Stormy´s eyes where getting adjusted to the dim light he was seeing, next to him, was Twilight Sparkle, and hugging him, was Pinkie Pie, his head was hurt, his mind was dizzy, he asked for explanation, about why he was alone, however, his answer came quickly
"You where under the influence of the Mind Delve spell "Twilight said
The Mind Delve spell… so… all that time, he was indeed seeing his own memories and Luna's memories, Pinkie Pie never left his side, she even had covered him with a blanket due to his body growing cold several times, Pinkie explained
"I know what happened there brother… I know, that's why I wanted to be at your side " Pinkie said, a little sad she couldn't be with his brother
"You where always with me Pinkie, you are my big sister" Stormy said as he hugged the mare
"But Stormy… there is something I couldn't understand when the spell started" Twilight asked Stormy
"What is it?" Stormy replied
"I noticed a second energy in your mind, linking the spell with another pony, where somepony else in what you saw? " Twilight informed and asked
Oh crisps!, the princess!, Luna was with him when they got out, what if the energy that Twilight felt was Luna Dream Ability, and that connected Stormy mind to her? So she experienced everything while she was asleep, but as he got himself up… he felt his body heavy, but his mind, was lightly, he felt as if he had removed a weight from his mind… for the first time in a long time, he felt his smile back on his face, but his worry as guard, kicked in, as he asked both mares to come with him to Luna Bedroom
"Girls… lets just say that I was not alone, but I need to make sure she came back safely" Stormy said
"I will follow you this time Stormy "Pinkie said
"I haven't seen the Princess in a while, I wonder where she is?" Twilight said, asking herself
"I guess I have a idea" Stormy said, able to predict where Princess Celestia was "however girls… I want to do this alone ok?" Stormy asked the 2 mares
Stormy needed a little help to walk at first, but he checked the room he was, everything was exactly as he left it before Twilight used the spell, so, she was with Stormy all the time, keeping him alive. Just like when he was in the fog world, when he exited the secret room, the door closed automatically, this time however, he was with Twilight and Pinkie, and notice there was no longer any fog, with a relaxed expression he saw through the window, the city was clear enough to be seen, he could even see Ponyville in the horizon, he then noticed that all the Guards where looking at him, specially Noirstar, his superior, he instantly noticed his state, worry free, Stormy said Twilight and Pinkie to went ahead, he needed to talk with Noirstar, the pony always had a cold eyes and seriousness, but Stormy really knew what he was in reality, he got close enough to the "pony" and hugged him, smiling
"How are you doing Stormy?, by the looks of this I guess ok" Noirstar asked
"you are correct buddy im happy!" Stormy said as he hugged his friend
"its been a while since I saw that happy attitude, you are back comrade" Noirstar said, leaving a air of relief
"I know right… listen, it had to happen this visit for me to value my life and my friends…also…don't worry… I wont tell anypony, I will make sure you live here as changeling or pony" Stormy said to his friend
"Wait…how in Equestria did you…on second though, don't answer that, I don't think I could take it in, but I do want to know, how did you notice?" Noirstar asked, concerned about how did his friend knew about he being a changeling in secret
"Although you are my superior…no guards here have green magic aura, with few exceptions, besides " Stormy smiled joking " you ate way to much, like a whole army, and yet you still in shape, so you must have a alternative source of food"
"And you drool each time you see Luna "Noirstar returned the joke
"Touché" Stormy replied
Both ponies laughed as Stormy set his way to the Princess Bedroom, he took the shortcut through the castle garden and internal palaces guest room area, the trip was short, or at least he felt it, perhaps all he experienced during the mind delve spell really did happen?, his mind and Luna were connected under a alternative dimension, or did they really into each other sub conscious?, inside their own traumas and fears?, while he galloped to the princess bedroom, his answer where quickly coming to him, seeing all the other guard ponies and royals walking in the street, made Stormy felt happy, like if he had just recently woke up from a nightmare, once he reached the tower building, he saw the guards waiting for him, he already got permission to go up, he went upstairs to Luna room, as expected, they found 2 guard ponies not allowing anypony the access, unless Celestia herself authorized it, Stormy had a smile, at Celestia "high security " methods
"im Sorry, I cant let you in, both Princess have been there for hours" The guard pony said
"You do know guys im not a Lunar guard at the moment right?..." Stormy said as he took the ocarina, but then he thought
"Princess…I feel offended, I was a noble thief, stealing from criminals, and local hero for a time in Manehatten, you think I would know already by now, how to enter a room not using the main entrance?"
