Chapter Thirteen: How 'bout a little cheer
Sarah looked at him, with a hint of confusion in her eyes. "I don't understand what you're asking me, Blaise."
Blaise yelled at her, "Tell me who you are!"
"Blaise, you're scaring me, you know who I am." Sarah answered. If she was startled by his outburst, she didn't show it.
"No, I don't even know if your real name is Sarah. Granger said she has never seen you before, which means you lied about being in Gryffindor. So what else have you been lying about?"
"I haven't been lying about anything, Blaise! She's a mudblood, how can you even listen you her? How to you know she isn't the one lying to you?" Sarah added.
"Yes, she is a mudblood and an annoying one at that, but at the moment I am investing my trust her more than I am you," Blaise answered sternly.
"Blaise," Sarah lifted her hand and placed it on his cheek, "I swear to you, I am not lying. Now, how about we head lunch and forget about all this chaos?"
Blaise wanted to disagree, but found it hard to do whilst he was looking in her eyes.
"Yeah, let's head to lunch." He said his voice trance like.
Sarah smiled and grabbed his hand, leading him to the Great Hall.
Draco and Hermione we're heading towards to portrait, when Hermione stopped. Draco looked back at her and noticed that she stopped walking.
"Hey, what's wrong?" He asked.
Hermione shook her head, "Nothing, nothing is wrong. You go ahead; I'm just going to use the loo."
Draco furrowed his eyebrows, "Are you sure? I can wait for-"
"No, I'm fine; I'll be there in a bit." She answered reassuringly.
Draco looked nervously at her, "Ok, if you say so."
He gave her a peck on the lips before walking out the portrait door.
Hermione sighed and walked into the loo, she stood at the sink in front of the mirror.
Hermione ran the water and splashed some cold water on her face to cool herself down.
She was so stressed, with Draco and the curse, and Sarah and her mysteriously sudden appearance, and then with Harry.
She dried her face off and headed back into the common room, to the portrait door.
Hermione entered the Great Hall and was immediately greeted by the loud chatter of the Hogwarts students.
She walked towards the Gryffindor table, when she noticed Blaise sitting at the table next to Sarah. She looked at the Slytherin table and saw Draco and Theodore Nott conversing, she ignored all the looks she was getting and proceeded to walk over to the Slytherin table. She sat down in between Pansy and Draco.
"Granger, are you lost? The Gryffindor table is over there, you know?" Pansy asked her.
"Yeah, I know. I just figured if Blaise can sit over there, why can't I sit over here?"
Pansy shrugged, "I guess so, and it's just that most of the Slytherin's won't be as accepting as Draco and I, except maybe Nott."
Theodore turned his head at the mention of his name. "Hey, Granger! Malfoy here talks about you A LOT!"
Hermione's lips curved into a very Malfoy smirk, "Oh really, does he?"
Draco's pale cheeks turned a light shade of red, "I-I d...don't talk about you,"
Hermione raised an eyebrow, and his face started to redden more.
"Well, I might have mentioned you once or twice..."
Pansy scoffed, "That's an understatement."
Hermione giggled and leaned over to kiss Draco as an apology for embarrassing him.
"Whoa, Hermione, you do realize we are in front of the entire school, right?" Draco said stopping her.
"Screw them!" She leaned in kissing him, when she pulled away the whole congregation of students (with the exception of Ginny, Ron, Harry, who was glaring at the two of them, and Pansy) had wide eyes and their mouths were agape as they all stared at Draco and Hermione.
Hermione and Draco held back their laughter and Hermione turned to Draco and whispered to him.
"We have to get out of here; I want to show you something."
Draco stood up slowly and Hermione followed his suit pushing him to go faster as they bolted out of the Great Hall.
Once they got out of the Great Hall they kept running until they reached the moving staircases.
They both sat down, gasping for breath, and they both started laughing.
"I think we've bought ourselves a whole week worth of gossip." Draco said to her.
Hermione shook her head still laughing, "A week! I'd say one or two months at the least!"
Draco nodded, "Alright, a month or two."
He never took his eyes off her; she could feel him leaning in closer. He reached up with his hand and with his fingers grabbed a piece of her curly hair that fell across her cheek and tucked it behind her ear, then with the back of his fingers he slowly traced the contours of her cheek.
