The scythe turned into human form and grabbed the red soul that was floating in the cool December air. The kishin soul slithered down his throat with ease. He burped soon after. The teens meister rolled her eyes and turned to look at the frozen water of Lake Michigan while she shivered as a gust of cool air blew on her body.
Of course the two weren't used to the cold weather considering they lived it the middle of a desert in Nevada. The mission was an particularly easy and they didn't feel like doing to much work (especially Soul).
Maka sat down in the cold hard sand and held her knees to her chest while she shivered again. Her partner sighed as a cloud blew from his mouth when his breath hit the air. He sat beside his meister and put his arm around her shoulder trying to warm her up. He looked into the horizon and saw the frozen water along with the sun set. Maka leaned her head on Souls shoulder as the both watched the sun set together.
Soul took the opportunity to kiss his meister on the top of the head and pulled her closer. They were just trying to warm each other up. Soul Thought as he lay his head on top of Maka's. But maybe. Just maybe it meant a little more.
