Sorry I haven't written in a while, Oh my god I am so disappointed in myself. It's been maybe over 2 months. I owe you guys big time I am so sorry. I will make this a really good chapter.

Peeta drove me home and I quickly ran to my room to avoid seeing my mom or anyone else. When I laid on my soft bed

I cried and cried. I couldn't believe it he hit me. Gale my best friend/boyfriend (or shall I say ex boyfriend) Hit me. After

all these years I've been thinking he was to good for me and that he was always the good guy but really it's the other

way around. He doesn't deserve me. You would think I would have thought of that a couple of months ago. I wipe away

my tears and decide to eat something. I haven't eaten all day and it's making me grumpy. I walk down the cold wooden

stairs and to the kitchen to see my mom, Prim, and Haymitch all sitting at the table eating dinner. I thought of running

back up stairs, but then Haymitch notices me.

"Hello sweetheart." I roll my eyes.

"I called you down ten minutes ago," Mom says. She looked mad worse than mad pissed.

"I was busy." I didn't want to join them and I most definitely didn't want to starve, so I started looking through the

refrigerator.

"There's food over here Katniss." She said. I just continue to look into the fridge.

"I'm not that hungry I'll just grab something." I lie.

"Katniss Just come eat."

"I will alone and in my bedroom." I say it slow like I was talking to a child.

"Damnet Katniss, Haymitch slave over a hot stove to make this dinner, now come eat!" She yells. I turn toward her.

"It's not like I want to eat what the ass hole made anyway!" I yell back. Maybe I was over reacting, but I have had a long

day and I don't need her adding on to my problems.

"Watch your mouth young lady."

"I can say whatever the hell I want you can't control me."

"Ladies why don't we all calm down." Haymitch said

"Shut up you defiantly can't tell me what to do you aren't my family anyway." I yelled. With that everyone was quite.

"Prim why don't you go upstairs." Mom asked calmly. Being the obedient child she did what she was told. "What is going

on with you Katniss?" She had calmed down by now and was all ears.

"Like you even care." I say about to walk away.

"I do care, what makes you think I don't?"

"Your never here and when you are your cleaning or picking up after this ass hole."

"Katniss, have you been crying?" She says walking toward me. I gulp and straighten up. SHe examins my face then her

eye grew in worry. "Katniss what happen to your face? Who did this to you? Tell me who did this to you!" She asked. She

was spitting out questions like a ATM does cash.

"No one I'm fine." I say. I should have looked in the mirror before coming down here.

"You aren't fine you have a bruise the size of a steak on your cheek and I can tell you've been crying."

"I'm fine can you just leave me alone?" I run up the stairs as she yells for me to come back. I slam my door and cry and

then I cry harder when I realize I still haven't eaten.

That night I heard mom and Haymitch talking about me.

"Haymitch I don't know what to do anymore. We don't talk anymore, and she's right I'm never her. My schedule at work

has been so chaotic lately. Sometimes I would here her sneaking out the house and she wouldn't come back till' 4 in the

morning. I'm scared. For her, I mean what's gonna happen to her in the future?"

"I don't know we can only hope for the best. Babe I told you, you could always quite your job we have more than enough

money."

"I know but I like to get money on my own it makes me feel like I actually do something plus I love my job." It's silent

for a while and then mom speaks again. "Were did that bruise come from?"

"I don't know."

"I mean she couldn't of just gotten it on her own. It looked like someone hit her. God I'm going to kill them."

"Me too." Maybe he isn't such an ass.

"Then she has been crying I could tell, plus she lies to me constantly."

"I know, we'll talk more tomorrow we should get some sleep."

"Your right."

The next day I woke up with a minor headache. After Haymitch and mom left the kitchen after there conversation, I went

in and broke open a couple of beers. I take an aspirin and decide to get dressed. I throw on my black plade skirt and a

white shirt that said love in black cursive letters. I put on my black heels and did my make up. I thickened my eyeliner

and applied mascara. Then I covered up the bruise on my right cheek and put on some blush. I throw on some jewelry

and ran downstairs to see absolutely no one so I just waited for my ride to show up.

