear him commend her for her ability to adapt and her good quality traps.

Not that they were really all that much help.

"And don't get me started with your basic katas-" Nobu tuned them out and walked to the side of Setsuna, plopping down next to her in a quick motion. Setsuna didn't bat an eyelash at him instead opting to continue her work with the genin at her feet. "Strange, though the wounds are pretty bad, they shouldn't be bad enough that they'd be knocked out so deeply" Setsuna murmured as she bandaged a cut on one of their forearms.

Nobu nodded next to her however he doubted she noticed, she was a medic now and a medic rarely ,if ever, stray her attention from a patient. His calculating eyes dropped to the genin, noting how their arms were slightly muscled and also seeing the slight wear on their skin. 'These two trained, the kid went down quick but the hit to his head doesn't come near to causing a concussion and the Uchiha had to have been tougher than this'

His frown continuously deepened as he eyed the growing puzzle. When he heard the sounds of footsteps behind him, he immediately schooled his face, becoming more detached and overall carefree. "Yo" he drawled out as the two entered his vision.

Ken raised an eyebrow at him before shaking his head with a faint chuckle and Sakura was again comparing him to her sensei. Setsuna, who had finished bandaging her 'patients', smiled wryly at him and he shrugged uncaringly, leaning back to cloud gaze.

Ken eyes his teammate briefly before turning back at the kunoichi from the leaf, frowning how she flinched when he faced her. 'Probably doesn't want another ear-lashing' he mused. "Look it's as easy as day that your team isn't doing so well so..." He stared at her for awhile before tossing an extra earth scroll to her. Her eyes widened in surprise as she caught the scroll in midair her eyes darting to Ken's when she realised what he had given her.

"Take it, wouldn't mind seeing you guys at the tower, if you make it that is but we're done here, there is still another two days left so take care" She was flabbergasted and couldn't muster any words so instead she bowed to him and smiled appreciatively. Ken smiled back before patting Nobu's shoulder as he passed by "Come on lazy-ass let's go"

The ninja grunted before standing up in flourish and took point ahead of Ken, Setsuna already behind him and the trio disappeared into the forest.

Sakura watched them go for awhile before going to check up on Sasuke and Vol.

"What are you reading Kaguya?" Ichirou asked as he dumped the body of a bandit down onto the ground. Kaguya was lounging atop a tree branch, a book nestled into her hands as she read its contents with a happy smile.

"I'm reading" She replied as she flipped to another page. Ichirou grew annoyed and was tempted to reply sarcastically but instead calm his nerves and said out nice and sweet "Well what are you reading?" She raised an eyebrow at him, swinging her legs back and forth as she stared at his narrowed eyes.

She crunched her face up into concentration, biting her lower lips to show she was considering it but really she just wanted to annoy him. Annoy him she did as she could feel him pump chakra into his legs so that he could run up there and snatch the book from her.

She chuckled lowly before finally replying "The Secret Life of Arrietty" His temper cooled and he nodded his head. "Good book" He commented and she smiled "Very good book, its a shame they didn't write a second one"

Ichirou chuckled as he searched the bandits dead body pulling out senbon needles and rusted kunai as he shifted through the man's belongings. "They should make a movie, I'm sure you would be a great Arrietty and Kaguma a perfect sho! What a great romance movie!" He narrowly avoided a kunai for his head and he noticed how it had been coated in fire chakra. "That wasn't very nice" She growled at him and he continued chuckling all the way.

She frowned down at him and turned back to her book, she had just reached the part of Sho saving Arrietty's mom when Ichirou ruined the mood. She sighed as she closed the book and tucked it into her pouch, thanking Kaguma for teaching her some basic fuuinjutsu skills as it slid into her nearly bottomless pouch. She turned her eyes skyward and noticed the sun was setting. "I wonder why the Tsukikage wanted to leave so early, he isn't expected for another month or so right?" She questioned, though she would admit (The very first one to have said so actually) that Ichirou was very clumsy and idiotic, he was smart in the fact that he could get information nearly effortlessly and his skills in infiltration were so great he was once given the post of DEN operative under Delta squad. No one just enters delta squad and the fact that Ichirou was invited a spot was amazing! Not only that but he refused it!

She may act irritable around him but she had a deep respect for him.

"Tsukikage said he wanted to make a trip around and check a few things, you forget The Hidden Light is aligned with many smaller nations and maritime villages, its our job to keep them safe and the Tsukikage wants to make sure our troops are keeping them safe" He sighed to himself as incinerated the dead man's corpse before looking back up at Kaguya.