She shivered at the touch and her lips parted ever so slightly as he leaned in closer never taking his eyes off her.
His hand slipped into her hair and cupped the back of her head easing her closer towards him to meet him half way. She didn't breathe.
His lips lightly touched hers with a testing touch light and sweet. Then he added a little more pressure causing her to close her eyes to savor the moment. He sucked in a breath and pulled away a little.
"So, what is it you wanted to show me?" Draco asked, breathing onto her lips.
"Well, I kind of wanted to do something as well."
Draco raised his eyebrows and had a mischievous smile on his face, "Oh, really?"
Hermione rolled her eyes playfully and grabbed his hand, standing up, "Do you ever think of anything that doesn't have to do with sex?"
"Of course not! I was kidding, Mia!" He added after she hit him on the shoulder.
Hermione looked at him puzzled, "You called me Mia. You've never called me that before."
"Yeah I did, last night." He answered smirking.
She blushed reminiscing the other night, "Oh, that's right you did."
After a while they finally reach their destination; the Astronomy Tower.
"Why'd you want to show me the Astronomy Tower?" Draco asked her.
"Well, since we both didn't really have much to eat for lunch, I figured maybe we could get the house elves to get something from the kitchens for us and we could eat up here."
"Alright, didn't think of the day when you would go against your precious S.P.O.O.N!"
Hermione hit him once again, "I was S.P.E.W!"
Draco chuckled at her, "I know, I just love to get you riled up."
"Dobby!"
Dobby popped in and smiled at Hermione cheerfully.
"Hello Harry Potter's friend!"
Hermione inwardly cringed, he always called her that.
"Dobby, its Hermione, Hermione Granger."
"How may I be of service Miss Hermione?"
She turned to Draco, "What do you want?"
"Uh, surprise me!"
She nodded leaning over to Dobby, whispering something in his ear.
Dobby nodded and popped out.
After a few minutes Dobby popped back in with two other house elves, they had four plates in total.
"I decided to just get a little bit if everything!"
"Alright, now it's my turn." He said something to one of the other house elves and the elf popped out, only to return a few seconds later with a bottle of fire whiskey and two glasses.
"Can Dobby be of anymore service?" Dobby chirped.
Hermione shook her head no.
The three elves popped out and left the couple alone.
"Are we even allowed to drink this on school grounds?" Hermione asked pointing towards the fire whiskey.
Draco grabbed the bottle and magicked it open, "We'll just have to see, won't we?" He poured some in both of the glasses and handed one to her. "Cheers!"
Hermione clinked her glass to his, "Cheers."
"Oh! I have an idea!" She yelled.
Draco took another sip of his fire whiskey, "What do you have in mind, sweet cheeks?"
"We each tell each other a secret that we don't want anyone else to know. I'll go first!"
Hermione thought for a minute before speaking, "You were my first."
"Really?" Draco asked.
She nodded.
"I'm sorry, I guess you're pretty mad at me about that."
"No, well I guess I was when it first happened, but not anymore. I'm actually glad that you were my first."
He smiled at that, "Alright, I guess it's my turn."
"When I was a child," Draco began as he turned to face her, watching the way the shadows cast by the fire danced across her pink cheeks, "Father used to use the name of Greyback to threaten me. And many times, he had that monster come over our Manor…just to taunt me. Greyback knew how much he frightened me and he used it to his advantage. Father let him."
Hermione reached out and put her hand on his cheek in a comforting manner, "I'm sorry, Draco."
"It's fine, besides I'll get my revenge soon enough." He kissed her reassuringly.
Soon after Draco and Hermione left the Great Hall, the room filled with talk (of course all about them).
Sarah leaned over to Blaise and told him she was going to use the loo.
Once she left the Great Hall she turned down the corridor and went into Moaning Myrtles 'haunted' bathroom and pulled out her coin.
"We have a stop in our plan. It seems the younger Malfoy is courting some Mudblood by the name of Granger" She spoke quietly.
"Ah, I know exactly who you are referring to." The dark voice answered.
"This is a problem, we cannot afford to have any problems. You need to end their relationship and if that doesn't work, just eliminate her entirely."