When Finnick and Annie picked me up we didn't say a word the whole drive. It was weird considering Finnick doesn't

have an off button. We arrive at school and everyone watches as I walk through the halls. Apparently bad news travels

just as fast as good news. Me and Gale broke up, But the roomer was Gale broke up with me because I Slept with some

drunk at a bar. That was what they were saying in math. In Social Studies they were saying Gale broke up with me

because he found out I was paying to show guy a "good time". What the hell they make me the bad guy. Peeta never

showed up to school today. I am going to call him later.

"Hey Kat." Madge says.

"Hey," That's all we say as we stand there waiting for the bell to ring. I was about to walk away when she spoke up.

"Are you okay?" She say quickly.

"I'm fine." I whisper, but she still give me the look. The 'we both know that's not true' look. "Really I'm great. Come on

I'm hungry." We walk to the cafeteria but when we walk in people would turn to the person next to them and whisper.

They weren't looking at me like they use to. I see Gale sitting at a new table with his friends. Jackson wasn't sitting with

him though. I sat down at the table only to find Finnick, Annie, and Jo sitting in silence. 5 minutes pass. 10 minutes

pass. "Did you guys hear about Mr. B's giving a pop quiz tomorrow."

"I know, it's not a pop quiz if he tells us." Annie said as a small smile appears on her face.

"I was thinking maybe we should go bowling this weekend. I'm really to whoop your asses." I laugh.

"Yeah right." Finnick laughs. We were finally talking when the sluts decide to walk over.

"There she is," Glimmer says as her evil minion takes my picture.

"What do you want?" I asked.

"So how does it feel to be dumped by the hottest guy in the school. Not that he even liked you in the first place."

"Shut the hell up, your always in someone else's business, can't you grow a pair and leave us the hell alone." Jo yelled.

Now everyone is looking at us with wide eyes waiting to see what she'd do, but all she did was smile.

"Oh please I have better things to do than hang out with you whores. Plus, who cares whatever the hell you have to say

Jo. You are our use to be drug addict." Jo looked surprised and as if she was about to die. No one knew that. She only

ever told me about her little 'problem'. The crowd that had formed were whispering and pointing.

"Go away!" Madge yells.

"awe, and miss out on a opportunity to finally put our dear Katniss Everdeen in shame, no I cannot do." She smiles.

"Now run along daddy's girl. I think I can hear him calling you." Madge is weak that's why I see a tear roll down her

cheek. Clove gets in her face.

"Your pathetic." She whispers. Madge jumps up and runs out the room crying. Annie and Finnick follow her to make

sure she's alright. I can't believe they made the most innocent girl in the entire school cry. Madge is weak that's why I

always felt it was my duty to protect her. I jump up and push Clove to the ground. The crowd quiets down as she slide

on the floor. Glimmer laughs.

"Is the Kat angry?" She asked. "Meow for us, Come on amuse me."

"It's not my job, maybe you should ask your boy toy Cato to do it. I'm pretty sure he do just about anything for you

right? Anything like have sex with you every now and then." She just nods. So I nod back. " But you have to pay him

before any play." The crowd laughs. She frowns.

"Screw you!" She yells.

"I don't roll like that, but your girlfriend Clove does, right?" They laugh again. I turn to walk away, but she spoke again.

"So that's why Gale, broke up with you." Everyone got quite. "You don't roll like that? Is it because you haven't had sex

since the beginning of the year and he got tired of waiting on an ungrateful whore. Or was it because you were sleeping

with one of his friends." Whispers. "Now who's the slut. Hey everybody, Katniss is having a sell. She wants to sell her

body, I heard she has been showing some guys a pretty good time." The boys whistle. "You know she takes after her

mom. Her stepdad only married her mom so he can get laid every night for almost nothing. And her poor sister

destined to turn out just like her a -" I didn't stay to hear the rest I ran out crying all the way to the bathroom. I was in

there maybe 10- 20 minutes and just when I thought I was calm enough to go I got a text.