Stormy walked out of the guards way, and played the Prelude of Friendship song, teleporting him instantly to Luna's bedroom, as expected, there was a magic on the door, that unable anypony to break it, however, the song was the exception to the rule, being a song from the ancient Book of Ancient Song of Harmony, and since was very ancient, even Celestia knew the song was able to skip any barrier, as it teleported friends to their locations, no matter what physical barrier is between them
"Its been a while since I heard the ancient songs Stormy, just like when you used the Oath of Harmony those years ago"
Just as he guessed, Princess Celestia was next to Luna bed, the princess of the night was still asleep, the guards didn't knew about anything, Celestia was actually right in Stormy using the song before, when he used the Oath of Harmony during Blackhorn battle, the laughter element alerted the princess about what was happening, Celestia actually had some explaining to do, for starters, why did she informed and bring Twilight to the palace, when he only requested Pinkie, not that he is complaining, but he was curious, also, how did Luna and him got connected by the mind delve spell?, he was getting answers and now
"I do believe you manage to find a cure for your nightmares, im correct Stormy?" Celestia said
"I did Princess…I did actually, with a little help from your sister "Stormy confessed to the princess
"Im sorry princess, I felt a second energy in hers mind the mere second I started the mind delve spell" Celestia said, as she continued with something
" I triggered my sister ability on purpose when I used the mind delve spell on her " Celestia confessed
"Why?" Stormy questioned, calmly
"I knew that both of you had problems with nightmares, the ones from Luna where not different from yours. However, since her dream ability puts her in a trance state, It channeled itself on the nearest pony that had a troubled mind, yours" Celestia explained her sister issues
"if you knew…How in your mother name didn't you intervene before?!" Stormy raised his voice annoyed
"Sadly, just like when I was late on your hour of need many years ago, I didn't noticed it until Luna brought it up, Im so sorry Stormy, if I wish I could come to your aid right away, but my sister…" she tried to apologize but Stormy interrupted
"I understand your highness; family will always come first…" he said with a smile, before asking something. "Princess…how is "he" doing?", kind of unusual for Stormy to ask for "him", Celestia just let out one answer
"in his cell on the castle dungeons, awaiting trial "Celestia said with heaviness but also malice in her voice

"Let's just say that, if he ever gets out, is only for his execution or to be banished to the Sun for his actions. " Celestia finally replied
Yeesh…and this is Celestia calm punishment?, what would she do if she was pissed of?, in the end, all his money, anatomy skills and magic meant nothing, he will be facing his punishment for longer time, at last, that black stain in his heart and life, had disappeared, Celestia however, asked Stormy a phrase, one that made him fear his own answer
"Can you tell me…what did you two saw?" Celestia asked
"why do you ask that princess?" Stormy returned a question to the princess
"is curiosity really" Celestia replied, as she talked with the colt
"no matter how many times I use that spell, it just won't have the same effect with me as with my student, if I use it, Im able to see it all, the trauma the pony has, his past, etcetera. However, when Twilight use it, she says to me that after she used it, she is like in a Black void, unable to see anything in the target mind, until she opens up her eyes, and the pony is still either sit, asleep or resting on the floor, but there are instances of their temperature going colder over time " Celestia said, recalling the times she used the spell
"I see… but why linking us together?" Stormy asked the princess, now about the reason of Luna mind connected to his
" I knew there was a connection between the two of you already, so I figured it was better for you both to be together and get rid of 2 problems with one stone"
Celestia laughed, as Luna was now waking up, Celestia asked Stormy to stay in her sister bedroom however, she let a warning to the colt, with a face it would scare Discord himself; " Do anything funny to my sister and you will wish you would be banished ".