She blinked down at him and she felt heat rise in her ears as he intensified his stare. She turned away from him, fighting furiously against the red in her face as she stuttered "What are you looking it!"

He smiled at her and he gave a half-hearted chuckle "Yup you'd make a fine Arrietty" She shot him a dirty look before swinging herself from the tree branch. She raised her hand to smack him upside the head but felt something rise from the distance, something that caught them both by surprise.

"You feel that?" Kaguya questioned lowly. Ichirou nodded his head mutely and checked his kunai launchers. He grinned to himself when he had everything set and he spied Kaguya pulling out her tanto.

"It seems as though someone took it upon themselves to attack our Tsukikage" Ichirou's grinned widened at Kaguya's proclamation and he sped off into the forest canopy, the kunoichi not far behind. "He can handle it but I want a piece of what's left over" She pumped chakra into her legs and kept pace beside the male.

"What more can anyone ask?"

Naruto was frowning and inwardly fuming. He was standing there, his hands raised above his head as sound ninja, sound ninja surrounded them. He was fine with this, he could dispatch them easily but the problem was, with any battle, were the civilians in the mix.

He had entered the small village in search for an old spy contact when the sound ninjas came down. They were quick and agile but nothing exceptional like what he had seen with his DEN operatives and even Yang. But there were many of them, at least a working company with some high-levels mixed in. Kaguma was by his side an irritated and angry glare as he saw some of the ninjas holding women by their necks.

"Stay where you are or I swear we'll gut them" One of the ninjas sneered as he pulled the woman nearer, she looked like she was on the verge of tears as he sharp blade pricked against her skin.

"We go in for the kill? Or we dodge out?" Kabuto, if Naruto's memory rings true, was sitting atop one of the villages many buildings by his side were the Sound Four. The question was asked by a boy with three pairs of arms and he was looking hungrily at the two of them.

Kabuto waved the question away, his hand briefly pushing up against his glasses in a non-plus manner. "Now, now, engaging them in all out combat isn't the case. Orochimaru thought it prudent to hold these men, the Kage in particular, in high regard. They'd be more useful captured"

Naruto felt bile rise in his throat and he wasn't surprise to see Orochimaru's lackey taking in the deranged mans experiments and workings. "You mean experimenting!" Kaguma spat and his hand inched back for his tanto but was stopped with a yelp from a nearby hostage.

"Do it I dare you!" The DEN operative lowered his hand in a growl and snapped his mouth shut, baring fangs at them.

"My, my aren't the two of you lively" Kabuto smirked where he sat and he motioned for Kidomaru to step forward. "You know what to do" The spider-man nodded and performed a swift set of seals before plunging his hand into the ground and to Naruto's immense and unfathomable surprise a sealing array spread through them.

"This is a suppression seal" Kaguma noted as he eyed the haphazardly designed array, he knew as well as his kage the kid was no seals master, not even a novice. The entire thing was extremely volatile and could implode in any minute. The thing also had Kanji for different elements and barrier seals splashed here and there, the array practically butchered fuuinjutsu theorem and the DEN operative could feel his kages annoyance at that fact.

But what he missed was the deep and calculating look in Naruto's eyes.

"The kinky bastard" He muttered low underneath his breath. Deep within his mind he could hear Kurama snort in agreement. "The seal is designed with basics of suppression but contains volatile kanji and simple barrier formulas."

"In other words that boy had inadvertently created the most dangerous containment seal none to shinobi history by basically not knowing anything about fuuinjutsu" Kurama finished and NAruto added "Its so wrong but at the same time completely fascinating" Kurama rolled his eyes as his tenant continued to scan the array.

He could just break the array by expelling his chakra because that would eventually lead to the villagers and in fact anything within a three mile radius to be charred ashes, the elemental kanjis praticaly act as the barrier as they tell the person trapped inside the array 'Break out and I'll unleash the biggest wind-powered, electrified water and earth landslide on your arse' not only that but the suppression seal was designed that the person trapped was incapable of spiking his chakra because any chakra beyond civilian level that is generated would be siphoned off to power the array thus having the fundamental barrier arrays place around the center where the two of them were located.

"This is just fantastic" Kaguma whispered harshly as they were practically cornered. Naruto let out an old and waning sigh before finally saying "Well I guess we wait for Ichirou and Kaguya" Naruto slung his hands behind his head and noticed Kaguma slump with a pitiful groan "Heaven help us" He whimpered.

This is a filler chapter, mostly to set things up for the next chapter and to prepare you guys for the next two arcs, one is canon related the other not so much both will take a while but I've finally gotten my groove back in my writing and hopefully it won't take long, hopefully.