Come on Princess, first Luna thinking naughty, and now Celestia too?, Stormy came closer to the princess and carefully, touched her mane, with his muzzle he tried to give the princess a kiss, but his surprise was when Luna herself was the one that kissed him.
Words where not necessary at this point, Luna understood, all that had transpired, the ghost of their past, all the suffering they endured in their own, being product of their own fears, was now finally over by them working together, their minds where at ease now, free from the past that held them back, able to finally move forward.
Stormy made the decision to continue to be one of Luna Guards, but she had a different idea, after his time off, Stormy will become Luna personal guard, much like Shinning Armor is both Husband, and Personal Guard for Princess Cadance in the Cristal Empire.
Stormy and Luna started to talk, about their favorite things, games, desserts, While, on the other side of the wooden door, Celestia was spying on them, Twilight and Pinkie too, to see if something else happened besides talk, all the experience that Luna and Stormy had shared just made their bond of friendship stronger, a bond that started when Luna was still exiled, forged from a wish, forgotten for a moment as fast as a shooting star, but reignited again, with the strength of the sun itself, as if they where fillyhood friends all along, Luna asked Stormy about the ancient book, and Stormy replied that he still had it, he didn't returned it when he left the Everfree Forest, Luna could see why, if somepony finds about the book, could be problematic, it is better to be in the hooves of the one that, by destiny, found it. Speaking of destiny, Luna asked Stormy about his brother, if he was still on the Canterlot Hospital, Stormy only replied to a yes, and wished he could wake up… that is when he remembered, he has the book completed in his apartment!, there was a song powerful enough to wake him up from his coma, Luna said that by their own Law, neither her or Celestia could intervene in Mistshine fate, because other ponies would ask for the Princess interference, giving them preferred treatment over other ponies that are worse that him, however, she can be on Stormy side to see his brother waking up, when they got to the door, and opened it up, they found the 3 ponies spying on them.
"What in the name of Equestria are you doing?" Both said at the same time
"Nothing nothing " Celestia and Twilight lied
"Brother….Stormy, can I come?" Pinkie asked
"huh?" Stormy saw Pinkie, with her smile as always
"I want to give your brother the best…party…EVER, when he wakes up that is" Pinkie said, exploding confetti out of nowhere
"Of Course Pinkie, come with us" Stormy gave permission to Pinkie Pie to come with them
Stormy quickly went to his apartment to gather the book, Luna a little nervous to be on the colt house for real this time, stepped inside, while Pinkie just bounced over the stairs reaching Stormy bedroom. Stormy moved his furniture and from below the bed, he ripped a few tables, revealing a safe, most Canterlot citizens keeps all their bits in one of those, but Stormy had something far more valuable inside, using a special unlocking spell he created for the special safe, and inserting his horn on the slot, unlocking it, inside, there was 3 items important for Stormy, Sunnybreeze Tiara, very old, Redhoof Pink Ribbon, with holes and dried blood that was unable to be removed, and finally, the most important of them all, the Book of Ancient Song of Harmony, taking the book, and opened it up, he found the 2 songs he needed, all 3 ponies put way towards the hospital, while Luna was stuck, on Stormy´s Ponycube Console
"You did had a Ponycube…tell me you have Resident Discorded Saga from 1 to Code: Lauren"
"I do, I can lend it to you later " Stormy said joking with the princess
"Play for a bit!, I must finish the cake and cupcakes! " Said Pinkie Pie from the kitchen, baking a cake for Mistshine
"Allow me to help sister " Stormy asked Pinkie
"Come on, let me do it this time, for old times " Pinkie insisted " besides… you still remember how to do them?" Pinkie asked
"Are you kidding me?, of course, after all " Stormy said, before Luna said something
"Oh Sweet Celestia… here we go" Luna said doing a facehoof, but with a smile in her face, as she couldn't believe she will see this

The 3 of them laughed after this, letting the happiness shine in their hearts, once the cake was done; they set their way to the hospital. All around Canterlot, the curious eyes of the ponies where in the trio, it was already unusual to see one of the Princess walking on the streets, specially Luna that sleeps on the morning, and most ponies bowed to her, while Pinkie, as usual, being random, and with a helmet with a red light, guiding Stormy, that was the one carrying the cake and cupcakes with his magic, to the building.
Once inside, they searched for Mistshine room, the room 402, the doctors asked what they where doing, but Princess Luna talked for the ponies, saying she is just for visit, while, those 2 will perform a miracle, she also, asked for the Doctor that attended her to forgive her, the nurses said they will inform the director of the princess wishes as the trio entered the room. Mistshine was laying there, on the bed, his body, did not matched his mind, as when he was hospitalized, he was little, he had spend all his fillyhood attached to that bed, and kept alive by Celestia herself, anonymously that is, the body was almost as big as Pinkie, but his mind was still of a foal, a very worn out and hoof stitched Fluttershy doll was in his hoof, it was going to be a little hard his recovery, but Stormy was willing to get his brother back, Stormy pulled out his ocarina, and played the songs he needed, The Sonata of Griffons and the most important one, The Song of Refresh, the notes could be heard from outside Mistshine room, the Sonata of Griffons manage to slowly recovered his consciousness, while the Song of Healing, was working on the most important damage, his head trauma, his heart beat started to get quicker, indication the resistant of his coma to keep him asleep forever, the Doctors alarmed, tried to stop Stormy, but Pinkie interfered, saying " don't give the surprise yet, he is not ready" Stormy used all his magic, he could not let his bro go, not this time!, he concentrated as hard as he could, since he haven't perform the songs in a long time, although he already remembered them from what he endured during the mind delve spell, his moondust magic also awakened, and intervened in Mistshine fate, speeding up the Song of Healing effects, and the trauma started to slowly fade away from Mistshine brain…exhausted, Stormy lost his magic focus, and his ocarina felt on Mistshine bed, next to the doll, Stormy looked as his brother...
Stormy…cried… cried silently, but happy, his brother was opening his eyes finally, seeing Everypony on the room, Pinkie yelled a happy birthday, and put the cake near the bed, ironically, Pinkie is never wrong in birthdays, it was indeed Mistshine birthday, Stormy´s visits where his birthday present, just that this time, it was the best present of all, finally waking up, Mistshine looked at his brother…able to let out a few words…
"Brother…i…I had a strange dream " Mistshine let out his first words in years
"oh yeah little one?" Princess Luna said to the colt
"care to tell us what it was? " Stormy and Pinkie asked his the colt
"I dreamed… I was alone…alone in a world with pony around, only shadows and fog… but then… all went dark…but I felt your song… and I felt your hooves… and I believe I heard the voices of the princess, but must importantly…something you and the princess said, but I couldn't understand… what did you two say brother? " Mistshine said, a little slow, trying to speak normally
"emmm…" Luna did not know what to say, but she saw how his brother came closed to him
"I said…." Stormy said to his brother, as he hugged him, and Mistshine hugged him back, finally, stopping his tears
"Hey…. You on the other side… you better give me back my brother… cause for him…I will get across hell and back…and if I ever get my hooves on you….you will regret even touching one hair of his mane" Stormy said to his brother

"And I will also follow, to help him, and im assure you, we wont be kind to you " Luna said, completing her colt phrase
Stormy, Pinkie Pie, and Luna hugged the now stallion tightly, Mistshine hugged them all with his hooves, happy, as he rested his doll, next to his brother ocarina.
